The Artisan at Stonebridge Inn Ratings and Reviews
I had the lamb loin which was delicious and cooked to perfection; my friend had the chicken salad which was seasoned with a delightful peach vinagrette. The manager came over to say hello because he recognized me from last summer when I stayed at the hotel. This is my definition of a fantastic place to eat or stay!! The servers were lightning fast and very down-to-earth and pleasant!! I can't wait to go back next year.
We've dined @ Artisan several times. This meal was truly sub-par with inattentive service & very slow arrival of all food courses. The appetizer (delicious "Lamb Lettuce Wraps) took fully 30 minutes, and the various entrees took similarly long to arrive & were served in scattered / poorly coordinated fashion to the four diners in our party ... by a person who was never our server. It was a very disappointing experience.
Great view of the mountain and the food was excellent. The peach and tomato burrata salad was wonderful and so was the trout. The steak was cooked perfectly and there were plenty of sauces to choose from. The menu has a nice variety of foods to choose from.
Went here as a final meal on a fantastic vacation. Sadly my food was bad. My steak was ordered medium rare. First one was past well don- cooked like shoe leather. The second was well done. I gave up. And the manager argued about it. Also they were horribly overseas end. Now they did not charge for the steak or our drinks but I was disappointed. My wife had a nice crab cake- not worth the price but it was big and fed us both after the epic steak failure.
We sat outside which wasn't the best view of the pool next door, but it was okay. Our server was fabulous, I wish I remembered her name. The food was great, I got a steak and my husband got the salmon. There was a wedding in the room next to us which was noisy, but it was fun to see them all have such a good time! Would recommend the Artisan.
I have heard good things about the restaurant but found it to be just average. Had the lamb wraps for an appetizer and they were greasy (upset my stomach). Has Salmon and it was good. The waitress was great! Staff nice and atmosphere outside was great. But, the food was just average and typical of a hotel restaurant.
We've been going to Snowmass since 1975. The Artisan has been a favorite year after year. It's clearly the best food near the Snowmass Mall. Others are good; the Artisan is special. The wine list is high end but so is the food. Try to conincide your dinner with the magic show. Worth the effort.
Unfortunately our waiter was either new or uneducated. I asked a few questions about the menu and he either didn't know (and had to go ask) or read from his notes. Followed by a question regarding the wine menu and again, didn't know. When your paying top $ for food, you'd expect the service to go hand in hand. Friendly and attentive but lack of knowledge.
The food was good, but not amazing! We started with the mussels, which was excellent! The trout was flavorful but dry. The Bison Ribeye, $49 was not worth it! It was on the bone but was a very thin cut and even looked cheap! It also lacked in flavor.
The atmoshere was nice and romantic. We did enjoy a coctail prior to dinner by the fireplace, the best part of the night.
our experience was A+
the server was extremely friendly, adept at handling a large rush, and was overly accommodating, including making blue cheese olives for my martini. they had a very reasonable children menu while we were able to enjoy fine dining and perfectly cooked and presented venison, bison chop and pork chop on the bone. even the shaved brusselsprout hash was amazing. we will definitely go back any time we are in snow mass!
Not as good as previous years. The sauce for the trout was too sweet. Also the server was so confused they brought our entree before our appetizer. Then when we were ready for our entree it took forever to get our entree. A disappointment from what we remembered !
The ambiance of the restaurant and the service were excellent. Our server was warm, knowledgable and friendly. The food, however was just good. It was nothing to write home about but it was not bad either. When on vacation, you hope to have a great meal every night, especially at these prices!
Our food was OK but not great. Of the two entries, the trout was very good but the sea bass was poor. Overall I was disappointed because we have had better food in prior visits. We will probably dine at the Artisan again because we believe our experience was the exception and not typical.
We spontaneously dined at the Artisan .. just two of us .. and we truly enjoyed our evening experience. Our waitress was Heidi, a delightful very competent young lady from Fort Worth. We really enjoyed our conversation and her counsel on food selections. We had an eclectic dinner with sea bass and tacos .. The salads were excellent. All in all a great evening dinner .. We will return soon.
My partner and I had dinner at the Artisan in Stonebridge mid July. Although it is conveniently located in Snowmass and had a pleasant ambience , we found the food to be at best average. The appetizers were just ok. I had the grilled artichoke(have had better) and he, the crab/melon salad. For dinner, I had the Cioppino. It had a tasty tomato broth but didn't have any mussels or scallops. It had several medium shrimp, five manila clams and minced up 'other' in the broth. It was not awful but did not win me over. My partner had the winning dish if you like Colorado lamb .A lamb T-bone entree, two loin chops with Indian spices. Very creative and yummy dish. Desserts were lack luster and extremely disappointing. Donuts of some kind with caramel sauce and a chocolate Bourbon parfait didn't measure up.
This has been a great restaurant in Snowmass Village for many years. Frankly, we were surprised we could get in on short notice. However, once there it became more clear. It took over an hour in a half full restaurant to get our food and the first plate came out a full 50 minutes before the next.
The service was spotty having to ask for water and no explanation of why it took so long for our food. The food arrive and it was horrible!! Greasy and tasteless! Our family paid, left and went home to cook dinner! Shame this place has gone so far and fast downhill. We will not be returning.
We actually visited Artisan twice in a week. The first time, a hood malfunctioned in the kitchen so we did not get beyond the salad course. The manager comped us our salads, which was gracious. When we returned, they noted that we had been affected by the hood incident, and our table received a free appetizer. The ambiance is very pleasant for after ski dining. The menu is varied enough to find something for everyone, and each entree comes with a different and appealing side dish. Two of us had the ruby red trout, which was excellent. The ribeye was also delicious. For appetizers, we liked the salads, though they were fairly simple, and the grilled artichoke was very good. Service was friendly and above average. I think it's the best overall in Snowmass if you want to walk from local lodging. It will be my first choice for the next visit.
