The Barrymore - Inside Royal Resort Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
I’ve been here twice now on trips to Las Vegas and the Barrymore never disappoints. Atmosphere is great, lots of classic vintage Vegas style, food is superb, service impeccable, and the wine selection is very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant to those wanting to escape the madness of the Strip for an evening.
The only restaurant where I entertain clients when in Vegas. Off the Strip. Easy access from LVCC. Don't have to walk miles to get to resultaurant. Outdoor patio is fantastic- as are the cocktails. GREAT staff. Ambiance is Vegas Old School. Fantastic food. Love managers Kirk and Brian- they know the meaning of hospitality!
We dined at The Barrymore for my birthday, first let me say the aesthetics is what drew me in, the decor is impeccable, I love the design and the decor, the food was great and the staff was amazing and accommodating. Make sure you try the mushrooms they were phenomenal.
Last Friday must have been an off night. The restaurant and bar are super cool and have a great vibe...that's where our experience ended however. For the prices they are commanding, our expectations were much higher. While the Foie Gras appetizer was good as were the Brussels Sprouts. Our bone-in rib-eye was tasteless and well undercooked and the service was on the low side of average.
There are simply too many other great restaurants in Las Vegas to get a great steak dinner for us to every go back.
We went to celebrate our anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better place. It was romantic, with beautiful live music, the food was delicious, our waiter was excellent very helpful and so nice. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and family.
This small, elegant restaurant is a bit off the beaten track, but don’t let that deter you. Take the SDX bus to Channel 8 Drive and you are there! It is a quiet venue and you can actually talk with your dining companions. Service is excellent, prompt, attentive, professional. Food is perfectly prepared and presented. A bread basket included several different offerings, with the lavish and pretzel roll standing out. The octopus ceviche was nicely charred and presented on a seasonal pastiche of fruits and vegetables. Steaks and pork chops were prepared to our specifications. This was not our first visit, and each time has been consistently of the best quality. Kirk, the GM, was actively involved to insure that our dining experience was first rate. The menu is managed and most offerings are traditional, but everything we have eaten here has been beautifully done. This is a reliable favorite.
The Barrymore is a beautifully crafted fine dining establishment, with an Art Deco vibe. The nostalgia of old Hollywood permeates throughout the place and makes you feel whisked back to an earlier time. We were sitting in a gorgeous booth near the back and loved the comfortable plush cushions. The service was impeccable - Luis made us want for nothing. And the food! The Lobster Mac and Cheese was to die for as was the Beef Wagyu Steak served with a truffle coated twice baked potato. My friends agreed that the steak was one of the best cuts they ever had. Despite being a bit north of the strip, it was an easy enough find with an Uber. The pricing was also a lot more affordable than other upscale choices on the strip as well. It was a great experience!
First time patron of the Barrymore, and it was a spectacular trip. I've been to all the top Vegas steakhouses and this place is just as good but at a better price. Had the dry aged bone in ribeye and my gf had the dry aged filet (blue). It was so mouthwatering and tender. The sides were on point - Brussels sprouts and mushrooms. Will definitely be back. Btw the interior decoration has a very old school classy vegas feel. Love it! Highly recommended. Staff was super attentive without being overbearing!
Everyone isn't kidding--this gem of a restaurant is hidden in a hotel that looks like a cheap motel. But the interior is charming, with only 9 tables and very cozy booths. The food is good: though our Fois Gras was a little squishy and the Brussel Sprouts were a little undercooked, the steak and seabass that were the main event were perfect. As was the pistachio creme brulee dessert. Good cocktails and great wine selection/service--and definitely more reasonably priced than the bigger steakhouses on the Strip.
Luis is one if not the very best waiter in Las Vegas and that's a huge statement in this town. Also the Manager, Sommelier , bartenders and the back up wait staff are all top shelf. Do yourself a favor and dine here. Don't let the hotel its housed in stop you from trying it. It would be a big mistake.
The place is so pretty! We went on a Sunday and they had live music. The singer was great! She sang new and old songs that fit the restaurant’s old Hollywood vibe.
The service was great. The sommelier was helpful and the server was attentive.
The food was very good! I loved my shrimp scampi and my husband enjoyed his veal. The creamed spinach my sister ordered is by far one of our favorites!!! It was not heavy and you can really taste the spinach; it tasted fresh.
For dessert we had the pistachio crême brûlée. Delicious!
The Barrymore took care of my large party on a short notice. Best table in the house and complimentary drinks when our table wasn’t quite ready because of a large party sitting before us. I know it’s because they wanted the ambience to be perfect, so I didn’t mind.
The meal was incredible from start to finish. Our server, Luis, took care of our table and we are so appreciative of him and the rest of the staff. Thank you Barrymore!
In choosing where to dine after getting married, I sure am so thankful that my husband and I decided on The Barrymore. Not only was the food exquisite, the ambiance and the staff were excellent. We were greeted with smiles and kindness and the mood stayed this way throughout our dining experience. Thank you for all of the recommendations and the smiles. It rounded off our day to make it even more memorable.
So nice to get off the strip for some old time Vegas. The service was a bit clumsy but did not get in the way of having a good time. They were very accommodating of our party size changing which was much appreciated. I would go back for a semi-quest meal again. Thank you for accommodating for my vegan meal. The bramble was delicious!
Our server had zero personality and I believe a server has a tremendous impact on a dining experience. He maybe said a total of 5 words in the entire night... Wasn't rude in any way, just barely spoke and had any kind of enthusiasm. Our table had an empty salt shaker on the table (I would imagine those tiny things would be checked prior to opening since it's an upscale restaurant). Our food took approx 20 min or so to get to the table. The food is great and I've been there twice before. Out of my 3 times, I've only had one memorable server as far as personality and simply being social. Just small things that could be adjusted to make it a better experience.
Eclectic setting that brings old Vegas to modern day. Unexpected wine list that rivals any top steak house in Vegas. The food is outstanding. Do not be scared when you pull up as the neighborhood is older but hold your judgement until after you get inside. You will be greeted with a lounge singer and intimate bar area. Then be prepared for fabulous service and food.
This restaurant is truly amazing. We stumbled upon The Barrymore when we last visited Las Vegas. I can say without a doubt this is Vegas’s best kept secret. The atmosphere is great and the food is truly phenomenal. The steak and sea bass were some of the best we’ve ever had and service was impeccable. We even cancelled our reservations at other places just so we could eat at this restaurant again. They were so thoughtful and went out of their way to make sure our anniversary dinner was amazing. When we come to Vegas again, The Barrymore will be a must.
