Don’t let the outside fool you. This is a very elegant place. As many have said, a hidden gem.
The food is excellent. The quality of the beef is top notch. Well prepared. The grilled octopus also excellent. Great wine list. Very caring staff. A bit understaffed so took a bit of time. The manager/sommelier came out and apologized and offered a free glass of wine.
I would go back again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend.
Always great food and service. We go here every visit to Vegas. Can actually carry on a conversation with your date as it is not the normal Mega Restaurant that Vegas has too many of.
We were there unfashionably early, so there were few patrons, but the staff couldn’t have been welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has an old supper club feel (think Rat Pack). The food was great.
Loved it. 👍🏻👍🏻
Wonderful. Best meal we’ve had since we’ve been here, service was excellent, highly recommended for a quieter experience in Vegas
Was fantastic from service to food
Food & service were superb. Steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. Duck salad & crab cake were excellent. Largest wine list we have ever seen. Desserts were limited & somewhat strange.
i loved the place. it was so beautiful and romantic. Food was excellent. Service was amazing. all around fantastic place for a special occasion
Excellent all around and such a pleasant experience compared to the hustle and bustle of finer strip hotels. Will be back. Wonderful.
This place was probably great 20 years ago. I should have googled the hotel the restaurant was located in. It is roughly half closed down and and in need of upgrades. The server was amazing!!!!! I hope she lands somewhere that deserves her!
Best hidden gem in Vegas!
The place was good I made a mistake in not refusing my steak after I smelled a odor we both got sick that night
Awesome decor and environment. Service was spot on and what you expect. Great menu and even better wine list. Definitely will be back.
Birthday dinner in Vegas. Off the strip. Old school with an intimate atmosphere, attentive servers and outstanding food. Not cheap but certainly more reasonable than most of the places on the Strip. We loved being away from the huge noisy restaurants. Someone described this as a “Hidden Gem” and we agree.
The very poor service ruined what might have been a decent meal
The steak was cooked to perfection. Great list of cocktails.
Food was amazing. Lobster Mac and cheese was very delicious.
I made a note to say that we were dining to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and The Barrymore staff set us with a nice booth to ourselves and surprise cake and candle at the end. In between the the staff, service, food and space were all fantastic and a great value.
I forget how great the Barrymore is until I go again. We have a small group of female hospitality professionals that do a dinner out every month to unwind and catch up and this month we selected Barrymore. Some had been and some had not but not one person was disappointed. The lobster Mac and cheese was phenomenal as were the fillets and all sides.
The services was also never good. Attentive but not overbearing. I will definitely be back.
It was our first 'date night' in months, and our first trip to Vegas together. The Barrymore stood out when we looked for somewhere online. It's a hidden gem! When the car first pulled up to the hotel we were a little surprised, then nothing but awe after we walked inside! The service was great and the food was INCREDIBLE! This was one of the best meals we've ever had. The chicken and steak were so well prepared, the sides were delicious, and we enjoyed the overall experience. It really was a special evening and the next time we're in Vegas we'll be coming back!
Very mid Century Modern, loved the live music. The food was fantastic.
The Barrymore is a step into the past with a darker romantic setting. The service was very good as well as the food. We used the Travelzoo special which we would recommend.
The steaks were good, the chicken was not...it was dry with no taste. The location was somewhat undesirable.
The place was empty, the server was standoffish and the food was inedible
I have already recommended to coworkers.
Definitely will go back!!!!!
A hidden gem! Do yourself a favor and go. One of the best meals I have ever had. Small, quiet room, excellent service from everyone (Hostess to Wait Staff to Manager---we met them all). My wife said that her Filet was the best she has EVER had.
This might be our new special occasion "go to" place.
The food was very good and tasty. Musicians that were playing were very good as well.
The Barrymore was just what we hoped it would be...great food, ambiance and wonderful service...We highly recommend!!! A must go to experience.
We loved the ambiance!!!! Staff was very attentive and helpful with suggestions.
All the steaks were cooked perfectly and to order.
Couldn't have had a better experience for my daughter's 21st birthday dinner.
Best kept secret in Vegas!!
Do yourself a favor and treat you and your guests to an excellent cozy dining experience.
The atmosphere, service, and the food were all fantastic!
I will definitely go back.
I hate to give a negative review when the services was so good. However, both my steak and my husbands was under cooked. They took my steak back 3 times and still was raw on the 4th time I told them to just forget it. I wasn't charged but then I had no steak to eat. I don't think I will be back but you never know. I do like to give people another chance. Great service and nice atmosphere. Also, easy to park and get in the place unlike the big casino steakhouses.
The manager Brian should not be working in the service industry.
His horrible attitude ruined our dining experience
This is by far the best value for a steak in Vegas.
The ambiance is really amazing, the waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, the wine/champagne and the history of the restaurant (which is actually really interesting).
The food was not overly expensive and was perfectly done and presented. Was really a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for something special. It’s a hidden gem. Don’t be put off by the parking lot, park at the hotel.
We arrived a bit early and were graciously taken over to a back dining room with beautiful decor and a staff of extremely lovely servers; our particular server was Stephen and he was wonderful. We each ordered cocktails, a Manhattan style “Barrymore” and “not your mother’s fuzzy navel”- both of which were delicious. Every dish was prepared and presented beautifully; and tasted even more passed our expectations. We split a Caesar salad and smoked bacon appetizer, and enjoyed “the Gaucho” skirt steak and Roasted chicken entrees before completely filling up and regretfully declining dessert. We were however given a complimentary, beautiful Japanese Cheesecake dessert with blueberry lavender sorbet- and it was off the charts. Next time we come to Vegas we will certainly be back here.
A hidden gem. Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere, romantic and elegant.
Great food and outstanding service- the staff is top notch.
We had reservations here on our anniversary. Restaurant is situated in old hotel off the strip. Restaurant is decorated like old Vegas with movie reels lining the ceiling. Was seated immediate upon arrival. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. We had the chopped salad which was probably best salad we had this trip. My husband and I both ordered steach which were cooked perfectly. I had baked potato which was huge.
For dessert we had the banana split which the restaurant sent as an anniversary gift. Was very delicious. Extensive wine list. Would highly recommend eating here especially if you wanted to eat off the strip.
Entire staff were friendly .
Kept waiting for the Rat Pack to walk through the door. Great food and service made the meal perfect. Our party of 6 started with oysters Rockefeller, crab cake, and lobster mac and cheese. All were very good with the crab cake standing out. Steaks for entrees. I had the bone-in ribeye which was particularly good. My dining companions had filets topped with crab Oscar. We also ordered the available sauces. The consensus was the meat was delicious and well cooked. Great sides really complimented the meal: cauliflower au gratin, cream corn, Brussel sprouts, and Parmesan rissoto. All very good but the cauliflower was stupid good. Only negative was I let myself get talked out of the wine I initially chose for another similarly priced bottle. Unfortunately it was just ok. Bottom line...I would go back tonight if I lived in Vegas.
Location/hotel was a surprise...but holy cow the food!!!! Service was beyond expectations too. Thank you. I really hope to see you somewhere nicer on exterior. Or royal picks back up to meet you at higher level. Cheers
A hidden gem of Old Vegas!
