Met my sister here for brunch as I was traveling thru the area. This is a large restaurant located within hotel. Service was slow to start- wait staff were not aware of table assignment.
We enjoyed the buffet. Beautiful selection of fruit. Nice balance of savory and sweet options.
It was a very nice breakfast for Father's Day. The service seemed a bit slow, but probably because it was a holiday. We are willing to try it again, when it is not a holiday.

Food and service were delicious. Price was great at $19 for buffet which included drinks. The ambiance was elegant yet a little rustic with sliding barn doors and gas fireplaces as well as a beautiful outdoor patio. It was a perfect setting for a girls' bunch or a date. Loved this restaurant!
Overpriced and the food choices were not at all what we expected. We went for the Mother's Day brunch. We had reservations at 2:45pm. By the time we got seated & placed our drink order, we only had enough time to go thur the buffet line one time. At around 3:45pm the staff started closing down the buffet. However, we were charged a $28 gratuity for a party of 3 people and on top that the waiter overcharged our credit card trying to split the payment in half. The whole experience was a huge disappointment and we will not be going back to this place.
Very nice brunch buffet setup.....some of the meats needed more seasoning which was a first because we have eaten at Texas Spice many times...overall everything is worth the price.

Great Valentine’s Day Buffet, very romantic ambiance

My fiancé and I went to Texas Spice for Saturday brunch. Their buffet was excellent and well organized. They staff did a great job with practicing COVID protocol and they went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. We will return soon.
Great place for breakfast- easy if you’re a guest of the hotel. Definitely a must try.

Overpriced buffet... We enjoyed it last year, but this year's selection of food was not great, especially for $25/person! The desserts are cloyingly sweet (and I'm a dessert person) - very disappointed! Service was non-existent even for a buffet - we had to grab our own water bottle after waiting about 15 minutes for our "waiter" to get us one... Will have to remember never to come here again!
My table of 4 was at this restaurant for 3.5 hours trying to place a drink order, trying to place a food order, trying to get our check. The service was absolutely horrendous.
We had the most incredible, attentive and polite server. His name was Josh and we would dine with him 1000 more times! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The chicken fried steak was fork tender and the chorizo gravy had a kick to it. It was a CFS that I would definitely eat again! The bowl of red was made with chopped brisket instead of ground beef, wonderful touch. The candied pecans on the chocolate pecan pie was the absolute best. Give me a whole bowl of them!
While the food was amazing and the restaurant was really cool, the service can make or break the deal. So on to the service..... The hostess is the first person you meet and should be a warm and inviting soul. Yep not tonight. Should have been the first clue to turn around. Playing games on your phone, really?!?! Let's move on to the table. The guys have dinner menus, I was given a lunch menu. Could have been remedied had our waiter shown up within the first few minutes but nope, let's not get in a hurry. Not to mention that Frank had his heart set on the chicken spaghetti that was listed on the online menu. "Oh the menu was shortened about a month ago. Online wasnt updated". Order is taken but I have a question. Does the bowl of red have beans? "Yes." Then it's not Texas chili. Comes back, "There are no beans in the chili." I'm sorry, did you not make it to the staff meeting today to go over the menu?
We finished with our food for about 10 minutes, but waiter is NO WHERE in sight. "Wanna be Manager" comes over, we ask where is our waiter? "Probably in the back, what do you need?" The best line of the night is when the waiter comes back and Frank asks "are you still our waiter?" Haha. After observing the room, the problem would be that the staff wants to congregate and converse and not be attentive to the people seated at the tables in the room. This goes for "Wanna be Manager" who seems to have no initiative to ensure that his staff is doing their job.
Would I go back, definite nope, nope, nope. That's my advise to you, take a pass on Texas Spice at the Omni Hotel.

Besides the hiccup with the hostess and having us wait 10 minutes and telling us “I forgot you had a reservation” and then not checking us in under our Open Table reservation everything else was great. We all ordered the salad bar with cups of Tortilla soup. It was delicious and the price was right. Our waiter took great care of us also.
Unfortunately limited staff to handle the convention crowd. Had a reservation for 12, made two weeks in advance. When we arrived, the hostess said we would have to wait until several tables became available. Finally 8 of us were seated and then 15 minutes later the rest of the part was put at another table away from the eight.
We went for Sunday brunch, and it's a great spread of down-home classics like mac-n-cheese and fried chicken but brunch classics like blueberry sausage patties and breakfast potatoes. They're very accommodating to gluten-free diets, too.
Extremely loud due to huge event adjacent, made us want to get out of there ASAP.
Drink order took a very long time, then salad and entrees served together. Shrimp and grits very salty, swimming in liquid. Salad good.
The food was good. The service was only fair. The restaurant was out of all the wines we were interested in, and our server had no knowledge of wine and was not helpful in answering our questions about alternative selections.
Went for lunch. Soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. I had the brisket tacos and they were great. Husband had the chopped salad and he thought it was perfect. Kids had burger and chicken salad sandwich. They were happy. I recommend this restaurant. It’s in the Omni hotel.

The food was over priced and depended on the clientele being lovers of fried food. Nothing more than very expensive pub grub 😝

This is my third visit. The first two times were great; however, the food and service have seriously digressed. I invited three friends. First, the waitress did not know the menu. The catfish had a nice crispy crust; but the inside was just shy of fully cooked. The coleslaw was stringy. I asked to substitute the slaw for a salad. The waitress mixed up our orders and ran one of my friend's credit cards twice.
This was my first time here and even though I read bad reviews, I still decided to make reservations. My husband and I stayed at the Omni, we choose this restaurant so we didn't have to leave the hotel. We were celebrating our 1st anniversary and we were looking forward for a great experience. First of all, our server was very rude. I made reservations for 9pm and he immediately said to order quickly because the restaurant closes at 10pm. That shouldn't matter, kitchen is not closed! Then we received our food which didn't take more than 10 min to get there which was very odd. I was craving the Shrimp & Grits plate but it was horrible. It was way salty, too salty you couldn't eat it. I told the server and he responded very loud and annoyed that I could get anything from the buffet table. Dessert was not good either. I was very disappointed.
We got charged for mimosa which no one received , I had order a spirite . It was ok the food was decent nothing that I would refer or go back it's a nice place

My family and I ate here to celebrate my birthday and a celebration it was. The food and service were both great!
My staff and I dine at Texas Spice every year during the Southwest Dental Conference because everyone loves the buffet. This year, the buffet was closed without any word from the restaurant. As a result everyone was ordering from the menu and wait times were longer.
The biggest issue was the waiter. One of the staff asked if a dish could be modified (vegetarian), and the waiter told her it probably could. She began to order, but the waiter told her that she needed to slow down and that she was adding too many things. I am also vegetarian, and had ordered the dish with meat on the side. I asked if I could change my order to vegetarian as well, and the waiter said, "No, I don't recommend that you do that because it will already take a long time to get your food because of her" (pointing to the other vegetarian staff member). He continued, "that means you, you, you, you will have to wait for your food because she wants this." So I said never mind, just bring it with the meat on it, and he left.
After almost an hour, we went to the hostess to ask about our food because we needed to get to our next course. The hostess disappeared around the corner, returned and told us that we were "next". I suspected that the waiter was trying to prove a point by taking a long time to serve us, which was supported by the fact that when our food was brought to us less than five minutes later it was barely warm. Both vegetarians had ordered grilled cheeses, so, if it was actually her order that made our lunch late, you'd think at least hers would be hot. But cheese was hardened, fries were cold, etc.
So to Texas Spice: Be more aware of what is going on around you before you decide to close a buffet during a conference. And offer your staff diversity training. Your waiter would not have been questioning orders or belittling us had we been a table full of MALE doctors. The food would have been great hot, but, sadly, the service was so bad that no one wants to return.
