Good food. Poor service.
Enjoyed a birthday lunch celebration on Vail Mtn with a stunning view. Great food and care in presenting a special desert at the end!
Great space and views on a clear day. It’s a fun experience for fine dining on a ski day. Our server was wonderful. However, There are items on the menu that are certainly overpriced and considering preparation should be removed. I would make sure to ask your server about your preferred dish before you place your order. If you can put wagyu beef on a CAT to bring up the mountain surely duck liver would be no issue. The manager had a rehearsed speech for us which only confirms I’m not the first person to have a problem witch the item.
Very nice lunch break at Mid-Vail. Take off your boots and rest your feet in comfy slippers. The ambiance is very nice with great views. Service was spot-on and the food was tasty. It was not as expensive as I would have thought, but you are at Vail! It was really not much more than the conventional fare elsewhere on the mountain, so splurge a bit. Make a reservation if you can. It wasn't crowded when we were there, but you never know.
Food as always here was outstanding! The receptionist at desk was extremely rude to the point of being offensive based on facial expressions of looking annoyed when we arrived a little early and asked if we could be seated a little early. The wait staff were not very helpful. We had a 11:00am reservation when they opened for lunch and there were only a few tables occupied. The wait staff all stood in an area talking amongst themselves and none of them seemed eager to serve. Not what you expect when paying top dollar at an upper end ski lodge restaurant.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. The fungi flatbread was amazing....super thin and crisp crust. Excellent reuben sandwich also. Go for the upgrade on the truffle fries! Will be back.
Muy buena experiencia, el lugar espectacular pero el servicio un poco lento
We love the food and the beautiful views from the restaurant. Lovely break when skiing. Prices are a little high.
4 parties at lunch. 2 people received mains not in accord with what was actually ordered. When burnt burger pointed out, server looked incredulously at burger but then accepted it was burnt through. No apology by server or manager when he brought new burger. Crazily, burger without bun ordered without lettuce, onions etc and each time got bun, etc. Asked for pastrami sandwich without spicy Russian and received with. Also, ordered Machiatto twice and got double expresso twice. Severs or kitchen not paying attention.
Reception staff snooty and inattentive. No smile no focus.
Staff clearly not gotten the message that Vail is an experience of a lifetime.
We were all super excited to arrive at the 10th after an amazing powder day on the mountain. When they told us to pop off our boots and slip on a pair of slippers, we almost died! Excellent cocktails and pretty good food. Service was pieced together by a few different servers which was confusing largely because we wanted more water. Overall, it was a perfect ending to a great ski day!
The 10th, located at Mid Mountain in Vail is always a viable alternative to eating at one of their cafeterias, like “Two Elk” for example. It’s sit down, with spectacular views of the Gore range. The service has been pretty good, and reasonably prompt, which is a good idea since you have a lift ticket running. I used to think it was only slightly more expensive than the cafeterias, but now it seems a bit pricier. When you leave a tip, which of course you don’t leave at the cafeterias, you might be 30% higher in price, but with a much better experience. If your intention is like mine, to avoid the overcrowded cafeterias, plan on making your reservation at the 10th a couple days in advance.
Noisy. And sat next to prep area. But best eating in the mountain.
Lunch was fabulous! The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the views spectacular. We wish the restaurant were open for dinner.
Food was delicious but the truffle fries were burnt. I didn't want to say anything but the chef should have just made new ones, it didn't take a keen eye to see they were overcooked (I have had them before and know how good they can be). The rolls were cold, not sure if it was suppose to be like that but I expected hot rolls. The Trout and Potpie were delicious! The service was nice but it was clear that they were very busy. For the price, I would expect better but it was still nice.
Love the mussels here so much that it is my major reason for dining here. The chorizo and broth are made for sopping up with a piece of crusty bread...utter delightful after a full morning of skiing! The biggest, and only problem here is the service. Checked in 10 minutes early and saw plenty of open tables but it still took 20 minutes for them to seat our party of 3. One hostess was tied up sitting a group of ten and no one else at the desk could be bothered to seat us, despite several prompts. The waitress disappeared after our food was served and we had to get up and ask for someone to take our desert order. The delicious apple crumble tart made that wait worthwhile but the we had to wait again and flag down someone to get us our check. It's a good thing we weren't too anxious to get back on the slopes. If the service matched the food this would be a 5 star vote for me. The location allows the 10th to get away with this, but it's sad.
We were skiing in Vail and went up to the 10th for lunch. The food was some of the best we had in Vail. Everyone at lunch was overjoyed with how good their food was.
The service was also excellent and one of the managers was always making the rounds to check on everyone.
Of course, the view was beautiful as we were looking across the snow covered Rocky Mountains.
I would recommend this food to anyone or a group looking for a world-class dining experience on top of the mountain anytime of the day.
Try the truffle fries and chicken pop pie. Winners!
Love this place!
Holiday time in Vail, thanks
Don’t miss the flatbreads- any of them!
Mussels and soups are fabulous!
Everything here is house made ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN, even all bread and pastries! Very impressive!!
Very comfortable atmosphere with an elaborate coat room for changing out of your ski boots if you want, and complimentary slippers!
Table was 20 late
It feels like they’ve been massively raising prices but otherwise it’s great.
Absolutely loved our experience here. Went with a group of four and the service and food was phenomenal. Overall great experience!
NOTICE: This restaurant is primarily a ski in/ski out joint. My family and I were not skiing, however we took the gondola up from Vail Village using out Epic Passes and were still able to walk to the restaurant without any trouble.
Can’t be the location or view
Excellent and creative food. However very expensive. Between parking , the gondola ride and lunch we spend over $250.00. Overall a good experience!!
Loved the 10th. Elegant, great food, service and atmosphere. Little bit pricey but worth the splurge.
Absolutely fantastic experience for non skiers.
Food and service were superb. All things considered good value for the money.
It was a 10😀
Wonderful lunch with my daughters!
Food has improved markedly under the new head chef. Service is faultless
We had a scrumptious lunch, with a spectacular view. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
We had a great lunch out on their patio. Our server was very attentive and informative about the gluten free options. The food was wonderful and so was our seat overlooking the mountains.
After a short ride up the gondola to the restaurant my sister and I had a GREAT lunch on the outdoor patio taking in the amazing mountain views . Service was excellent, and waitstaff was friendly. I have eaten there several times and they never disappoint! I will be back!
A very special experience! Great unique food and fabulous service!!!
We had great service from Dre, and that scenery is perfect while having a meal!!!
The view and the food were both outstanding! It takes extra effort to get there, and it is not inexpensive, but definitely worth it for a special, memorable meal!
Great lunch sitting outside overlooking vail valley
Always delicious food in a beautiful setting! Great views of the Gore range. Truffle fries are a must have!
Outstanding dining experience!
