Really good experience - last time was about a year ago. Food was just as consistent as it was then. The margaritas were good too.

Booked in for dinner with a good friend as i'd heard good things about the Basement. We were not disappointed. It had a good vibe on arrival, staff were attentive without being overly so, menu has great options and what we both ordered was very tasty, filling and great value. Will definately book in again when i'm next in Edinburgh. High recommended.

This was my first visit to ‘The Basement’ and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the staff were welcoming and friendly. I am glad that I made a reservation, the restaurant filled up quite quickly. I will be back for sure

Was gutted there was no birria available as it’s my favourite dish from the Basement, but instead I had fish tacos which were great and carne asada! Service great as usual! Hopefully next time I go birria is available!
