Scored excellent overall because it was very high in all grading areas. Very friendly staff, very good service, tasting menu was very good. Not enough Washington wines on the wine list.
Go for the view and never mind the prices.
Our group of four dined at The Bay House to celebrate a wedding anniversary and a birthday. The evening was outstanding in every sense of the word. We began with an appetizer of clams that was generous and done to perfection. It was enough for our table to share. The salads were small, but in proportion to the rest of the meal. Two of us had scallops (5) accompanied by a luscious sauce and vegetable. The other two meals consisted of beef cooked just right for our rare meat eaters. Cocktails and wine were superb. For dessert the creme brulee was the perfect topper. This was a memorable meal and worth every cent. Yes, it was expensive, but for a special occasion, it can't be beat at the coast.
Been to the Bay House about 4 times over the past 10 years. each time it gets better.
only advice is stick with the wine selections, as there are many to chose from. Cocktails are not their strength.
We've been to the Bay House for dinner many times over many years, and it has always been excellent. This time was no different. The menu is not quite as large or as seafood-oriented as in the past, but the food was excellent and our service was top notch. The only off-note was a very pricy corkage fee.
All that we expected for one of the best on the Oregon Coast.
Had a truly great meal at The Bay House, the food was just outstanding and complimented by the service from John. Extensive wine list and John helped us to find the right one for our dinner. Six people and we were all pleased with our meals, definitely will go back when in the area.
The Bay House has a great view and good food, but the menu selections have diminished over the years. There were only four entree choices. Although the food pairings were excellent, we never received the appetizer we ordered and our food was cold when it arrived at our table. Given the price and our previous experiences, we expected better.
We have been to the Bay House many imes on our visits to the coast. The food is oonsistent and the service is always great. We had salmon and pork beef tenderloing and they were fabulous.
As usual above a 5 star in every respect.
