Took 40 mins to get my food even though it only took 10 for the rest of my table
Great food, great ambiance, hilarious and kind server, easy to order and bathroom was clean!
Table of screaming children this time…
The entire experience was weird in a crazy way. No wait service. Had to ask a dozen questions before getting service and food. All orders including drinks and requesting service through a phone App. Imagine that! The Hostesses ended up taking my order (thank goodness). Drinks were pre-made and blah! What can I say. Don’t see a reason to go back.
Great food, exceptional craft-brewed beer, and a solid selection of bourbon. Definitely worth a visit.
Good beers and good food
Good beer, good food. Would do again…soon!
Went for brunch and was very disappointed to find that there were only two options, a breakfast sandwich and a breakfast burrito. While I didn’t stay as neither of those options were suitable, the woman who initially greeted and sat us was very nice.
Nice atmosphere, good quality food. Pretty expensive for what you get.
Everyone was really nice but you have to “order” service ($0 charge thankfully) via the QR code. Otherwise it’s really hard to flag down a server or waiter for questions.
I understand getting back to the “norm” post pandemic, but not having anyone check back on how our food was is not good service. If you don’t want servers, that’s fine; but have a floater or manager check in.
My appetizers was burnt & over cooked, and my drink was never refilled. Price was definitely not worth the what we received. Unfortunately, this will be my one & only visit.
Great tater tots! Rest of the food is alright, menu is a little all over the place.
The Arsenal no longer exists. We booked for brunch based on the menu that had been provided online and it was not available, and hadn't been for some time. We stayed because we were hungry.
But torn fabric on booths
Could use some cleaning and maintenance
I like the digital ordering/paying from the phone, but it would’ve been nicer if all the servers were wearing masks - regardless of DC being “open”. It’s just a courtesy that shows care for the customers.
Very disappointed in lack of any service!! Tech app didn’t work correctly. They billed us before they even delivered the food & drink.
If I wanted a take out experience or no service I would have gone someplace else.
Fix the rat problem on the patio.
The fries were perfect. Beer superb. French dip just a wee bit off.
Understanding that we’re still in a pandemic and things are pretty chaotic, Bluejacket staff must be very weary of having to continuously guide confused and sometimes unhappy customers.
That said, NRG would do well to improve customer experience first by specifying everywhere that reservations are only for the interior space. An annoyed host expected us to know that, but how could we? Cute seating area names don’t help — differentiate at the reservation level that one is different from the other.
Also, we sat and waited for 30 minutes for our to-go cans. When I flagged down a member of the wait staff, I was informed (very politely) that guest are responsible for retrieving their own can orders from the front desk, even though everything else was being brought out to us. Again, how would we know that. Better signage and/or copy on the website would go a long way to smoothing out these rough edges.
The burger special of the day was very tasty. I loved the mimosa even though they did not prepare it themselves. They gives you what you need to prepare it yourself. The most awesome thing was the checkout process. Everything is done online via your phone
Service & beer is always good, but those potato skins are on point!
Nice place to grab a quick bite after the game.
Great beer but COVID led measures means little interaction with staff which is a shame because they were great with navigating the menu. Food was good but smaller portions than pre-COVID.
We are outside, and the lights were not on. I was also disappointed in the app service, as we really enjoy coming to restaurants and making connections and having discussion with a server, where we don’t need to press a button and have the interaction feel forced.
The chicken on my salad was cold, wet and without seasoning and the seemingly pickled, limp style of the onions on it also did not add much to the salad. In general, some of the menu items we felt were just trying a bit too hard- sometimes a plain Bavarian pretzel and normal tater tots are fine!! Having gone to celebrate a birthday, and designating it as such on Open Table, we were also hoping to celebrate a little more than any normal meal.
Hopefully as things return to normal, our Bluejacket experience will do the same, as we’ve had great experiences in the past.
Food was good
Good microbrews and bar food, but a bit overpriced.
Good food, good vibe, and great service. All orders are done online with qr code. Heads up, all your food will come out at once if you submit at once.
Covid has killed my once fav DC restaurant. The menu is limited. The wine list limited. Service is fine but not convenient. It’s sad what’s happened.
Aside from an issue with the table nearly catching on fire because of the sun, we had a nice time. They definitely need to get different outdoor tables. Otherwise, the food was good and the beer was great.
Great experience. Drinks, brew and menu are phenomenal!
limited seating and very spaced out because of that factor. only 3 other people in the whole dining area. Beer is still great had a couple of the current IPAs and the chicken sandwich. Everything was fine ...but as much as i hate a crowded bar of course now I sure miss the crowded bar.
Pretzels were no tasty at all. You had to pay $4 for a soda and no refills.
Not going to lie but didn’t have much expectations walking in, but the food and the atmosphere definitely blew my mind away. The service was on point too and everyone was wearing masks and taking precautions and all payments are made contactless.
We ordered a crab dip as appetizer with chips, and they also had gluten free options for my friend (provided celery). Crab dip was tasty and flavorful. I ordered the French Dip, and it was by far the best French Dip I had in a long time. Bread was super buttery and soft with hot beef slices and melted Swiss cheese and crispy AF fries. Definitely a cheat meal that worth all my calories!
I was super disappointed in this place! Took family that were in town for lunch and made a reservation. The place was empty so its ridiculous that they even take reservations! There is no Service here- literally no service! You order by QR code which is fine, but if you need napkins, questions, flatware...good luck! We started off order beers and when the waitress arrived with 2 of 3 she said the one I ordered was out. I asked about something similar and she huffed and said "I really don't know they are all the same". This is a brewery where they make beer- People who work there should know about beer! Server was incredibly rude and was so over everything- shocking as they automatically add 18% tips to your order. We decided to have our drinks and go elsewhere for lunch.
I have never written an OpenTable review before but feel like I have to after yesterday. I went to Arsenal at Bluejacket with a friend for brunch and do not recommend anyone else do the same. I asked for coffee when the server arrived at the table and he looked puzzled at my request and said "we don't have coffee" and promptly walked away. Not having coffee when open for brunch seems crazy, but his attitude was just ridiculous (as if he was saying, "how can you expect us to even have it?"). The menu only has 3 or so brunch options and the food was average at best. My friend's arrived in like 10 minutes while mine was at least 25 minutes after despite the same initial server saying he would look into it after I asked him shortly after I was told it was being delivered. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE FOR BRUNCH.
Great beer selection, very good food. A bit pricey for SE DC. It is very cumbersome to order from and pay for your food and drink from phone. The management is excellent and addressed all our questions.
Tasty beers and burgers. Place was empty due to covid. Will go back when in town.
Great COVID procedures. Really good food and drinks. We would have liked two heaters instead of one, it would have made eating outside a little easier and more comfortable.
