We just wish we didn't live an hour away!! You can't beat the Ashby Inn for a relaxing brunch. From the Amuse Bouche to the dessert and coffee, the food was spectacular. The flaky and soft biscuits with butter and berry compote set us up for the fantastic food to come. The corn soup, served cold was corn sweet and delicious. The Chesapeake oysters were well prepared, topped with a pico de gallo that exploded in freshness and flavor. The watermelon/arugula salad was topped with popping balsamic vinaigrette balls. And the meaty crab cake Benedict with perfectly poached eggs and the softest fried potatoes was a stunner. I'll attach a photo of it, half eaten (sorry). I wish we had taken more photos. The only other photo I have is of the tres leches tiramisu. I'll add it. Steven's (sp?) magnificently curated wine list was tasty to walk through as well as to drink from!! And his service as well as that of others was impeccable. They responded as needed but gave us room and time to relax and enjoy the gorgeous afternoon. We brunched outside on the covered patio on a splendid Saturday afternoon. My only regret is not being able to do it more often.

Had a wonderful Sunday Brunch. Service great,as always. And the food superb. As a special treat, the chef had just baked fresh biscuits, which Steven placed on our table. The salmon appetizer was perfect. I had the Crab Eggs Benedict and my wife the steak with poached eggs. Fabulous cubed fried potatoes. Toped off with Creme Brûlée. Perfect Sunday brunch at Ashby Inn. If warmer, would have sat outside. Well, will do that next. Yum.
