We went for my cousin’s birthday. We left it up to the chef to surprise us. The tapas were spectacular!!
Just overpriced Spanish food below any fine dining you would find in Spain
Food, environment, and service was excellent. Music choice is however rather tasteless.
Entertained friends from out-of-town. They are Foodies and have
eaten at several of Jose Andres restaurants so we thought they
we appreciate the Bazaar. Lovely ambiance, attentive serve,
tasty food. A grand time was had be all.
A memorable meal and dinner experience! I look forward to returning again.
Two words- Dessert Graffiti. Do it
This was A Birthday present for my Wife, We went to LA for A birthday weekend and I wanted to take her somewhere special for a birthday dinner, This place was just amazing, Our Waitress her name was Precious, Was so knowledgeable on the food menu Everything she explained too us was exactly the way it was when we got our food, We opted for the Omakase Menu, Which is 14 different items Of Two, so you get the taste 14 different things, My wife is more of a pork chop and Apple sauce type woman, The bagel and lox cone was awesome, The sweet potato chips were awesome, The Japanese taco was great, the Olives Ferran Adria were just amazing, I could keep going on about the other 10 items as well, But you will have to go try them yourself, and let me not forget James the manager You can see that he wanted to make sure that you had the best experience ever, He was just An amazing man, He walked around to talk to you. asked me if had any questions, The Waitresses and waiters and James All told my wife happy birthday , they were all very thoughtful and kind. Then let's not forget The truffle A La carte for 2 ,after you did all your food tasting we went to a different room to eat dessert which was awesome. We're from Alaska and I would definitely give The Bazaar a 10,and we will definitely come back.
Exquisite food, amazing cocktails and the sweetest kindest waitress!! Loved loved this place!!
As always, Bazaar food presentation never lacks. The flavor notes paired with unique presentation creates a memorable food experience. From the caviar cones to their salty foam margarita, everything was a delight.
The atmosphere was busy, and seemed much brighter then what I remember from past visits.
Hostess stand staff was very friendly and sat us right away. A nice change from my last visit a few years ago where they were quite snobbish and actually forgot about us at the bar.
Service wise, while our server was very friendly and informative, we went many times throughout the night with empty water glasses, and our cocktails got very low with watery ice cubes dissolving in our glasses. At one point we had to ask another employee to get more water and order more drinks.
What we had: Cavier Cones, Squash blossoms tempura, Lemon foam/brussel sprouts, Pork buns, Philly Cheese steaks, olives (modern are delicious/standard are a bit briney with the added anchovy) Scallop Ceviche (amazing).
Our server in the patissier/dessert area of the restaurant was really wonderful. From friendly service to being extremely attentive. We did have a nut allergy and unfortunately weren't told that one of the items we ordered had nuts. It turned out okay, because we had ordered multiple items.
Overall, a superb place to visit. It will surely impress your date and your taste buds.
It's important to know that this is isn't a budget-friendly spot, and is best saved for special occasions and Instagram worthy foodie shots. While it is a tapas restaurant, portions are smaller than maybe some other tapas spots you have visited before. Bazaar recommends 8-9 tapas per 2 people.
Valet service - while very friendly, is a bit of a cluster due to the SLS Hotel and is very pricey. At a whopping $17.40 (why they charge with change is beyond me) prepare to hand over a $20 bill for parking that night.
Delicious inventive food. Fun atmosphere and very fun cocktails.
Birthday dinner was amazing — made sure to take care of the birthday girl and make her night wonderful.
Our sever Raj was GREAT.
Went for my wife's birthday, and the whole group was blown away. Raj took great care of us, and we let the chefs choose our courses for us. The best, most creative meal we've had. And Shane O'Brien is a beast in the kitchen!
Inventive Spanish tapas. Octopus toast with a hint of chilli was delightful. Beverly Hill prices though!
The tapas were delicious and Rual did an amazing job explaining what is in each dish. I was very pleased to learn about the dessert room. I’ll definitely come back again.
Myself and my friends who I had dinner with, have dined at the Bazaar several times. We were all in agreement, that the quality of the food was not the same. I use to walk away from a dining experience telling all my friends how amazing the food was and worth the prices they charge. This time may be the last for me. A bit disappointed. The service was great!
Matt did a great job waiting on our table
Sehr freundliche Bedienung
The food was okay. We wanted to try the chefs menu, though it was $100 per person but I guess price went up to $150 per person. So we just ordered off the menu. The Japanese taco was excellent, coffee rub flat iron was good, guacamole was good, king crab was excellent. The others were okay, the Spanish octopus was too soft in my taste and not a fan of the sauce. The beef cheek was okay as well. The desserts were amazing. We got free champagne tho :))
My daughter lives in New York and everytime she comes out to LA she wants to eat here. It is pricey but it is definitely one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. The drinks are very creative and fun. Try the Apollo or Ramos Gin Fizz. Delightful. And each dish is a gem. We love the crab with raspberries and the crab bao. The scallops are the best we every had and the grilled octobus was delicious. My daughter's favorite is the cotton candy foie gras. It is always a pleasure to eat here.
Distinctive and unusual Tapas. Really excellent! The Sommelier in particular was extremely helpful and accommodating.
A LA classic. Don’t miss if ever in the area. A great dining experience.
Did the truffle tasting menu. The courses were just regular menu items with some truffle shaved on them rather than dishes that incorporate truffles.
Was not impressed.
Check in experience and bar was great for the wait. The hostess was fantastic and super friendly. The service and meat dishes were just underwhelming
Recommended by my neighbors for an dinning out experience, It was all that and more. The food, coctails and deserts were fabulous! It seemed to have very fresh ingredient well prepared with thought & a twist. We has a great night with our daughter. The decor made it fun to explore and to meet new faces.
Used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The food is still excellent but our waiter was downright rude a couple of times. Maybe he was having a bad day but telling a guest he couldn't get a word in when she was just asking questions (and she was being polite) is not a recipe for repeat business. And then they really screwed up our check. They took care of it but even having it happen wasn't great. It sucks because this was one of my go to places.
This review is regarding the special black truffle menu that was featured in February 2018.
While the dishes themselves were interesting and tasted good, the 'truffle' aspect was an utter letdown. Instead of truffle being integrate or used in preparation or ingredients, the truffle was just sliced on top of each dish -- losing aroma and lacking any creativity.
Were it a normal meal I would not be as disappointed, but we attended for the special truffle menu!
To top it all off we were a group of 3 and all our dishes were plated on two plates instead of 1 or 3. In fact, for on dish which was served in a jar, we were only brought two and after pointing out that we were 3 people, had to wait until the third was prepared and brought out.
This is an out of the ordinary restaurant. Great "tapas" menu. Very creative and tasty. Service could not be better: attentive, friendly and professional. A wonderful experience that made our anniversary special. Highly recommend it. Somewaht expensive but worth every penny.
Great food and love the tapas style so you can try lots of different dishes. Favs are Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, Croquetas de Pollo, Jicama Wrapped Guacamole and Philly Cheesesteak. Our waitress, Precious, was fantastic! Ambiance is nice and great for groups and special celebrations.
Went for their special edition truffle dinner and had a wonderful meal and experience.
Spectacular, as always.
Impeccable service, delicious interesting food.
Amazing date or small group experience. You start at the bar where they’re heavy on the foam and liquid nitrogen but all to successful extent, then are whisked over to their tapas section (private and communal tables), enjoy a la carte or tasting menu tapas featuring Spanish standards and New American twists, then a final landing on the other side of this delicious cavern in the patisserie for dessert. Also ok that side there are various displays of jewelry, artifacts etc.
We did 10 tapas, three cocktails, two desserts and coffee with a 20% tip (their service feels very Four Seasons) for $300. Spend it if you’ve got it, your date will be impressed.
The ambiance was hectic and the music was too loud and dance club-like. The server was not very attentive and it took drinks far too long to come out, more than once. The food is interesting, some dishes better than others - and the menu relys heavily on gimmicks. It's creative but expensive for what it is - gimmick over flavor or portion.
Got seated at a crappy tiny little bistro table for a party of 4. That doesn’t work based on multiple tapas dishes. Ridiculous and annoying.
Excellent experience! Love it all! To repeat without doubt!!
I’ve been to 40+ countries and eaten at some of the best restaurants. This is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. When I lived in LA I’d here here a lot, now just when visiting. It’s truly a gastronomers paradise. Creative dishes, wonderful presentation. Trust me, it will be a wowing experience!
Not your everyday caprese
Cotton candy foie gras
Brussel sprout salad
Been many times over the years with great memories Now this venue has completely lost its charm. As soon as I was told it is now owned by Marriott, I understood why.
The best food I’ve had in LA!!
Third time dining at Bazaar and always have had a great experience recommend ordering the Omakase tasting menu. Well worth your money.
