The Barrymore - Inside Royal Resort Las Vegas Ratings and Reviews
Great steak, no pricier than a Ruth's Chris or Morton's, but with a cooler, more authentic vibe. Only downside, they apparently didn't check-off my reservation when I checked in, since OpenTable emailed me about a missed reservation. But other than that, great place.
Food was good. Not great, but good. Liked the vibe. I mentioned it was my friend's Birthday on OPENTABLE (Which is actually was), and there was zero mention of it. Not a big deal because it was just the guys, but it would have made it fun. Service was just OK. Another note, hearing the TV in the bar when sitting in the restaurant is not good.
Always good to try something new. Eric, our server was amazing. he was attentive but not overbearing. Also extremely knowledgeable and open about the menu.
We started with a glass of wine compliments of Yelp and had an artichoke salad that was superb. Grilled artichokes with a light Verde salsa. A little small to share at $14. Had 7 pieces of Artichoke. tasted delicious.
Wife had shrimp scampi which was very good. 4 large prawns over pasta in a scampi sauce that did not overrun the meal. I had a pork chop that was excellent. sauce was a bit much but there were Brussels sprouts and wine reduced grapes that amazed.
Finished with a great deconstructed sundae that was a perfect end to the meal.
Went here for s special birthday dinner - relying on reviews (yelp, google) to guide me. When we first drove up I was a little worried since the hotel in which it is located is a bit rundown and cheesy. That said once you get inside to the dining area, it's intimate, and really nice. Service (Eric our waiter) was outstanding - very knowledgeable and engaged without being snooty or unwelcoming (we had brought our kids). Food was inventive and extremely well done. Yes it was expensive but not out of line with the value you get. Overall a great experience and memorable. Worth a visit and definitely more character than most places (even the really high end ones) on the strip.
This is a one of a kind place inside of an off the strip non-gambling hotel. At first look, you would never guess that a restaurant of this quality would be in such an odd location, but when you enter the lobby of the hotel is it well-maintained and clean. The restaurant itself is clean with modern and old-school touches. The special Mother's Day Brunch was spectacular and had a wide variety of foods to choose from. This is definitely a place that I would recommend as a unique and different place to enjoy a special meal.
The Barrymore has been on my radar for some time. For our 22nd wedding anniversary it was a wonderful opportunity to dine here.
Super plush, beautiful room. This is definitely a hidden gem in our city! It was late on a Monday so there was only one other booth occupied. The Barrymore offers industry night on Mondays, with dining at 50% off. Even without the discount the prices listed are a better value than other steakhouse places. My only quibble would be to have music that defines the space. House music seems out of sorts here.
Our server was knowledgeable and we ended up trying a couple of her suggestions. Our food was fantastic and service was excellent and non-intrusive.
We will definitely be back as this is going to be one of our places. My girlfriends will be hearing about this romantic spot very soon.
I attend the NAB trade show in Las Vegas every April and for the past three years have been booking client dinners at The Barrymore. It is a hidden gem in Vegas that is great to entertain customers at. From the hostess on the front desk to the bar staff, waiters and waitresses to Kirk the Manager we are always well received. The food is of very high quality and the seafood appetizer is a crowd pleaser both from its first appearance on the table to the last bite. The steak here is exquisite, cooked just the way you ask for it. On our most recent visit we went to The Barrymore two nights in a row and on the second night I wanted something different so I ordered the strip loin pepper crusted and it was incredible. I look forward to my next visit to Las Vegas and The Barrymore, thank-you Kirk please don't let anything change!
This was a business dinner with our Japanese guests. Excellent food, wine and service. Would definitely recommend. It was a Hollywood/New York type of steak place so small and intimate with big booth and lots of Hollywood prints, film reels, etc. Reminded me of a NY restaurant in the Theater District.
This is a very underrated restaurant. The food is over the top . The chef knows his business. The bar is the perfect place to have a "before dinner drink" Cory is a great bartender. Luis is one of the top waiters in Las Vegas. The manager and sommelier is on top if his game and knows his
product and inventory.
We dined at the Barrymore on April 15th for a birthday dinner. We came early to enjoy their social hour out on the patio and we would definitely come back for the happy hour specials and the fabulous Oysters Rockefeller. Dinner itself was a little underwhelming, I tried the Sea Bass which I found to be too rich for my taste. My husband had the Flat Iron Steak which was ordered as medium and came out quite rare and lukewarm at best. The other couple we were with were not overly enthusiastic about their entrees and the portion sizes. I didn't have an issue with the portions other than for the caesar salad. For a $15.00 side salad you expect a little more, or the price to be a little less.
We enjoyed the live music which was never obtrusive, I wasn't thrilled with the table we were given, having made a reservation over a month in advance I was disappointed that we were seated at a table in an overflow room right in the middle of the room with a view of Ross and Walgreens. Nothing like what they have pictured on their website. Also I found that they missed the mark on the little things. No fresh ground pepper, served tablespoons with dessert, didn't do a great job of clearing things from our table. Service was adequate but not terrible friendly. Lounge service was superior.
We stayed at the Mirage on this visit and we could have easily walked to this restaurant, not realizing how close it was we did use UBER and the cost was only $6.50. Walking here from the Mirage would be similar to walking to Planet Hollywood, just a different direction.
Came here to celebrate our anniversary. Service here is Top Notch!!! Beautiful décor and delicious food. The location is off the Strip, but an easy Uber ride. The restaurant is dark, with limited seating - so definitely make a reservation! I had the Filet med/rare, and husband had the NY med - both were perfectly done (a bit charred on the outside, but nothing overdone). I had the Creamed Corn & Lobster side - not really outstanding, kind of plain. Husband had the Baked Potato, which he enjoyed. The GM was really on top of it - he stopped by our table to check on us a lot, take some of our plates and even put in our dessert order. The server (jonathan) was polite and the bus boy was really on it! We were very impressed and pleased with our experience here! The GM even started our meal off with a couple glasses of complimentary champagne, to toast to our anniversary! Will definitely visit again when we're back in Vegas.
