The Back Room Steakhouse features aged Black Angus steaks including our boneless Rib eye, Porterhouse, New York Strip, and our Center Cut Filet. We also prepare fresh seafood dishes like our Chilean Sea bass and North Atlantic Salmon. Sunday we feature our Prime Rib Dinner. All entrees' include a choice of two of our fresh made sides. Spectacular dining in an unpretentious environment. Locally owned and operated with an emphasis on personal service.

We recommend this restaurant because it is the only sit down restaurant in Apopka. All the others are fast food with chairs. Food is cooked well, served well but nothing is great. Wine by the glass is overpriced for a short pour. Average value if you don’t want to drive to WP or College Park. Just glad we have one sit down restaurant.

I love this place. Perfect for a dinner with a special someone. Quiet, comfortable, great service, good wine, delicious food. A bit pricey but a value.

Have been here and purchased meals both take out and in house dining. They never got the takeout wrong. Portions are small for what you pay for, although steak is cooked correctly 100% of the time. Chef seems to use a bit too much salt, except on the steaks. Crab cake I rec'd was very salty, as was some risotto. Portions are too small for what you get overall and I don't generally eat that much. Open Table reservation system does not allow you to get more specific, for example, in a romantic setting, to request intimate tables/booths. We enjoyed our 33rd wedding anniversary, but so did the 4-person table right next to us. No privacy, and was VERY LOUD! Restaurant needs to invest in acoustic tiles for ceiling and walls, especially when busy on Friday and Saturday evenings.

My husband and I went to this restaurant to have our Christmas eve meal. The food was outstanding. I will admit I was somewhat skeptical about going to a "steak house" located in a strip mall atmosphere. We were very pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. The ambience is old school steak house - nothing I would call fancy but a nice relaxed atmosphere, great for enjoying a meal with friends or a special occasion. We will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend! If you haven't made it to this local gem, you should.

One out of four steaks has several streaks of gristle running through it. This is happening more and more since the restaurant was enlarged...used to never have a steak with a bad spot in it. But the proprietor discounted the meal 50% that had the problem steak. Overall, I'd still recommend the BackRoom because when the steaks are good, they are VERY good. And if you get a bad one, tell the server immediately and they will make another for you.

Back Room is always my "go to" place for a good steak. I've never had a bad meal here. My husband is vegetarian and they are so willing to accommodate his food requests.
Atmosphere is great for a romantic dinner.

This was our second visit. The food was awesome, wine selection is good. This past visit, for some reason, took us over an hour to get our food. There seemed to be plenty of staff for the amount of customers. I was just getting ready to say something, when our food came. It wasn’t like this on our first visit, so maybe it was just an off night. We will go back though.

We have dined here before and we always enjoy it however the remodel is too bright with overhead lighting. My husband and I feel if they could be dimmed the ambiance would be better. We also felt for this upscale dining and price that table clothes would change the look and ambiance as well. Food is great and will return
