We had the most incredible dinner. The waitress suggested the cheese board and everything was delicious and very different. Our waitress was so amazing and full of energy, she recommended the jambalaya that was delicious, and the chicken stuffed With crap was fabulous. We ended with their signature desert salted caramel pudding… To die for!
Very difficult interaction with hostess who then proceeded to not check us in using our Open Table reservation.
Reservation was perfect. The food was good and service was excellent. We went after a concert and it was a great place to sit, relax, enjoy a meal and wait out the traffic.
Arrogant is the correct name for this restaurant. I made a reservation because there was a Diamondback game that afternoon. When we arrived, the hostess seemed bothered. She sat us at a table by the hostess desk which was very noisy and uncomfortable. I asked if we could move to a quiet booth. The booth area was empty (stayed empty the entire time we were there), but she sat us a table in the corner with no room. Even the people we sat by mentioned how crowd it felt. The server, Steven was top notched. It wasn't his fault that the food was over salty. We have eaten here several times and it was great food. The chef was "salt' happy this meal. With all the new restaurants popping up in downtown Phoenix, we will move our business from Arrogant Butcher.
While pricey, it is worth every penny and more.
First time to this restaurant, my wife's choice for her birthday. Great service, food and drinks. We will definitely be back!
The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced. My Wife loved her salmon. My sandwich was huge.
We came to celebrate our 16th anniversary before we went to the diamondbacks game. We originally had a reservation for 3:30 but came at 2:45 to check if we could be seated early. The hostess was very friendly and welcomed us in. Our waiter was amazing, and super friendly. Food was delicious and drinks were fantastic. They even made a custom drink for me to fit a craving. Absolutely recommend this restaurant. We will be coming back for sure!
Great food and service. Staff went out of their way to ensure my dining experience was the best possible. The pretzel fondue was excellent.
Arrogant: having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. Unfortunately, this was true - I just did not anticipate, or appreciate, the joke. It is a shame to find that a restaurant with such good reviews could be such a let-down overall.
The Arrogant Butcher was an OK place to dine with work colleagues. The menu had changed from the online one I had perused; downgraded if you will. Cocktails were good. Our server was nice but spoke in a singspeak that was hard for my old ears to understand. We had the crispy shrimp, charcuterie board, and prime rib. Nothing to complain about but nothing to dance about either.
The service was impeccable! Food presentation and flavor on point.
Nothing special food wise. Great atmosphere. We waited forever for my daughters meal....so ours got cold. But they DID take it off the bill.
Cobsustwntly great food.
Generally disappointing. We also had an arrogant waiter.
I had crab stuffed chicken breast which was excellent. Also the salted caramel pudding for dessert was scrumptious. I sampled the short rib stew which my friend ordered. It was like a French dip roast beef sandwich in a bowl. Great food!
Our server was Leandrew and he was awesome! Made great recommendations and didn't rush us at all. Wife's Diver Scallops were the best she's ever had!
Good selection of food. Sweetest waiter who had a contagious smile. Food on point. Good value and great location.
Great service and enjoyed our meal
Outstanding meal and service
It is a a place that provides value.
Excellent variety and strip steak was one of the best I have had outside of Chicago. Slight smoky and and savory sweetness in the seasoning. Loved it and would go back
One of the best meals and experiences I've ever had.
Excellent service and great food. I highly recommend it!
Great The food was excellent!!’
We love the Arrogant Butcher. It's usually almost impossible to get a dinner reservation so we were pleased to see one available on Open Table. The food was to die for. We had oysters, my fiance' had the crab stuffed chicken, and I had the filet. The oysters were wonderful, the chicken was good, but my filet was to die for! Our server Conrad was amazing. Intuitive, but not pushy. We were never in need of any item, he was on top of it. Had the tequila cucumber drink on the happy hour menu and ended up ordering 5 of them. Super refreshing, especially if you were sitting outside like we were. We will be back!
Great location food was just OK. Restaurant was busy and the waiter struggled with service. He had too many tables. Food came out from kitchen and the scallops were cold. Nice location
Overall a great Easter dinner with the family. Thanks for the great service and awesome food. I would definitely come back and recommend to my friends.
Great cocktails and lunch. Little pricey to bring the kids but we did it anyway for Easter lunch. Had a great time eating outside, great service and delightful food.
Not as good as I remember from previous visits. Fries arrived cold and soggy. They replaced them with a huge bowl of hot fries. Food was average and nothing to write home about.
Fantastic food and service. Fun atmosphere. Walked to easily from our hotel in central downtown Phoenix.
Service staff was great and very attentive . Would recommend very highly
Visiting from Anchorage, AK. It was outstanding. My husband said it was one of the best filets he’s had, ever! And I had the scallops which were to die for. Loved every bit of it. Would definitely return next time we find ourselves in downtown Phoenix!
We hosted friends in from out of town. The service start to finish was the worst I have ever experienced. We had to ask - where the drinks were, where the apps were? Where are the entrees? We allowed 2 hours for dinner and were late for the suns game due to the brutal service. When the food did arrive, the burger had no cheese and took another 10 min to get cheese which wasn’t melted No one once apologized for our bad service or for making us late to the game. I love fox reauranra because they are predictable. This fell way short and I don’t think my husband will ever go to a fox restaurant again.
Meal was good but portions on the smaller side. I had the scallops and they were very
tasty but quite greasy. Husband had fish and chips and were good. Brother had the jumbalaya and said it was really good. Our waiter was very good as well.
The server stayed away for the most part, which was inconvenient at times, but the food more than made up for it. We got the charcuterie board, the filet mignon, and the prime rib and they were all amazing. The accompaniments were very well done as well with the only possible exception being the"crispy potato" that came with the filet which appeared to be a single red potato that had been boiled, a hole poked in it, seared, and butter melted onto it... Which was bland compared to the potatoes au gratin and the creamed spinach. Overall wonderful food. We would definitely go back.
My son ordered prime rib medium and had to send it back because it was medium rare. Even when it came back the 2nd time, it was still more medium rare, than medium. We
were given free dessert, but felt
Like his dinner should have been free. The bar tender who waited on us seemed irritated with our slow ordering, so we were glad when another bar tender was there to help us.
Found this place on yelp while on a business trip. The pretzels were amazing- there were enough for 4 to share. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the service was great.
wonderful service. Menu more than adequate and very interesting
Our for, wine and drinks were excellent. Entrees, scallops, jambalaya and fish and chips were delicious. Walking distance to Orpheum, Symphony Hall and Herberger. We come here often when we are in the city
