Food was Ok. Menu seemed limited. Chairs were very uncomfortable.
Dustin was just wonderful. The coconut curry seafood was memorable.
Excellent. Restaurant was not busy so our courses came very quickly, almost rushed. Every other aspect was spot on.
Excellent food & beverages. We were well taken care of.
Went for their Tiki hour and had outstanding appetizers for reduced rate! Drinks were great also but the happy hour only included one reduced price drink- a champagne- that was my only disappointment- our wait staff was outstanding especially Luke- overall great experience
I had the Farmers Tomato Salad- so good!
Our waiter was amazing! All the items he recommended were just perfect!!
The foods are really good. We made the good choice.
Awesome evening at the newly remodeled Banyon Tree.
Just the best cuisine on the island
The chicken dish from the dinner menu was so salty. The seafood stew was a watery curry. So disappointing.
Food- We were extremely disappointed with the taste and quality. All of our dishes were greasy, heavily sauced, and flavorless. The produce was old and gross.
Ambiance- The music was extremely loud and upbeat, making for less of a relaxing experience.
Service- The hostess who greeted us was lovely and friendly. Our server was OK but seemed to lack the ability to properly explain the dishes.
Overall- There are much better restaurants on the island. Choose another place to spend your time and money.
Loved freshness and flavors of everything we ordered.
Fantastic place. Had the MahiMahi dinner with coconut sauce. Fantastic!
The dessert was beautiful too pretty to look at !! Shaved ice, exotic sorbets! Coconut mochi with Jaapanese tea/sauce
Fabulous dining experience. Epic and innovative dishes and superb service. Miyako was our server. We shall be back - literally, we booked another dinner while we’re staying at The Ritz-Carlton.
Celebrated our anniversary. Very sweet. Rose petals on table. Happy anniversary on dessert. Very nice staff. Wonderful food presentations.
great location, at the Ritz Carlton. Book prior to Sunset for best ambiance. It can get a bit windy there as well!
We had great service and food was excellent
Food was decent. Filet was average, but appetizers were good. Great drinks. Amazing ambiance. Terrible service by a waiter who was attentive to the tables next to us, but virtually ignored my wife and I (we suspect because we’re in our late 20s). Other restaurant were very friendly though, so we may have just gotten unlucky. We tipped accordingly.
We Celebrated our 10 year Anniversary here, from the moment we walked in and were greeted with Leis and a heart felt “Happy Anniversary” to the roses on the table, the delicious pupus, Glasses of Moët Chandon, an excellent Seafood Tower, the Fire Show and the grand finale: Pele Goddess of Fire Dessert: “a Smokey Fresh fruit and Sorbet display” that was visually amazing and delicious.
Our server Laura was friendly, knowledgeable, gracious and attentive. The Manager Art ensured we were happy by coming over at the end of our meal. My husband and I come to Maui every year for our Anniversary we have eaten at Merrimen’s, Mamas, Sorrento’s, Pacific’O, Frida’s, Cane and Canoe, Lahaina Grill, Nicks Fish House and HuMU, to name a few, The Banyan Tree knocked it out of the park tonight, THANK You, we’ll be back.
Fantastic food. Gorgeous view. Excellent service.
What a lovely place to gather with friends to enjoy high quality food, drinks, and most importantly—service. Go for the daily happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and enjoy higher end champagne and amazing apps for less.
Our experience at The Banyon Tree was excellent. We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and they had prepared a fantastic window seat with a view of the fire dancing performance that happens each evening just outside the restaurant. The table was adorned with rose petals and those extra touches were very much appreciated. Our server was the perfect mix of attentive and respective of our personal space. The Hawaiian Sweet Bread alone was worth showing up for and each dish after was excellent. The Mahi Mahi was just a touch overcooked for me personally but still very good. We had a little trouble finding our way through the hotel to the restaurant but nothing too bad. Overall a great evening.
Great experience. Only complaint was that our main course was served just 5 minutes after getting our appetizer. Love the new menu and renovation.
Food was exceptional for a hotel restaurant.
Zoe was great!
On Wednesday they have wine at half price. They have a happy hour from 5-6 with pupus being 1/2 price.
Put those together and you have a heck of a deal. The lobster spring rolls were wonderful and the salad was one of the best I've ever had. The berry crumble was yummy. We'll be heading back for happy hour.
Luke was a friendly server.
Food really good with excellent service ... quantity for the amount paid really not adequate
Food was delicious and service was great.
My wife & I dined at The Banyan Tree Restaurant. It was the first time we dined there. We were very impressed with the exceptional service that we received. Arturo warmly greeted us upon entering and throughout our diner checked to ensure that we were satisfied with our meal and service. Our appetizers, entrees and deserts were perfectly prepared and truly delicious. The Pinot Noir wine selection recommended to us was outstanding. Nick, our server was extremely gracious to us as well as efficient & knowledgeable. We felt welcomed as guests throughout our entire meal and highly recommend The Banyan Tree. We will definitely return.
As usual, excellent service from Joel Andres and Miako.
It's our first time back since the renovation and new chef/new menu, so we we weren't sure what to expect. We started with a bottle of 2016 Raeburn Pinot Noir which was perfect for all the dishes we slected. The octopus salad was colorful, fresh and surprisingly delicious with lime-flavored poi. I can't say the same for the shrimp dumplings. Our entrees (mahi-mahi with coconut based sauce and flat iron steak with roasted peppers, spicy chimichurri and other vegetables) were also delectable and offered some unexpectedly unique flavors. The pot de creme dessert was also a delightful surprise with some crunchy nibs over rich caramel and dark chocolate mousse.
All in all, it was a very pleasant and relaxed dining experience.
Simply the best. Food, Service, and the views are spectacular!
Beautiful place, Great food...
Amazing food, quality and freshness! Service was kind but very slow, too slow and not acceptable for a Ritz Carlton restaurant. The overall experience was good but the service would need to be improved.
Unbelievable dinner treasured memory with Laura
We were celebrating our anniversary and they made it very nice. Flowers and rose petals. Service was wonderful
Ritz Carlton is usually impeccable with service, and while the valet and lobby staff were over that top in friendliness and attention, it stopped at the this restaurant. Maybe it was more crowded than they were expecting.
We arrived to a little chaos and nobody at the host stand. We waited a bit and finally flagged a waiter down who ended up seating us. We made reservations 4 months in advance and ended up sitting by the pool behind a pillar. Didn't catch the fire show unless we stood up and walked around. Ok, not the end of the world.
Waiter was friendly and personable - forgot an appetizer, but the food was delicious. Pancit never tasted so good. Never got our water refilled but asked the bartender for assistance. All in all it was okay - but not worth the price point.
Food was excellent and so is the service. They also have a fire show around 7:30 that was a very nice way to cap off the evening.
Excellent service and great food. Appreciated the slower pace of the meal and saw a fire dancer while eating. It was a memorable dinner.
This was our first time eating at this restaurant. They have recently remodeled and it is beautiful inside. My husband ordered the special and I ordered the mahi mahi. We both tremendously enjoyed our meal. Our server told us they have a new chef and the dishes have an asian flair which we love. That is mostly evident by the sauces and vegetables that accompany the main entree. Then there is the view. Can’t wait to go again.
Fantastic service & delicious food
Food was very flavorful and unique. Service was awesome.
