Our waiter was very attentive and made excellent suggestions when we asked questions. The food was delightful and prepared perfectly!
We had a cracker experience at this restaurant. The food was great and the service was exceptional. Despite using a voucher, we were treated like royalty.
Great Service and Great Food! They made my co-workers birthday a wonderful experience.
great place just use travelzoo
very and they don't honor it
Nice surprise for a first visit. Excellent service and very good quality meal. We had 3 different entrees and appetizers that were excellent. The desserts, I could skip.
The service was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely. The food was just ok for the prices that were charged. My shrimp was ok and the steak was overcooked.
The Second Floor was a great place to take a loved one for their birthday. I reserved a table for two for my boyfriend and I because of his birthday, and they gave us a free dessert and even gave him a birthday card. It was really sweet to see that each of the employees signed it. The food was really good, and the pricing wasn't bad at all! We were able to get an appetizer, four drinks, and two entrees for only $75. I was looking to spend around that much (maybe even more) that night anyway. This restaurant was really worth the visit, I would definitely go back there. The staff there was also very attentive and didn't have any problems with getting you what you needed. It really felt like we were in a five star restaurant.
Food is always great and so is the service. Highly recommend this place for a quite get together.
My husband and I had dinner here on Friday. The dinner and the experience was marvelous. The staff, the food and the ambiance was amazing. We went on a travelzoo special which made it all the more a time.
We went back the next afternoon for brunch, what a total difference service and food. I ordered the shrimp and grits plate and my grits were cold so I sent it back. The kitchen not only microwaved the grits but the shrimp too which changed the texture of the shrimp. The onsite supervisor was clueless. The noise from kitchen was unprofessional.
I have an idea of the restaurant, go in the evenings for a lovely experience.
Good breakfast and decent service. There was a crying baby next to West which is kind of annoying but that's not the restaurants fault. However one of the reviews stated it would be a great place for a business breakfast and it's definitely not.
This is a great place to have a business meal. Quiet and they validate valet parking. Their cobb salad is great!
Never disappoints. Always amazingly good food in a sophisticated environment.
Delicious food, excellent service
My third time there on a Travel Zoo voucher and really enjoyed it. Steak was superb! Loved the crab cake appetizer. Selection of desserts left something to be desired.
My husband and I celebrated Father's Day, and it was our first time to Second Floor.
What a fabulous place. We felt so special the whole time.
We will definitely be back, as well as share our experience with our friends and family.
A simply perfect day.
Many thanks to Julie and her entire staff.
Service was INCREDIBLE! Great whiskey flights, great recommendations from the servers. We came for a birthday bc if you sign up for their emails you get a free entrée on your birthday!
Delicious, well prepared, and nicely presented food. The server was very attentive without being intrusive. A very quiet evening when we visited. Probably due to the inclement weather that evening.
Nice ambiance. Very quiet. Nice decor. Service was quick and server was very professional.
The Mother's Day Brunch was great! The food was awesome! It made my Mother's really special. And the Basil plant was a nice touch! Loved it!
Special event pricing not disclosed when I made the reservation or when they called to confirm.
This was our first time at The 2nd Floor. We went for a Mothers Day Brunch Buffet and it was exquisite! Super friendly staff, amazing food. I would recommend definitely!
'Fit for foodies'...I literally could have made a more tasty and enjoyable dinner at my house. The filet wasnt great...I recognize the 2nd Floor isnt a steakhouse, but it was not good. The fingerling potatoes au gratin were just bad. potatoes sliced in half with a bit of cream and butter and half melted cheese. The overall meal lacked any seasoning or real flavor. the brandy mushroom cream was good, but also lacked salt.
Great brunch - amazing Belgian waffle and blueberry pancakes!
I celebrated my birthday at The Second Floor Sunday, April 10th and I'm so glad I did! I must say that I was wowed with the service from beginning to end. the attention to detail was second to none and the servers (I apologize I forgot your names) as well as the GM, were outstanding. I had the Seared Beef Tenderloin which was delish and topped it off with a serving of Pear Upside Down Cake and Ice Cream. This is my new go to restaurant for family and friends who come to visit DFW! Thank you for making my birthday fabulous! See you soon..
We had a great Easter Brunch and fun dining experience.
We always go to the Gaylord Texas for Easter Brunch. We have for more than 10 years. But this year my now grown daughter had to work on Easter so we chose a location close to her work. What a delight! This location provides a fine dining atmosphere with a smaller venue and smaller seatings than we have had in the past. We really enjoyed it. The diversity of food was much smaller than we are use to ( my son missed having more variety as did I ) but what was available was excellent most especially the Beignets and the chicken and waffles. The staff was very professionals and welcoming. We are very happy we tried a new buffet for Easter and the 2nd Floor.
What a wonderful dining experience! Delicious food, great ambiance and service.
For supposed Cheffey place pretty crummy food but can tell by lack of CLIENTS
The waitress suggested options were perfect and it was a very nice dinner.
We went for valentine's day cuz we love Scott from Bijou and his wine dinner pairings events. Being Valentines day, we thought we would get his new creation. The crab slaw was tasty and the posole soup was fabulous. But the main entrée , steak was just like any hotel restaurant food. My husband had the lamb and it was soo stringy and tasteless, we were very disappointed. The dessert was something I could put together at home. Very disappointing dessert.
The french toast was awesome, the waiter ashley was the greatest. I recommend this place to everyone.
GF and I went for Valentines Day Dinner. We each bought the 3 course meal with the wine pairings. I ordered the pasta, my GF ordered the Filet Mignon. The pasta was simply terrible. Sauce was tasteless and the cheese was bland. Pasta wasn't fully cooked. My GFs filet was delicious but there was almost no mashed potatoes and they dumped half a pound of onions onto the plate. It looked ridiculous. Wine pairings were fine but the meal costed over $180 and for that price I was hoping to be blown away. Instead it felt like we got the B line chef.
Have been to this restaurant 4-5 times; on my most recent visit everything was 'off' - service was extremely slow, had to remind them to bring butter for the bread, my hot tea was served lukewarm, and the kale salad? was comprised of mostly spinach and butterleaf - Where was the kale??
This is one of my fave business lunch spots - service is good, noise level is moderate and food is excellent
Thank you Second Floor for reminding us of how good this restaurant is!! Received free birthday main course dish which prompted us to visit. First visit in several months and now we will be back much sooner. The food was outstanding, possibly the best in Dallas!!
It was a fun casual way to spend new years eve!
The food was cold and not appetizing at all. We had gone with another family - a total of 5 adults and 3 kids on Christmas Day for their 5 course pre-fixed menu. Since the menu was fixed, the least they could do was serve food that appeared fresh. It felt like in mass producing the meal, everything was stale. The kids menu had items that you would expect in a diner and not a fancy restaurant. Very disappointed.
The place was really nice, and food good. I thought it was pricey for what we received. But then again, we rarely go to upscale restaurants. It was a nice change.
Made reservations for the 5 course Christmas Dinner. I was dining with my wife and 2 teenage sons. When we arrived we were seated at a table in the middle of the bar surrounded by TVs. I knew the price point for the dinner and I was not expecting to sit in a bar with TVs on for a Christmas meal. At first the hostess said she would turn off the TV most adjacent to out table. When I told her that wasn't satisfactory and we were leaving she indicated that she may be able to find a table for us in the dining room. While she made us feel like we were inconveniencing her, I reminded her that we had a RESERVATION. We did not just show up looking for a last minute table AND there were plenty of tables in the dining room.
The meal itself was not memorable. Food temperature was inconsistent for each entree. Everything tasted as if it had been prepared days ago and was just reheated prior to being served. Considering the price point--this was a major let down!
Not sure if it was the restaurant's regular staff or whether we got the junior varsity since it was Christmas Day.
A friend and I, very last minute, made a reservation for the five-course offering at 2nd Floor. We were actually seated earlier than our time, which was great! Service was exceptional. Food was delightful.
