This restaurant sits in the middle of Vail mountain and the views are outstanding. It is a welcoming reprieve after a morning of skiing. I had a nice glass of wine and the Gore salad and was very happy. My daughter had the hot chocolate and it was extra delicious.
We have been to The 10th a few times and we consider it a treat. It is so nice to be able to shed the ski boots and put on cozy slippers. The food is a fun mix and the wine list is something else. Our server was anxious to finish for the day and wasn't all that attentive but we were satisfied with our experience. The homemade coconut ice cream was unbelievably good - I've never had better!
The best in Vail at the top of the Mountain . My favorite.
The food was a bit overrated. $100 lunch is better spent down in the village. Although - you are paying for the view and the experience.
Head up to 10,000 feet when at Vail and grab a delicious lunch as you marvel natures masterpiece in the Rockies.
Top shelf at MidVale. From the slippers to wear as you take a break from your ski boots to the spectacular views in all directions - splurge one day on your next visit to Vail.
The 10th never disappoints. They have the best chicken pot pie on the planet, and you can't beat the mid-mountain view.
Beautiful view of the Gore Range from our window table. Service very good. The french fries as a first course for the table of three where so tasty. Did not have the truffle fries -had regular fries.
Amazing location and view. A must stop for lunch at least on day while skiing
What a special way to have lunch with the whole family while skiing at Vail. Ski all morning then take a break and take off your ski boots and put on the cozy slippers provided. Take in the spectacular views and select from the gourmet menu. Order anything from a full meal or just a soup, salad or flat bread pizza, anything goes and its all delicious!
Amazing view, very relaxing and accommodating. Love taking off the ski boots to put on slippers!!
It was excellent!! Food was amazing! Generous portion sizes and everything delicious. The view is exceptional!
Great way to spend a late lunch after a hard day skiing
What a wonderful respite on a ski day! Have an opportunity to take off boots and wear houseshoes makes it worth the time and money!!
Food was very bad, especially the risotto and the carpaccio. The risotto looked like it came from a box, totally bland, no flavor. And the carpaccio was good the first time, the second one was covered in salt.
We come here often... we usually love it but the service was super slow and not up to their usual standards. when on a ski mountain eatting on the mountain, long wait for food and orders coming out wrong is a big deal
Best mountain dining for lunch
Great spot for a late lunch after a long day traveling to Vail!
Excellent food and superb service! One of the highlights of the trip!
We eat here every time we are in Vail. Seems pricey but not when you compare it to other
on-mountain dining, and the slippers they provide are a wonderful luxury from ski boot-bound feet. Very enjoyable dining experience and a great way to spend a lunch break from skiing!
Fantastic lunch spot with incredible views. Great for a special occasion lunch on the mountain. The slippers they give you to change out of your ski boots are a treat. Highly recommend!
What a treat. No better place in vail mountain . For that matter great place for anywhere, except views are spectacular.
This restaurant is on the mountain in Vail. With a reservation we were treated rudely by all FIVE hosts and hostesses. In particular James, who stood staring at his computer, told us we could not be seated by the window as he had another party for the table who had not arrived. When we would not relent stating we were there with a reservation, he finally let us sit by the window. It was a beautiful bluebird day so it was important to us to enjoy the view. Within minutes, the two tables on either side of us by the windows emptied and remained so for the next hour of our lunch. The food was fine, nothing to write about. The servers were very nice, attentive and pleasant once you get beyond the hosts. It was not very crowded at all, so I can only imagine what a horror show it would become when busy.
Great food - beautiful views. Its too bad its only now open for lunch
Still excellent after years. Have tried most of the menu and never had anything bad. Tomato/red pepper soup (heavy on the pepper flavor) very good. Papardelle, flatbreads are excellent. Good fries, burgers. Risotto is decent, crab cake sandwich a bit too heavy on bread. Ginger whipped cream makes the doughnut dessert. Moet by the glass. Beautiful, high-ceilinged dining room with great views of Mid-Vail, large coat room with slippers to wear. Most staff very nice, a bit confusing as to who is the primary server sometimes.
You would never, ever go there if it weren't for the mid-vail location and slippers. Nonetheless, it is in mid-vail and they do have slippers. Food is adequate, service defines arrogant and condescending, prices outrageous but, they are in mid-vail and they do have slippers. Will admit that they have a nice bloody.
The dining experience was very enjoyable starting with slippers if you don't want to wear your ski boots. Every dish was delicious, from the appetizers to the main course to deserts, and the presentation was outstanding. Our waiter, Kyle was great! The views of the Gore mountain range topped off the whole experience for us. It was easy to make reservations online, which we were glad to have done.
Dined there many times, always excellent, great food and super service although $$
I have been here many times but this was the most disappointing. Lettuce of salad was wilted, mozzarella was over the hill and unappetizing. Carpaccio was expensive, tiny and just so so.
The food is creative and wonderful. The service is outstanding. The views are amazing
I will be back.
This is a wonderful, although pricey, way to have lunch on Vail Mountain. Nice to take off your boots and be served lunch. Good wine list, interesting and tasty menu options. A real treat.
Fantastic spot for mid-day refreshing. Service is truly remarkable. Pricey, but well worth it for fantastic food, gorgeous views , and very attentive service. Not for everyday lunch on the mountain. But a must go to at least once during a trip.
A great additional to vail dining. It is convenient and has a broad menu. It can get really crowded so reservations are essential
I always enjoy eating at The Tenth. I always try to eat there at least once when I am in town skiing at Vail. Located at mid-Vail, The Tenth provides a calming and nourishing reprieve from a hard day on the slopes. I had the special, a short rib sandwich with their own barbeque sauce, and a delicious house cole slaw, rendered with just the right amount of shredded brussel sprouts. And for dessert we shared the butternut squash doughnuts, with heavy whipped cream flavored with real maple syrup. It was absolutely superb. And of course, our waitress Kathleen was simply wonderful, she had waited on us last year, and we were delighted to have her wait on us again this year.
Great view and very attentive service. We are here twice during our stay and the food was excellent both times
Special place on the mountain! Way better than fighting the crowds at the on the mountain cafeteria style dining places. Found is fabulous and price is about the same as the other places. Highly recommend!!
The 10th has amazing service, food and views. We are greeted by name and the service is fast. The menu has many favorites and there is always something new. Everything I have tried is amazing. Today's favorites from our group were the onion and mushroom soup, pot pie, bloody Mary's and of course the truffle fries. I highly recommend it.
The staff of The 10th provided me with a wonderful birthday celebration of Cava sparkling wine, birthday cake, etc. This was on top of the wonderful service and food. What a beautiful gesture! It was totally unexpected and much appreciated. Steve and Nick took excellent care of my wife and myself. The hostess put us in the best table.
All in all I would say The 10th is a 10 in my book!
Wine and food a bit pricey. But, overall experience very nice.
Great 1st time at 10th. We're able to get in earlier than our reservation which was great since skis are off and ready for lunch. Beautiful setting of course at Mid-Vail. Views glorious.
Food delicious-service great. Good recommendations from our server. Salad and flatbread delicious 😋
A bit pricey $100 lunch for 2 with starter and only 1 beer.
Worth it in the end. We went for the experience and it was 5-star.
