   Every time we come to Edinburgh, we go to the Auld Hundred to eat Haggis. The staff is super nice, the dishes are great. Try some whisky, or anything else, the Auld Hundred is wonderful

   Our lunch out was lovely. The service was perfect and the food outstanding! You could tell it was cooked fresh for everyone visiting the restaurant. We simply enjoyed the ambience to the lovely waiters and waitresses. Very efficient, in all aspects. Our only downside was only one toilet for ladies and baby’s changing. Best to book for any occasion

   The Balmoral Chicken was delicious and a great way to try a bit of haggis for the first time. The cheesecake was superb! The dining area was very busy so booking ahead is recommended. The staff were friendly and attentive. We all enjoyed our meal.

   We got seated menus given then that was it. Waited awhile for someone to come and when they did he started to tell us about the menu, when we had sat for about 10 mins already looking at it. We ordered the beef... £19.95 and wen it came absolutely tasteless. For that price tour would want it all fresh not just thrown in a pan to de frost. While earing our lunch the mangers (I'm assuming) and the staff were being asked to work and cover people's shifts this was not done in a quite room out of the way but behind us and not quietly at all. An office for conversations like that is more suitable. Also it was like how many tables can you cram in one little room upstairs so it was quite loud. I think this pub should stick to drinks only and ditch the food. Such a disappointing visit 🥺

   Hi Nicola I am very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing visit. Sadly I do not believe we were made aware at the time that you were not enjoying the roast or we would've done our best to fix it, or swap it for something else, as the roast is usually one of our most popular dishes. I am also very sorry that you were able to hear staff discussing shifts, sadly we do not have any private staff areas at all away from customers, we utilise all of our space for customers as we get so busy, which may be why you felt that our 13 tables were a little close together.    Fish and chips were great. Steak pie was good but crust would have been better if they had stuck to the classic.

   Booked here on rating from trip advisor . Great food , lovely choice & reasonably priced . Would definitely recommend but you must book to avoid disappointment

    The staff were really great and friendly. Food was lovely and we didn't have to wait long at all, good prices too. My only complaint was that I didn't feel comfortable being there with my children due to other diners around us. One table was very loud with very bad language and another table of older men spent the whole time staring at my teenage daughter making her feel uncomfortable. Overall was great food and staff.
