Perfect place for lunch break between morning and afternoon WWII museum visit. Service is quick with many health to hamburger like options. Recommend reservations.
Crab cakes and redfish were really very good. Also good selection of beers.
French fries were underdone and cool. Had to send hamburger back because not cooked medium rare as requested. Next one took 15 minutes to arrive and was overdone
Was a nice quick bite to eat in between visiting the museum. Food was good and quick. They were understaffed that day so we sat at the bar, but service was fast and bartenders were extremely friendly and observant.
Our group made a reservation in advance. Despite this, it was still difficult to be seated. Some of the meals were superb, others seemed out of place for the atmosphere of this restaurant. Our server was excellent! If you are planning a day at the museum this is a good choice if you are running short on time.
Some of food was cold. Plate hot, food not. Mac & cheese not very tasty. Was quiet. Website said they close at 7 but you can make a 6:45 reservation. Kinda confusing
Great menu and ambience, unfortunately, really terrible service the day I visited. After sitting at our table for 10 minutes, and inquiring twice about our server (which had yet to visit the table), we still didn't even have water. We left. Would still recommend because it seems some portion of proceeds go to museum, and the menu is promising, but I do hope the service improves.
We had an enjoyable and relaxing lunch. We spend the morning on "The Road to Tokyo" and lunch gave us the rest to experience "The Road to Berlin" in the afternoon. The food was traditional with a fresh twist. Very tasty!
Food came out cold. Hamburger was raw except on the very outside. Service was slow. Walk someplace else.
We chose this restaurant for after a day at the museum, celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday. The menu seemed limited, and the prices were high. The server was not very attentive, and since it was early in the evening, it wasn't busy at all. We left the restaurant wishing we had chosen somewhere else.
Food was excellent. It came cols at first but the server fixed this quickly.
Perfect for what it is. Good food on property of the WWII Museum
Good tasting food and good service. The dinner salads seemed a little small for the price.
Everything was fine, but not exceptional. Food was a bit overpriced for what it was. The tuna tartar was old and had obviously been refrigerated. The fried oysters were great. The cocktail was fine. Ambience was nice, not too loud and it was easy to have a conversation.
The kitchen was under renovation and the restaurant offered a limited menu but the food was very good and the service was excellent.
Great service! I appreciated the vegan offering of a veggie and humus wrap. My friend liked the buffet and LOVED the salad dressing.
It was great!
Salmon salad was severely lacking. Spicy Bloody Mary tasted like it had half a bottle of Tabasco in it.
Good food but the service, usually excellent, was not this time. Server was disinterested and disappeared for long periods.
This was a great restaurant to have a group dinner at. The staff was accommodating of our needs and the mixed drinks were delicious! It is worth a visit!
The service was rush, before I had finished my lunch, the waitress asked if we were ready for the check.
The worse is the food portion, my wife portion was of a child size but we paid an adult price .
We will not come back and will make sure others know.
Our experience was wonderful! We had an amazing time at the museum followed by a delicious and relaxing lunch!
The food was great, service was good, manager was awful. When we got there, our table wasn't ready. Said we did not answer phone to confirm reservations that day. We were at the WWII Museum all day. I spoke to a different manager the day before to increase the number of people in our party and was not informed that we needed to contact the restaurant the day of the reservation or it would not be honored. It only took a few minutes to set up tables for party of 15 because the restaurant was empty at 5:00pm. But he insisted that he could not set up tables for our party because we did not confirm. I would have complied with any such request but no one told me I should . We eat out often and are told in advance that we will need to confirm the day of the reservation. I suggest they inform people of this requirement in the future, especially if they talk to the person making the reservation the day before. He insisted I was wrong and the mix up was all mind. Such a rude manager. Everything else was great, thank goodness, since I was entertaining out of towners and we don't need bad representatives ruining our wonderful city.
This was a great place to eat. It was noisy only because of some construction going on but other than that it was great! The staff is awesome and so is the food.
We went here during happy hour and everything we had was absolutely delicious! The appetizers we tried we would definitely get again. And there drink specials during happy hour were great!!
The staff was friendly. The meatloaf was the best I'd ever had. Get the victory salad, worth it for the dressing alone. I would definitely return. Reasonably priced too.
The food was pretty bad. The spinach artichoke dip was flavorless and the Jasmine rice might've been regular rice also not favorable. When I pay for food I expect it to taste better than what I can do in the kitchen. I'm no Besh but sheesh... A cool atmosphere tho.. maybe I expected too much... I mean it was a Monday evening.
Average food and service. With all the great food in New Orleans this would not be my choice unless you need a break from the WWIIMuseum.
Food was fine, server Alfred was great!! But beware where they seat you, they call out names when tables are ready, and they do,it very loudly!! Uncomfortably loud. If you have to sit at a table near the hostess stand, guests waiting for tables linger over you and can almost sit with you they are so close ! The best part of the meal was our server, he was on the ball!
I would not recommend this restaurant - while the food was edible, it certainly wasn't up to New Orleans standards.
This was our second visit to the restaurant. We were visiting the National WW II Museum for 2 days and ate here both days. The experience last year was much better. The temperature seemed to be near freezing and we had to go outside to warm up. It doesn't seem to make much difference if you make a reservation or not. Everyone who wanted to eat there seemed to get seats. The service was a bit slow and the servers seemed to lack training. It took a long time to get refills on hot water for our tea. It also seemed to take a long time to get the check. Overall, you don't have much choice while you're visiting the museum but this could be a much better experience for patrons and workers alike. I would suggest that they bring or change their restaurant management company.
Food was delivered in a very short period of time, and was very, very good. Friendly waitstaff.
My sisters and I dined at the American Sector after visiting the WWII museum. It was to celebrate our father's memory and one sister's birthday. The food was okay, the service was great, especially when the staff sang happy birthday. I would recommend this restaurant to someone who visited the museum.
Burger was burned, sent it back, returned a burned burger.
This is a surprisingly good restaurant considering it is located in the WWII Museum. My wife and I share a wedge salad and a pastalaya dish (jambalaya made with pasta). Both were excellent. Service was very good.
We had a wonderful experience here. The waiter was very good, attentive in a crowded restaurant, and the food was delicious and little different, but very American.
The cool thing was at the end , this waiter presented a bill that was separated for each person, telling what we each had and the cost, all on the same check. Never saw that before. He received a big tip.
Great service! We were there to see the show and we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice dining experience also.
Food was subpar with a small variety...riding on the coattails of Besh. Service was very good. There are many other restraunts within walking distance to museum that would be better food. I thought it was pricey for lunch.
Service was not very good and I feel that it's management's fault in not sufficiently coaching their staff.
The chicken fried steak was above par, better than I've had in quite a while. The mashed potatoes and green beans were exceptional, really good. However, my hard-to-please wife said her pasta dish wasn't that good, but she did like my mashed potatoes and green beans. Service was attentive. All in all, a surprisingly nice experience.
