This was our second trip here and were as impressed as before. It’s surprising that this restaurant is not completely filled all of the time.
It's beyond me why it took so long for us to visit this restaurant. Had we known how incredible it is, it would have shot to the top of our list of "must try's" a long time ago. What a great, out-of-the-way, but totally convenient location; street parking was a non-issue. It has a wonderfully comfortable and inviting atmosphere and if you're lucky, you'll nab a table with an enchanting view of the city. Service is a lovely balance of warm, genuine and knowledgeable. The food, though, is the star. This small, neighborhood restaurant turns out sophisticated dishes with outstanding flavor and presentation. We are SO happy to have found this restaurant and will no doubt be back many times to come.
This is indeed a neighborhood gem. A few issues -- for a bolognese being extremely hot and spicy was not a happy surprise. And they forgot one soup and it took quite awhile to finally bring it to the table with no compensation to the diner. But otherwise, the soup was excellent and the rest of the food very very good.
This is the best Italian Restaurant I have ever been to. The marinara sauce on the risotto cakes was amazing. The pasta is fresh homemade and everything else was from scratch. I wish we lived closer because I would eat here all the time. The staff was very friendly with great service. There were two downsides. I found a hair in my risotto cakes, and the two tables with a view had sun pouring in them so the shades had to be closed part of the time (the shades were ratty looking and need of replacement). That said, the food was superior to any Italian food I've had (which is a lot since both me and another family member married into Italian families).
It was a great time! The staff seemed very knowledgeable and it was just a great time to catch up with my wife with some good food.
Food is always good and a very good wine list. Enjoy the specials. Parking is easy and love going to neighborhood restaurants. Like the size of the restaurant. Similar to what you would find in Italy.
My bff and I went for a girls' night out. This was my second time at That's Amore and her first. We both had specials which were absolutely fantastic. She had Risotto with Mussels and I had New York Steak with Gnocchi. Delicious! For dessert she had Key Lime Cheesecake and I had the Carrot Cake. They were alright but nothing in comparison to the entrees. The wait staff is delightful and I look forward to my next visit!
One of my all time favorite restaurants! The view is spectacular! The service and food top flight!
We have been coming here a couple times a year for several years. Our impression was the quality of service and food, while always good, had seemed to improve. Highly recommend this great neighborhood jewel.
Loved the view, food and service. My only hesitation is the noise level. It would be tough for anyone who is slightly hard of hearing to be a part of the conversation due to the too high din. Some noise-absorbing surfaces would serve this darling neighborhood resto well.
Our meals were quite good. The wine list was not extensive, but they had some nice selections from Italy. Nice views of the Seattle skyline if you are at one of the tables near the windows.
The Boar entree recommended by our waitress was excellent! The homemade pasta and bread were fantastic as well. We look forward to returning.
I had out of town guest who loved both the food and the view.
This is our third time eating here and each time has been better than the first! The wait staff are awesome and make dining here more enjoyable. The authentic Italian dishes are a real treat. There are so many good dishes that I can't recommend one over the other. We will be back; hopefully soon!
Our guests wanted to go to an Italian restaurant. Had not been here in years. Wow, our mistake. The food was excellent, from the Bruschetta to Chicken Picatta to the Risotto to the Tagliatelle. All were done perfectly. We will be going back soon.
We have come here for more than fifteen years for a birthday. The food is always served beautifully and tastes specially good! We often try the specials, the best!
A wonderful neighborhood restaurant with a cozy ambience and a lovely view of downtown Seattle. The food and service are always top-notch. Highly recommended!
Just a wonderful dinner. Food and service were excellent. Tables near the back have a great view of the city.
Lovely staff and the food is consistently good. Decent wine list and yummy bread
Outstanding food and service. A variety of dishes were ordered and positive comments by all!!
Delicious! Nice wine selection for size of restaurant. Great small Italian restaurant find for Eastside foodies who like to find great neighborhood finds anywhere within the Seattle region. Well blended and fresh ingredients. A must visit!
The food is amazing and the view can't be beat. I love this neighborhood, what a gem. Suggestions for improvement - the lighting was too bright (they turned it down upon request), put candles on the tables, and train the staff (they seem a little new/not knowledgeable). We will be back!
Celebrated my husband’s birthday. The food was extremely good, the view was great, and the service was outstanding . We will definitely be back
We eat your often, and the food and service are always marvelous!
Service was great friendly and efficient
Scampi Carbonara was very nice
Rosetta appetizers was a must have
Been living in South Seattle for over 4 years and I never heard of this place until a neighbor mentioned it. I wish a heard of this restaurant sooner. Delicious food, attentive service, and outstanding views of the downtown skyline. Highly recommended.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Small and intimate. The menu changes periodically and the daily specials are fabulous. Good wine at reasonable prices. Love this place.
This place is my new favorite. It’s in a great neighborhood and the view of Seattle was tremendous. The food is authentic Italian and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Will certainly return.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle. Great food, wonderful service, fantastic view - all with an unpretentious feel. You can dress up or stay casual. An absolute gem.
Excellent double birthday celebratory dinner; free desserts for birthday family members. Carmen was the best server--handled diet restriction issues quite well. Food was excellent!Outdoor seating was quite peaceful with occasional loud traffic. Lots of street parking. Definitely will return again! Just need some hard cider on the beverage menu, ha.
I always love to go to That's Amore! It is an awesome neighborhood restaurant. Stephanie and Carmen are great wait staff. They are always happy to see me and my father on our weekly dinners. I recommend this restaurant to anybody who is looking for an outstanding Italian Meal and a great City View and exceptional service.
I made reservations for 3 but upon arrival, there were 16 people and it was a surprise birthday party for me. How fabulous Food was awesome and great service. I plan on going back for dinner. Everything was delicious.
That's Amore is the the quintessential "New York City " neighborhood Italian restaurant. The staff remembers who you are, and are friendly but don't (thank the cosmic muffin) get overly friendly and call you "hon" or anything like that. Their wine selection is good enough for the food they serve, but not pages long, which I feel is an asset and not a drawback.
If there is a criticism at all, it is the same as for just about every restaurant we go to these days - the decor is not made to absorb sound, so it gets noisy. Happily, That's Amore does not add to the din with too loud music.
The kind of place we have looked for over a period of years where we can go back again and again, expect to be recognized, and always have a good dinning experience.
Well done, mille grazi!
Really liked the food, need to expand the white wines. The ones available were pricey and the choice minimum. The restaurant is noisy. Can't understand why restaurants want it to be so noisy. The "vibe" of noise drowns out conversation. Good service.
Food is great and generous amount but just enough to satisfy a meal, not overly filling; will have to return to try other items next time. Ambience is cozy with a great view by the window. It's wonderful that it's located in the neighborhood, not some big shopping area.
Our serve Guy was really wonderful - totally took care of us and was right mix of personable and professional.
As always That's A more didn't disappoint. The everyday menu is always perfect and the specials are varied and delicious. I've been going to this restaurant for years...and it's great everytime!
We always enjoy our dinners here. The food and service are top notch.
Great food and service at this little jewell of a restaurant. Loved our evening there!!
Excellent overall... as always! Brought Italian family here for dinner. They loved it. The rissoto special was outstanding.
