Wonderful dinner out with friends at Texas ! Very friendly staff! The service and food was excellent! The ribs are outstanding!! The Texas themed environment was on point! I So enjoyed the live music by the very talented Rodney Bowens !! Staff stopped by our table several times to say hello and welcome us ! Wow! We felt like we were so appreciated for choosing to dine with this restaurant! Can’t wait to go back!

It was our first time here. Unfortunately I think they were just having an off night but as far as the Service atmosphere drink selection, it was absolutely amazing the staff was incredible. The staff was absolutely incredible. One of the owners personally spoke with us even though the restaurant was rather busy, she still took the time to come over and say hello and we will definitely be back

Excellent atmosphere, decor was fun but the live music was really fantastic. The wait staff were AWESOME, I don't remeber the last time I felt like I was taken care of so well. The food was so good, normally I would get a steak at a place like this, but the bacon wrapped quail is now my favorite. Can't wait to come back

Menu prices are expensive but service & atmosphere was excellent. Family owned with owners working the tables. Steaks were excellent. A gem in Richardson, Texas. Would definitely go back but be ready for a big bill.

Liked the trout and corn without peppers. However the steak was a little chewy & the melted butter tasted a little strange. Once I got the sides corrected to what I ordered, they were very good. We thought the dessert was included for veteran’s day but we were charged.

Texas Restaurant is truly an American and Texas icon. The food, atmosphere and service are great. Friday and Saturday nights at 7:00pm, we love the National Anthem!

Went for our anniversary- welcomed by all staff- very friendly & nice atmosphere. Our waitress, Ying was top notch. Several others walked around asking if we needed anything or just to chat. Service was wonderful and our food hot & delicious.

The kitchen staff had a hard time getting my wife's filet mignon just right. She ordered Medium Well, which should only have a sliver of pink. It was very pink, closer to Medium Rare (which I wonder if the waiter didn't mishear her and thought that's what she said). Took it back, brought it back out, still too pink. Took it back, 3rd time was a charm. This is very much the outlier experience however, as all previous times at Texas we have had nothing but an absolutely fantastic experience.

We have been twice. This is a family owned amazing restaurant with great service and outstanding food. We had bang bang shrimp for an app and Sea Bass and Beef Tips for dinner. Perfect night and the management is delightful!!! She even remembered us and we only went once before. If we had a spot we would choose to be regulars it would be here!!!

One of the main things that makes me love this place is when you walk in the door, the people at the front are so welcoming!!! They make you feel special & that they are thrilled you’re there! We sat on the upper level which was very nice, doesn’t seem to be a bad table in the house! The wait staff is attentive but not overwhelming. The food is excellent by the way!!! We had a great time!

Not impressed. Seasoning on my steak was not even, so some bites were good and some not so much. I've had more tender fillets from the chains and for a lot less $$$. All I could taste on the "burnt corn" was the excessive bell peppers. The "whipped potatoes" were so-so. Had better.

I can’t say enough great things about Texas. But I do suggest dining before 7pm on Friday or Saturday for one of the most inspirational and moving moments. Must go to see what I am referring to.

I have dined at Texas 20 to 30 times over the years. The food and service has always been good to great. Last night we went dinner. I ordered a 12 ounce filet mignon cooked medium well. What I got was a piece of junk. The outside was burnt charcoal and the inside was raw red meat. I do not like to send food back, but I regret not sending this meat back. The steak was garbage and the sides were soggy. never going back. to much money to waste and a really bad meal.

We dined at Texas on a Monday night in October. Game 7 of the ALCS (Rangers & Astros)was on TV in the bar but the crowd was not loud. Excellent service- Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, A tasty Filet and Delmonico Steak were all delicious. Martini, wine and Bread Pudding for dessert. Will definitely return!

Everybody’s super nice but the wait time was just too much. We had a reservation and we still didn’t get in until 25 minutes after the reservation and it took about an hour for us to get the food.
