Great roasts and burgers. Very friendly service. We were delayed arriving and did phone in to warn the pub and they were fine with us being late. Very relaxing.

The service and food were good, but we were a bit disappointed to be sat at the back of the pub, which is not really a pub, it's more of a very small restaurant. There was one other couple so it was pretty much silent in there, which wasn't ideal for a Sunday lunch. Not really the country pub atmosphere we were expecting. We would have asked to move because the front of the pub is a 'proper English pub' which is what we had hoped for when booking a country pub, but unfortunately they were full.
Enjoyable evening, excellent food and Staff friendly and extremely helpful,Finding Gluton free options . We felt the team covered all Covid Safety issues and we felt very safe.
Welcoming, friendly staff and excellent menu with a good choice to suit everyone. The scallops and hake was delicious. Will be booking a table again very soon. Thank you for offering a takeaway service during lockdown.

We went here for a Sunday lunch and we had a nice table just next to the fire. Food was amazing, I had the lamb tagine and my boyfriend had a beef roast. The lamb was so tasty, I highly recommend it.

One of our favourite places to go for Sunday lunch, especially late Autumn/Winter. Cotswold at its best atmosphere, great food, good wine list and lovely staff. Superbly located, just off Burford High Street, which has many interesting shops. What more could you wish for?

We ate outside at The Angel on Saturday. The food was delicious. There were 4 of us, we each chose different meals but everyone's was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was very good & we will be back as soon as we can!

It has been a long time since we've been to The Angel and we were not disappointed when we visited recently. We had the most delicious lunch which arrived speedily and was mouthwateringly good. Great service and a wonderful experience - we shall be back very soon!
