We had an excellent meal. Our server was fairly friendly, but didn't seem to enjoy her job very much.
Service was great, live music was a nice bonus. Pasta dishes while had good flavor, were missing key ingredient. The meat! Lasagna was void of Italian sausage or hamburger and evening special chicken, mushroom and pea rigatoni was missing mushrooms. Overall enjoyed the experience and will return next time in Leavenworth.
Really good authentic Italian cuisine. Great wine list. Friendly service. Very quaint small ristorante.
Good food and amazing service. Really pleased we booked this place
Very noisy, mediocre food. Unremarkable service. Would not recommend.
Dinner for 7, all greatly enjoyed their meals. Live music a plus, except we happened to be a little close, hence noise level rating. This is otherwise probably a fairly quiet restaurant.
Yummy food and good customer service
Great service. Delicious food. We will visit there next time we’re in town
This is my favorite restaurant from all the places I've been. The food is great as is the staff.
Visited this hidden gen 3 years ago on the advise of the B&B where we were staying. Was delightfully surprised. Small and quaint, but food was awesome both then and now. Don't make it to Leavenworth as often as we like, but will always visit this restaurant every time we do.
Birthday. Fun times had. Nice people. Small. Intimate place cool little three piece band
Our experience was entirely different than expected based on reviews here and Yelp, and our innkeeper's advice. Maybe just a slow night (nearly empty), but the food was mediocre at best: the mushroom ravioli was very good, but the lasagna was not -- probably had been cooked hours ebefore. The wait person knew nothing about the food and could not enlarge on the info in the menu (she said she was a recent tire). The wine list is good and the wine prices lower than usual for the labels I recognized. The decor is lugubrious: it would be fine for a warm indoor feel in the deep of winter, but it's not a summer place for sure.
Every dish we got was over cooked. Medium rare steak came out cooked through and essentially well done. Halibut was dry and ribs were over baked.
Service was good, though I did not feel very welcome.
We ate kind of late (7:30) so there was only 1 other couple there. People eat early in Leavenworth I guess.
We shared the lasagne and caesar salad. The portions were large enough for 2. They were very good.
We have been repeat customers over a number of years. We have tried numerous restaurants and this is a favorite. We were served by Sarah who took care of the bar and restaurant-she was amazing-we we’re very impressed by her!
The Alley Cafe is our favorite restaurant in Leavenworth. The quiet romantic ambience, and the excellent food make it a favorite for visitors and locals. Our favorite menu items are the Chicken Jerusalem and the Halibut ala Creme. We have been a returning customer for 20+ years, basically every time we are in Leavenworth. Next time in Leavenworth give The Alley Cafe a try, you won’t even disappointed.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed The Alley Café! The food was spectacular and the service was excellent! We even got desserts to go as we wanted to continue enjoying the food, even though we were full (and still had leftovers). Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
Food is delicious. Service is fast, good, and friendly.
Great team-wonderful food. Trio of musicians was a nice touch!
We arrived for late-night dining and found the atmosphere to be most welcoming. The food is excellent! The bar is extremely fun, and we enjoyed the entire evening!
Fantastic as always! Great food, service and setting. One of our favorites.
It was our 46th Anniversary. We were looking forward to a nice Lobster but alas it was not meant to be. The steaks were good and the vegetables wonderful.
Great food, ambiance, all we needed for a special birthday.
We used open table to reserve a table for Friday night for our anniversary. I received an email confirming my reservation. When we arrived they didn't have the reservation and had some excuse about not having the ability to check it at work only on a cell phone. Seemed odd that they would use open table if they can't check it. We were seated in the bar which was fine because it was quieter. Our meals were good but not outstanding. Not really sure if I would recommend to a friend or not.
Fantastic food at a reasonable price. Service was great and the ambiance was perfect for a date night. Live music started up in the adjacent lounge about halfway through our meal and it was excellent music that was relaxing and not too loud. Highly recommend this place!
My wife wondered why they would decorate their entry wall with vintage nude cheesecake photos. Service was friendly and attentive. Her pesto pasta dish was adequate. Pricey for a simple pasta. My schnitzel was inedible. The meat was dry, tough and tasteless. The so-called mushroom reduction I'm guessing was from a mix. A glossy pasty blob. The cafeteria-style sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli were simply dull. The waitress was professional enough to adjust our bill. I am just amazed the chef allowed this dish to leave the kitchen.
Live music every Thursday, small intimate setting. good bar, dinner, not so much. The chicken Parmesan was dry and not saucy, and the swill style schnitzel was slightly overcooked - both seem to have been prepared well ahead of time. Service was great.
We enjoy the Alley Cafe because it's small and quiet enough to visit with dinner guests.
The menu has a good variety of choices and the prices are fair. We had a new waitress,
and she did a good job. Steve, the owner, is friendly and helpful.
The name doesn't do this place justice, it's more a full on Italian restaurant than a café. Service was on point and food was amazing, highly recommend the seafood and their garlic bread.
Really a great meal. Will be going back for sure.
My daughter’s engagement announcement.
It was all together good, but me and my wife are young and the manager went and talked to the other 3 tables but not us.
This is a hidden gem located in the appropriately named Alley. The service was over the top, the owner of the restaurant even came over to talk to us and give the menu some color. Good wine list with plenty to choose from. We loved the menu, wide variety of options. They even had schnitzel, one of us ordered and it was spot on good. We have had dinner often in Leavenworth, but this will be our go to for Italian and schnitzel.
The food was very good and the service was not bad. Wehad two babies with us (group of 7) and from the time we walked in the door, we could tell they were not thrilled that we had small children. But our kids were well behaved and we had lots of wine, so they were somewhat okay with us.
nice quite restaurant with cool intimate bar just off the main drag tucked on the corner alley. Surprisingly great!
A must visit dining experience in Leavenworth. If you enjoy authentic Italian cuisine this is the place. Very friendly staff, quiet and romantic most nights - quaint and small. Located right off front street. While you can easily spend $100 for dinner for 2 it is well worth it. My new favorite restaurant in Leavenworth.
Proposed to my girl here and believe it or not, she said yes!!! After stuttering and asking why I was on one knee that is, perfect place and atmosphere, food was great!!
The service was rushed and the food was average.
Excellent experience with friendly, quality service. Much appreciated
