This is one of the better places downtown. They have good food
Had great reviews - we were in town for the weekend and wanted a hot new place to try for dinner. The name is eye catching - however, as was explained, they focus on "comfort Food". Chef cheese and meat board was adequate, but nothing great or grand. Appeared to be heavy on olives and light on cheese and meat selections and quantities. The salad was great! Server recommended Prime Rib 3 times, and so I (and 2 others opted for that. Overall I was disappointed in the Prime Rib. Served on a plate that was really too small for the size. The temperature of the PR was correct - MR. However the plate on which it was served was room temp. The cut and seasoning an flavor was not something I would hang my hat on however.
Downtown to see Home Alone at the Phx Symphony this was the perfect spot for lunch before the matinee
We got excellent service. The food was very good, as usual.
It was our first time dining there and we really enjoyed. We had reservations and were sat immediately at our table. Excellent server, fantastic cocktails and great food. Cool downtown spot.
Love the food, service, and ambiance. Little hard to hear at times, not sure if there is a way to dampen sound. Will still return!
Dinner before the symphony
Poor service. Bad attitude and below average food. I don't know how this place gets so many good reviews. The only good part of our experience was the floor manager who was extremely nice.
Our server was great, the food and drinks were too. The only thing that was not 5 star was the fact that the food took a while to arrive. Other than that we loved it and will be back!
Awesome server. Very attentive to our needs despise being busy. Highly recommend
Attended 3pm TransSiberian Orchestra concert
Service and food prep time that day was atrocious.
The Mgr agreed and compensated us accordingly.
Once the food arrived, it was very good
Although this restaurant has been noted for good service we found the same to be slow, rude and non attentive. I felt I was at a KFC. The food was magnificent, yet the lattes were served 10 minutes before dessert so they were cold when our after meal treat showed up. The peanut pie is amazing
Another good dinner with Sam Fox Restaurant Concepts. I am a big fan
We had a great experience at The Arrogant Butcher. The food was outstanding. Our waiter was great. It was a very enjoyable evening.
We will absolutely be back. Many more items on the menu we can't wait to try.
The front desk, wait staffer very nice. The food was quite good
Salad wa so so but main course was very good. Like the San Francisco ambiance but noise level is too loud and hard to have a conversation
Top shelf, quality, modern American cuisine, with some old school favorites.
One of our favorite spots in downtown Phoenix. Food and service are always exceptional!
Brought a wrong order to the table with our meals, but did comp the meal.
Extremely noisy wall echo
Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere
Great experience. It was a little loud as the restaurant was packed. Lots of business guys carrying on. Steak was perfect, sides too. Desert was also spot on.
Great food and great service... would absolutely dine there on my next visit to Phoenix
Great food always.
Food was overpriced and underserved. Much better wine bars here in the valley with more bang for your buck, they just have a good location. Small, expensive portions. Overrated.
Good food and wine. Service was a bit slow but it's centrally located with outdoor seating
Excellent food, service was great, tables close together, but food and drinks were excellent.
Great meal with colleagues - will definitely be back the next time I’m in Phoenix!
We were super excited to go for dinner at this restaurant, we arrived approximately 12 mins before our 8:30 reservation, to be greeted politely by the first host, but the second host proceeded to say, make them wait, they are early.
So we did, walk ins off the street were seated, some late reservations were seated, I asked why that was and she said its because we were to early...ok...we finally were taken to our seat that was empty from the time we arrived, only to sit for almost 18 mins til we got water and asked for our order. Nice server but seemed far to busy.
Appies came about 20 mins later, no cutlery, so a table runner got us the cutlery...after we finished they took it away , cutlery as well.
Our main meals arrived,no cutlery again, veggie lasagna, I wouldnt really recommend it, it is not at all like a lasagna I have ever seen.We requested cutlery from another table runner as our server wasnt around....overall I think the place is nice, food was food, service was a bit odd, but overall not terrible. After we have dined at a few of the sister restaurants, I feel this one could do a few things better...they hustle for sure and great team work, but alot of little things just got overlooked. I thought maybe because they were tired from the rush prior? We had a late reservation , sometimes when the end is near this happens.
I enjoyed my midday meal on a Sunday at The Arrogant Butcher. The atmosphere is pleasant and the tables are not packed so closely as to be a problem. Service was attentive but not intrusive and very efficient. I started with raw oysters which were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the jalapeno mignonette sauce which I found relatively unique. The cocktail sauce was perfectly satisfactory although undistinguished. My prime rib (medium) was a bit on the tough side although flavorful. The edge that was a little better done was delicious. The side dish, roasted Brussels sprouts with bacon, was excellent. I had the sticky toffee for dessert, which was about the right size and at an appropriate level of gooeyness (it was not firm, but it did not make my teeth stick together either). One somewhat unusual feature is that it does not open for midday until noon, while most of the other restaurants in the area opened at 11 or 1130. It was a bit on the pricey side although not excessively so, and I thought provided reasonable value for the money. I would eat there again when in the area next time, and I recommended it to some colleagues looking for a dinner venue the next day.
It was a very busy night so service was a little slow going. The food was delicious; the server was nice but was covering too many tables.
I went for lunch and totally enjoyed being able to sit outside (shaded from the sun) for a lunch. The server was excellent, but the hostess was not. I had a reservation, but there was a huge line I had to wait through, and she was not in any hurry to help anyone or seat anyone. She strolled anywhere she went and it took forever for her to even pick up menus. I ended up being seated >15 minutes after my reservation, and I was at a business meeting so did not have unlimited time so wasting 15 minutes on line was not part of my plan. I had a very good burger with fresh toppings. The lunch menu is pretty limited.
Food was the worst it was a business meeting me and my guests order the same food but it all came out cooked and looking different I don’t recommend especially for the price.
Booked in advance of an NBA game- perfect location. Happy hour from 4-6 was well timed, and we were across the street from the Arena. Appetizers were very good- couldn’t have selected a better place
Good fish n chips. Small selection of draft beers but all good.
The food and service were fabulous as always! I love the kale and beet salad!
Have only eaten here for lunch. Limited menu, but varied options. Kitchen very slow during lunch time-we waited quite a while for two salads and a bowl of soup that had to be reheated before it was served. Otherwise, good spot, convenient for work lunches and pre-sport dinner.
Nice atmosphere! Casual feel, the food was above average. Would come again just not for a special occasion.
Had an amazing dinner at Arrogant Butcher. Our first visit and it was for my Birthday. Our server couldn't be any nicer or more attentive. We will be returning for that delicious meatball appetizer & New York steak!
