Ya Gotta have Faith" – give them a little guidance and let them run with it – worth it. Staff was attentive and had great recommendations! Looking forward to getting back.

Ambiance is fun and there are a ton of options on the menu. The drinks were delicious. Our server was inattentive though and for a speakeasy, the music was louder than expected.

Oyster shooters- no beuno. Fritters- yummy! Crab cakes- fishy tasting. Nachos- yum!! Chicken fingers- very good.

Service was great when we arrived, but then we were forgotten. Ordered decaf coffee at the end of the meal and it never came.

Great space and ambience though!

This place was very cute and seemed very promising. Unfortunately both of my drinks (alcoholic and not) were not good and I didn't end up drinking them. The chicken wings were rubbery, and most of the food was not great. The curried cauliflower was the only saving grace but unfortunately it could not make up for the rest of the meal.

Love the ambiance! Great overall experience. Excellent service. The fried pickles were awesome! The Backdoor Manhattan was very tasty. The Woodchuck cider was good. The Truffle Burger with bacon was most excellent. The Backdoor burger was delicious. Finally, the rum and coke was also very tasty. Would have liked it much better if we weren't freezing from the a.c. exhaust above us. Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing evening here!! The food was awesome, we had a booth for the evening (that he even saved for us while we went for a walk after checking in for our reservation), and the drinks were absolutely delicious! We asked him to make something with bourbon and grapefruit, and it was everything we could've hoped for and more. The bartender was also super friendly. We would definitely go back!!

We really liked the ambiance of the place. It was our first time eating here but I think we'll definitely give it another chance. The BBQ brisket was nicely flavored (tho the Texas toast needed to be more toasted). We liked the curried cauliflower as well.

Tasty fare on the happy hour menu, and enjoyed the hard cider they have. As it's 21 and up only (didn't know this before arriving, but not an issue for us), couldn't take the family. I especially commend them on their variety of small bites. Only thing they could improve: why 3 falafels on the falafel bite plate? There should be 4, especially for sharing (1 1/2 is awkward).

So this is basically a neighborhood bar that has placed a tremendous amount of emphasis on the quality of their cocktails and ZERO effort on their food. Went in and ordered a couple of drinks which were VERY good. Then the food came. Was told the oysters come already shucked and they get them fresh every "couple days". That should have been first clue that that may mean every 4 or 5 days. Mine were edible but NOT fresh. Then came chicken wings....overcooked and TOUGH! Literally could not eat one because I couldn't get my teeth through it. I believe these were probably in the deep freezer too long and should have been thrown out. Finally the nachos.....Served cold and with....wait for it.....concession stand cheese sauce. Told them they were cold and they were going to take them back and make another order. I told them not to bother because we weren't interested anymore. They DID take it off the final bill as should be expected. This place can be FANTASTIC with a complete redo of the bar menu.

This was our second visit here. The cocktails are awesome. Not your basic Gin and tonic type drinks. The bartender will make you whatever you want. But, try some of their handcrafted drinks. Food is good. We had fries with aioli, blackened broccoli, and tacos. Everything was good. The broccoli was a little over cooked, which can happen when you blacken them under a broiler. Overall...we love this place. We will be back. Enjoy !!

Made reservation purely off past OpenTable reviews. The place is somewhat eclectic. Good ambiance for a date. Drinks are top notch. Food was great. We had the steak sandwich and blackened broccoli. Did not get to experience the Happy Hour menu. It looked good as well. My wife and I will be back.

This place totally blew us away. Great ambiance, great food, extensive cocktail and mock-tail menu executed by a true, creative, and knowledgeable professional. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The 80's music was well selected to fit the shabby-chic feel of the place. We did not know what to expect when we booked and walked in, but from the moment we got there, everything was exceptional. We would go back again in a heartbeat if it were not clear across the country.

The Backdoor is quiet and offers wonderful drinks for a great price. They also have delicious french fries, which my friends and I find very important. :) The service was great and not to crowded.

Backdoor had a great feel to it, exactly what you expect of a bar that you have to enter through a seemingly secret back door in a parking lot. Service was excellent, friendly and quick wait staff. The Drink menu was exhaustive, if you were in the mood for a specific cocktail, they will have it there. Food was good. Would say drinks are on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for, a nice stiff drink. Would definitely suggest this as a meet up spot for a small group looking to sit and socialize over some good drinks.

We came to the Backdoor the day before Valentine's Day and it was relatively quiet. The drinks were wonderful, but there was only 1 server on the floor so service was a little slow. The only real disappointment was getting sat close to the front door with a cold draft when the restaurant was relatively empty; I think the hostess was new. We just drank more to stay warm.

I'm not sure why the Backdoor experience wasn't better than it was. I really like the murals around all the walls, the idea is good, and there were different elements that were good, just somehow it didn't click. They call it a speakeasy atmosphere, and while I see elements of that theme, it was missing some things like good music and a level of coziness. I think part of the issue is that it has very high ceilings and is essentially a large rectangle that they've tried to break up with different things. They have one corner set off with a semi-circle of long velvet floor-to-ceiling drapes with different wall decorations (framed mirrors). Throughout the rest of the space there are hanging chandeliers at various heights, again trying to make the space more inviting.
They did have an extensive list of creative cocktails and I really liked the one I tried - very unusual.
The food was passable but not at the 'good' bar that we've gotten used to in so many restaurants in Seattle.
Service was also a little slow, and they're probably losing some revenue from that.

We needed a place for old friends to meet up in a central location. We found the Backdoor on Yelp and were pleasantly surprised. It's cool how you walk in and the entire bar/restaurant is sunk down so you can see everything - nice to scope it out before you actually go into the place.
Great beer and wine selection and amazing small plates. The fries are to die for - we even got a second order. The green beans and ahi were quite nice as well.
Our bartender (can't remember her name) was amazing and attentive even though we were sitting in the restaurant.
Definitely want to go back.

The Backdoor is Beautiful! It's intimate and decorated in a lovely, romantic fashion. The food selection is varied and it's creative and very well priced. The cocktails are amazing! Lots of creativity there too. Service was perfection. Thanks!

I went here to celebrate my birthday with some friends. Food and drinks were good and service was great. Such a cool ambience, speakeasy feel, complete with a not so weeping angel statue overlooking the bar. If you are looking for a cool place to celebrate a special occasion or just hang out with friends, this is the place!

We had an excellent experience at the Back Door. Our servers were efficient and friendly. The appetizers were cheap and delicious. We had delicious entrees. What made this place special were the inventive drinks! So interesting and so good. We were with a group of 6 and had a great table and a lot of fun.

The decor on the walls sre are really nice and it's got a good vibe but the food was really not good especially the calamari. I felt like the calamari was really old. And I really don't understand who picked the tables because they are very strange --kind of like you're at a Denny's. The ceilings are high, the bar was good and the service was very good. But it was very interesting because I don't really know how to describe it --like I said it was certainly part bar, part Denny's.

We tried this place out of the blue and were very statisfied! The service was poor because there were understaffed. But despite being busy our server maintained a great attitude! The spicy shirmp were fantastic but better yet were the fries!! I would go back every day just for the fries! My friend had the burger and it was a great value and yummy. The drinks are a little spendy but the food and exciting ambiance is worth it.

What a disappointment. The lights were on bright as a classroom, it smelled awful and the food menu (besides being a soiled piece of printer paper that had seen better days) was pathetic. In fact we braved the rain and long Saturday night wait times elsewhere just to NOT eat there. I was so looking forward to what I heard was a charming speakeasy only to find a tired, unappealing bar behind a bagel shop!
