Located on the corner of N. Tryon & 6th Streets at the heart of Uptown Charlotte’s cultural district, it’s only fitting that the restaurant features regional art curated in collaboration with Sozo Gallery.
Open seven days a week and serving the longest weekend brunch in Charlotte.
This place is okay. We saw it recommended on a few lists and excitedly, thought we'd check it out. After eating at the establishment for brunch, we would not go back. Service was great, food is just meh.
I decided to have a brunch date with my husband and this place was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Brunch was great and you can tell the wait staff there was very attentive and caring! Food could have been a tad better, but overall left quite full and happy. Definitely get the sticky biscuits!
Great food, wonderful service.
Food was superb. Wish the brunch menu had more choices though.
Overpriced attempt at southern modern food. Nice stage and location.
This restaurant had wonderful reviews so we thought it would be a beautiful spot to have dinner with our family visiting. It’s a hotel restaurant. We made that mistake.
The interior needs to be elevated. The menu was limited, a majority of us ordered the same dish which never happens. I don’t see my husband and I going back.
Great all around!! Look forward to coming back. Thank you!
Food superb! Recommend making the watermelon and cuke salad a regular on your summer menu. Service was not as attentive as on a previous visit (just last year).
Very small but quaint hotel restaurant! You will not e disappointed. The menu is small but well done!
Interesting menu, friendly service, great location.
Nice, slow paced restaurant in the uptown Charlotte area. Casual but with the feel of a finer dining room. Older building, nice table setting. We ordered the special (grouper) delicious...peach salad with greens (would have preferred mixed greens to arugula) but very nicely prepared and the delicious cast iron biscuits. Dined before a show and got in and out in an hour and a half. Would recommend.
Bad service. Order wrong and sat waiting for refills and extras. The app came finally,....after the meal. Then manager gave us one sweet tea free. Thanks for the tea and for that $2!
As always, The Asbury served fantastic food at great value. Truly, one of the top restaurants in Charlotte. Local food, creatively prepared- not trendy. Just GREAT food. The servers and staff are professional and not stuffy. Our go to for a great meal and great fun.
The deviled eggs are amazing. So creamy and light. Got to get them
I love the way Asbury prepares the fruit side item -- bite-sized pieces instead of gorilla-sized.
I've been here a couple times before and the food has never disappointed! Highly recommend their Biscuits and Gravy. This time, our service was a little slow, and the ticket got lost in the kitchen so our food didn't come out for a while. The manager came over and told us what happened though, and he was very apologetic and even discounted our meal! Will definitely be back for Brunch again!
Really enjoyed lunch at The Asbury! The fried green tomato and cucumber salad was exceptional, and the deviled egg appetizer was amazing (I could've eaten an entire plateful of just those eggs). Will definitely go back!
My family and I came for Father's Day brunch. My daughter ordered the omelette, and asked that to leave out the mushrooms. Your waitress responded that the "chef gets upset when we ask to make changes" to the menu items. That certainly was the most unusual response we had ever heard. In general, the food was very average, at best. The macaroni and cheese was tasty. When ordering dessert, the waitress said you were out of the one we had chosen. This was our first visit to the Asbury and it was disappointing.
We had a lovely dinner at The Asbury this past Friday. One of the highlights was the duck heart app. What part of the duck isn't delicious? Service was great. Food was great. Place was a bit quiet for a Friday night though... a little surprised there were not more people considering how good it was.
Food was absolutely amazing!! Walked in and was surprised more people weren’t eating there. It was an amazing meal with unique twists on classic southern dishes.
Wonderful food! One of my favorite experiences in Charlotte. We had the fried grits and the catfish dinner and both were amazing!!!
Unique takes on Southern flavors. The chef's whim Deviled Eggs are a great choice for an appetizer and the Skillet Biscuits are not to be missed, especially if they have the bacon jam. The Fried Green Tomatoes were a great appetizer salad, with perfectly cooked fried green tomatoes served with heirloom tomatoes and cucumbers, dressed perfectly. The Fried Catfish was the among the best that I've tasted, breaded, seasoned and fried perfectly and paired with a tasty Tarragon Potato Salad. Dessert was not to be missed, with perfectly sized portions to compliment a great meal. Service was appropriately leisurely so as not to make us feel rushed.
Had a wonderful dinner with 8 other ladies to celebrate multiple birthdays. The restaurant is small, but that was perfect for our larger group. We were able to have conversations with each other! The service was exceptional. The food was delicious, with beautiful and unique presentations. Great cocktails, too! We really enjoyed our dinner. Will definitely return again.
We'll definitely go back - the small biscuit appetizer was phenomenal - we'll double-order the next time - and the entrees were well-presented, delicious and different ! We shared three desserts and left the restaurant with nothing more than a good night's sleep in mind. Priced very fair, with genrous pours of wine to boot. On our list now...
The food was delicious and the service was excellent
We were excited to eat there, we sat outside on a beautiful morning. But it took forever to get our coffee. Then when our food came didn’t have napkins or silverware or the extras items we asked for. Tired to get the server but she ran away to fast as we were talking to her. Finally had to go inside to ask for everything we needed. Because we wanted to eat while our food was hot. The biscuits we great.
Missed expectations. Food was okay. Atmosphere was just okay. Flavors not all that unique or exciting. Wanted to love it but didn’t.
Wonderful birthday meal for my husband's 50th birthday. Highly recommend!
We have not ate breakfast here but it was good. Their grits may be the best I’ve ever eaten!
Interesting eclectic menu. Mushroom salad, radish salad and beef beet soup awesome. A bit heavy on the salt though. Wonderful service.
The food was fantastic. We started with a cheese board that was wonderful. 2 hard cheeses and a semi-soft cheese from Roman’s Cheese Shop served with walnuts, pickled carrots, sweet jam, and sesame seed coated apricots and house-made crackers. My wife ordered the Fried Grits entree and I went with the braised lamb neck. Both were beautifully presented, the grits with a rainbow array of vegetables and the lamb neck with the deep purple of the beets it rested on. The grits were crisp and the broth was amazing, my wife had to restrain herself from drinking it from the plate once she was finished. The lamb neck was so tender, I barely had to chew it at all, and the beets and slaw provided some added depth to the texture of the meal offering some crunch and earthiness that was wonderful.
The service was fantastic. It’s a small place and so it’s very intimate and quiet and the staff is quick and very helpful. Our overall experience was great, we will absolutely be back.
We loved it! Great quiet dinner with excellent service.
Food and service was awesome. I would highly recommend this place.
Lovely as always. Looking forward to the new dinner menu. Loved the sticky biscuits! Wish they were a little bigger, the goat cheese icing is divine!
This small restaurant serving both the public and the patrons of the Dunhill Hotel is a gem. The food is creative, beautifully presented, uses the freshest ingredients, is well balanced in seasoning, and fortunately for me, the menu offers plant-based options that are gorgeous and delish. Highly recommended.
Food uninspired and disappointing. Decor could use an update.
Excellent mimosas & omelets du jour. Cozy atmosphere with view of bustling uptown Charlotte street.
