Celebrated birthday and everyone greated us and complimentary dessert with happy birthday greeting. Well done great service
We went for the view and a quick nite to eat on a non-skiing day and ended up being completely surprised with an all afternoon outstanding dining experience. We drank several local craft beers, signature hot chocolate and lemonade cocktails that were delicious. The newly added Croque Monsieur flatbread rivals anything from the countryside of France. We had the luxury of being there during the slow season and being able to move freely from the back patio to indoors easily. The view is stunning and well worth the gondola trip up. If the sun is shining they provide complimentary sunscreen and if the temperature is low you can cozy up to the fireplace. We did both! The service was great and the food and drinks were too... we will definitely be back next time we are in Vail.... but would never try to repeat this super relaxing experience during peak season!
Wonderful and friendly service. Best gluten-free menu in the valley. The gluten-free flatbread pizzas were wonderful! Thanks for a great meal.
OK here it goes. I am reluctantly recommending the 10th as a great spot to take a break in your ski day to relax and take off your boots and enjoy the provided slippers ( if you can find one in your size as the larger ones are often hard to find) I ate at the 10th twice this past weekend and had very similar experiences. The Menu is limited and I think they overreach, attempting dishes the would be hard to execute well even in the best of conditions let alone at Mid- Vail. They should simplify the menu and do it well instead. The service is spotty unless you are with a Vail Ski Instructor in which case they are very attentive as I observed on both days. I had to ask for bread both days and had to walk over to the bus station for missing flatware as well. The lone bright spot was being served a complimentary dessert for a birthday being observed for a member of our party. The low point was another member becoming ill later in the day after sampling the beef carpaccio. Enjoy the 10th for its view, not the food.
We come to the 10th every year while skiing. It’s our favorite spot and well worth the treat
We came to the Tenth based on recommendations from a friend and our ski instructor. We knew it was pricey but trusted these recommendations. We were underwhelmed to say the least. Totally not worth the extra time in our ski day, nor does the quality of the food come close to being worth the prices. The kids meal is a joke!!! A bowl of macaroni noodles with butter is $27! We added grilled chicken putting the total at $36 for the kids meal. I guess the included applesauce and dessert are what command the high price. My husbands burger was average at best, the slaw was terrible and not fresh, the butternut squash soup was ho-hum and the salad was bland. Service also bad and slow - we waited over ten minutes for the cookies (part of kids meal) to come. (Forget any actual fruit or veggie options on the kids menu - all carbs and sugar.). This place is a tourist trap - we will know for future visits to save our splurges for the better quality restaurants in town and stick with the chili and salad in the other lunch places on the mountain. Oh and I almost forgot to mention the hostess was joy friendly and forgot to check us in. So we waited until about ten minutes after our reservation time, checked in again to learn she had forgotten the first time we spoke with her.
Our visit was amazing! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience - don’t forget to take your ski boots off and slide into some slippers! 😉
And definitely order the truffle fries!! The aioli is fantastic!
We were in town skiing.
Best Restuarant on the mountain. Great everything!!!
Special lunch with family and friends!
Great spot with amazing views. The food is always exceptional. Makes for a wonderful ski day.
Our server Chris and his team were really good and on top of it. We will be back!
Fancy and expensive for a mid mountain restaurant, but delicious. Fantastic views and courteous, ever-present staff. The room to store your ski gear, including the option to trade your boots for slippers, was as welcome and comforting as the pot pie. Make sure to make a reservation well ahead of time, as it fills up during peak hours.
My husband (63) and I (58) were having lunch after skiing with our friends’s children age 37 and 35. The waitress would not serve a drink to El because she did not have her license. That would have been acceptable, but she had to add fuel to fire and bring over manager to make sure we knew they knew she could not drink at table. I thought it very rude of our already rude server. Her tip reflected our being watched over entire meal. By the way food is just passable
We usually love having lunch here when we go skiing. Usually it’s excellent. This most recent time we waited a long time for our food. There was some kind of mix up with the order. They gave us complementary desserts which was nice but we lost about a half hour of skiing because of the long wait. The food is wonderful and so is the place. This most recent visit was frustrating.
Food is very good considering it is being cooked on top of a Mountain. Because of its location you can probably charge whatever you want and therefore $30 for a decent Hamburger but not Amazing. However it is an Ideal location for a very good lunch on the Mountain. Also to their credit the Service was excellent.
The only place to eat on the mountain!!!
Everything was great except they got my one son’s order wrong and it took much longer than it should have to get his grilled cheese.
It was awesome! I booked it for lunch for the next two days. Highly recommended.
My wife & I had met at Mid-Vail 30 years ago to the day of our visit. Simply put, The 10th was the perfect spot to celebrate - we had great food, great wine & an absolutely great time. The 10th was a perfect 10 today. Thank you!!!
Family get together
Fantastic on slope lunch with clients. We will be back for sure!
The food is good, the ambiance is excellent but the biggest problem was how long it took to get seated and served. Even with a reservation made several days in advance, we had to wait 15-20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. I guess the thing that The 10th needs to remember is that they aren't a restaurant down in town but are a slope-side restaurant serving skiers that expect to continue skiing after their meal (well.. after lunch). Certainly some of the patrons were happy spending 90 minutes of their ski day in the restaurant and if that is what they want to do, then The 10th is the place for them. But the staff also needs to be ready and able to seat and serve their skiing guests a bit more promptly so that they can get back on the hill, particularly considering how fabulous a ski hill Vail is.
They did a great job for my son’s birthday
My son loved the carpaccio!
This is a lovely alternative for on mountain dining. The food and service were terrific and the views are gorgeous!
Great. Service was outstanding. Meal portions were very generous.
Steak a bit tough and overdone
The 10th always makes our day skit at Vail, that much better. The staff was excellent, as always and the food was very well done. Of course, you can’t beat the view!
A must for lunch while skiing at Vail⛷
Way over priced. Service was awful same with the food.
Best ski lunch ever
Great ambiance, mountain views, service. High prices.
Good food. Poor service.
Enjoyed a birthday lunch celebration on Vail Mtn with a stunning view. Great food and care in presenting a special desert at the end!
Great space and views on a clear day. It’s a fun experience for fine dining on a ski day. Our server was wonderful. However, There are items on the menu that are certainly overpriced and considering preparation should be removed. I would make sure to ask your server about your preferred dish before you place your order. If you can put wagyu beef on a CAT to bring up the mountain surely duck liver would be no issue. The manager had a rehearsed speech for us which only confirms I’m not the first person to have a problem witch the item.
Very nice lunch break at Mid-Vail. Take off your boots and rest your feet in comfy slippers. The ambiance is very nice with great views. Service was spot-on and the food was tasty. It was not as expensive as I would have thought, but you are at Vail! It was really not much more than the conventional fare elsewhere on the mountain, so splurge a bit. Make a reservation if you can. It wasn't crowded when we were there, but you never know.
Food as always here was outstanding! The receptionist at desk was extremely rude to the point of being offensive based on facial expressions of looking annoyed when we arrived a little early and asked if we could be seated a little early. The wait staff were not very helpful. We had a 11:00am reservation when they opened for lunch and there were only a few tables occupied. The wait staff all stood in an area talking amongst themselves and none of them seemed eager to serve. Not what you expect when paying top dollar at an upper end ski lodge restaurant.
