NY Strip was excellent. Nicely followed with Salted Caramel Pudding. A repeat fur sure!
Food was terrible the fish and chips were over cooked and fried with a greasy heavy batter. The dish was flavorless. The peanut butter dessert was a soupy sauce that came with a quarter scoop of ice cream
Hostess and waiter were good, but selection of food was limited and portions small. Not a restaurant for pre-meal soups or salads. They only had one soup (Lobster Bisque-special of the day) and the salads they did offer were large entree size with meat.
Will not be returning. It’s high priced, limited selections, and small portions.
Dinner after Shen Yun performance at the Orpheum Theatre!
Hands down, this was the best food we had the entire time we were in Phoenix. The servers were exceptional. The food was so good we went for lunch and dinner!
The food was very delicious, And the menu was very reasonably priced. Although, the service was not very good, the server seemed very busy with other tables, although I will go back.
Enjoyed our meal and the service was great! The waiter checked-in with us many times throughout the meal. The pretzels and fondue appetizer was delicious! The filet was quite good as well :) Definitely will go back!
The whole experience was excellent, we will return!
The food was outstanding. The service was less than that. Our server was over extended. Had tables in the back room on the patio and in the middle. He was not able to provide attentive service. This was not his fault and I do not blame him for the less that great service. He was very friendly, did the best he could under the extended floor plan he was working.
The food here was good and the staff was nice. They did seem a bit hurried to get us out of there, I'm not sure. We weren't aware that they didn't serve the full menu until after five so that was a bit of a bummer. But the food we did have was grea t.
Always a stop in the list when we are in town
My wife, son, & I went to Arrogant Butcher on 2/14 to enjoy dinner. They had a specific menu for Valentine's Day and stated the kitchen wasn't prepped for other food. As such, we were told we could not order a cheeseburger for our son. He's six, loves cheeseburgers, & we didn't anticipate this would be an issue. I didn't know the kitchen took extensive prepping in order to cook a cheeseburger! Also, I was unable to order the prime dip that I enjoy, as that was not available either.
I don't understand why they couldn't accommodate their "normal" menu even though it was Valentine's Day. We decided to stay anyway, not a really big deal in life! When my steak arrived I asked for some steak sauce. Well, they don't offer that either! Haha, needless to say we feel we struck out at the Arrogant Butcher. I will say their pretzel bites were very tasty, and the beer was cold! At least they have that going for them, which is nice.
Took my wife out for Valentine's, we have never been there but thinking with a name it better have good steak, Well it did. Cooked good and a seasoned just right but portions were short. The appetizer was well portioned to make up for the small entrees but I guess that's what to expect with expensive restaurants. Dessert was good but not outstanding. All in all I would go back but not for a while.
The food and service was great! The restaurant is noisy, and the small, single table we were given made our dining experience less than perfect. For the money, I was hoping for something a little more intimate and a lot less “Denny’s” diner.
This place was highly recommended. And overall, we were pleased.
Starting with the service - our server had that ability to show up when needed, but disappear when not. Very impressive.
Regarding the food - the appetizers were excellent. Creative and delicious. Our group of 6 agreed that the entrees were good. Certainly nothing was wrong with them. But they didn't leave us saying "wow, that was incredible I need to have it again."
Ambiance is really cool. Hip design, nice location.
I think I would go back, but not until I've had the chance to try a few other local joints.
Fun place. Food is actually quite good for a casual bar type atmosphere.
The appetizer came before dessert. Parking was $28 dollars. The noise was so loud that I had to shout at my date. The chicken had a ‘film’ on it. The only thing that was good was the pretzel bites.
If you are going to to go downtown Phoenix for dinner go somewhere else. The place isn’t worth the fee to park.
Friendly and attentive staff, well prepared food options, busy and energetic environment.
Food was good but portion size was quite small. Waiter was nice but couldn't describe the cocktails and wasn't much help for a dairy-intolerant member of our party. Blue Hound around the corner is better in all respects (food quantity and quality, classier ambiance, cocktails, wait staff) for about the same prices.
Our table was ready when we arrived and we were immediately seated. We conveyed to our waiter Mica that we looking for a relaxed slow paced dinner and thankfully he managed the night for us well. Service, food and cocktails were all excellent and we look forward to our next visit.
Pretzel fondue was excellent. Very noisy because the restaurant was full
My wife and I went in for the first time for an early Valentines date and comerica theater tickets after. We made a reservation and were there at 8:30. We sat on the patio and were seated shortly after a very loud and obnoxious group of 4. The server took the food order of their table before ours and we were greeted a minute or two later and ordered right away. We had an appetizer order of pretzels and fondue and 2 entres. They were out of my original order and informed me once the server found out so I had to change my order last minute to the prime rib. While waiting for our appetizer the table that ordered just before us got their entres. Shortly after that another table which was sat 10 minutes after we were already seated received their entres. Another 10 minutes and no appetizer and the other tables were already half way through eating. I informed the server of what was happening and he stated the kitchen was backed up and something about prioritizing hot vs cold aps. We finally get the appetizer and the food came out a little after that. The prime rib was not bad but not great and my wife’s burger was just ok. My water glass was never refilled and all in all it was just a mediocre dining experience that cost way too much after hearing so many good things about this place. I am a huge fan of fox restaurants but this experience we had at the arrogant butcher was enough to make me not want to give it a second chance.
First time to this Fox property. My main take away was the incredible noise level. The place is huge, and largely because of its location, is very popular. The food was good, and the service was acceptable, given the activity level. My suggestion would be to try for one of the tables outside. It would be quieter and you’d have a great view of the mass of people coming and going.
Food was wonderful. The manager sent over a lovely cheese/meat tray for our table as an appreciation for our corporate business (very nice, unexpected touch). The servers were great and the desserts were off the charts yummy.
Two guys attending a Convention
Treated like kings
It was just OK, other reviews created a higher expectation
It was a little loud for conversation but not impossible. The meal (we all had the filet mignon) was excellent. When my husband didn't care for his bourbon drink recommended by the server, it was promptly replaced no charge. My wine was perfect. I'd go back.
In town for a trade show. Great food, service and conveniently located. Would definitely one back if in town.
Solid food and great staff!
The music was a little loud; but other than that, it was excellent. It's a easy walk to Symphony Hall which we we going to that evening and the food and service were exactly what we had hoped for. The drinks were prompt, the smoked salmon appetizer was perfect for two, the crab stuffed chicken was both unique and delicious, the filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the accompanying creamed spinach could probably not have been better, and finally the caramel pudding was the perfect finish. Started at 5:15 and comfortably finished at 6:30 - for us it was, other than the music level, a perfect evening meal. We'll enthusiastically be back.
