The food was great and brought out promptly. Everything we ordered was delicious.
The restaurant was a bit noisy and cold. Besides that, everything was fine.
Would recommend and come back!
The waitstaff was very unprofessional during this visit. We had to constantly ask for things they should have done already. We had to ask for dessert menus and coffee. The waitress seemed more interested in getting us out the door than making sure we were happy with our meal. The food was phenomenal as usual but we actually had to ask them to bus the plates when dessert came... just a very tentative and inexperienced waitress that evening. Overall stars probably.
Tyler and staff was so accomdating to our family. We arrived for a late lunch after
our Mom's funeral service on Monday.
Thank you for making us feel special!
Our waiter recommended the ribs, first thought too messy. I am glad I tried, first it was off of the bone and the meat was so tender you did not need a knife- the sauce was just right not to spicy. The mac and cheese was the best ever-we always stay at the Omni and this was our first time to try Texas Spice. This will now be our choice-sorry Bob's-
Our waiter Ingrid was very helpful and sweet to all of us. She made sure our drinks had refills and held great conversations with us. But more importantly she had a positive attitude and a very genuine smile. The brunch buffet was very good with a lot to choose from. Will definitely recommend this place to friends!!
Sunday Brunch for Father's Day was very nice. Food was great!
Horrible service and dirty and it felt out of control. Employers weren’t aware of customers sitting for long periods of time without being approached. Place was dirty and i won’t go back or recommend !
Father’s Day Celebration
The service here is very good, friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is a great idea and worth the money. I will return.
Always a good lunch at Texas Spice. I usually avoid hotel food, but this place defies the category.
We came with a large party to celebrate some getting a new job. They easily accommodated us and gave us free samples. Great option if you are around the convention center
The staff at Texas Spice exceeded our expectations!!! We had a party of 6 celebrating my dad's 65th birthday & we couldn't have picked a better place. Our hostess greeted us upon arrival, showed us to our reserved table & our server Diana took over. Not only did she cater to our every need she took the time to get to know us personally & treated us like family. This is our new favorite place to eat for ANY occasion.
After seeing the reviews for this place and selecting this restaurant for a quick weekend trip, I was very unimpressed. While the restaurant is farm-to-table, the food was bland and the restaurant felt like it could have been a chain restaurant. We ordered overcooked deviled eggs as an appetizer and I had a flavorless club sandwich for lunch with an unappetizing side salad. Perhaps dinner is better and is why the restaurant has many good reviews, but I would recommend going elsewhere for lunch.
We visited Dallas from Houston to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and also for the ATA Taekwndo district championship tournament (daughter placed 2nd- Creative Forms). Stayed at the OMNI hotel and dined (2-nights) at Texas Spice (next to the reception area). The food, service and ambience was excellent. Isaac was our server on both days, his service and customer oriented attitude is outstanding. Thank you Isaac.
The brisket flatbread was awesome! Full of amazing flavor.
From the Unfiltered martini to Chicken Fried Venison and the best service it was perfect
First time dining at Texas Spice. Thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, the meal, the service and the dining experience.
The food was great and the setting was comfortable. The servers were more than cordial. The food took a bit long for us to be served but the kitchen was backed up due to the crowd from the convention. We did see several groups that came in after us get served. :-/ But I would go back again!
Buffet or ala Carter menu for breakfast. Made to order omelets, lots of unique choices in a comfortable and stylish atmosphere inside the Omni. Perfect for what we needed for a group of seven headed to the convention center.
Got seated immediately during peak time w/ reservation . Positives ended there. 2 salads took 35 minutes to arrive and only after our clueless waiter caught the daggers I sent him. Funny how the order showed up just after. A vegan salad would have had more chicken on it than the “chicken “ salad I ordered. Only reason they are in business is they are in the hotel. Otherwise, No one would go there.
Thank you for providing good food with great services while our stay at the Omni for one week.
We all had great time and hope to come back again soon.
The Food, Service and Ambience was 10+. I will DEFINITELY return again and again.
two of the three in the dinner party became sick afterwards.
The service is outstanding here. Ask for Javiar or Jose , and you will get superior service. The food is so good and if you are in a hurry there is a buffet for breakfast and lunch. I would recommend reservations for the evening meal.
Everything was fine until 3/4 of way thru chicken fried steak with chorizo gravy I had a hair in the meal. Totally lost my appetite.
Mentioned to waitress- never saw manager.
This was a surprise to find out it is in the Omni Hotel. Usually hotel restaurants are over priced and a bit disappointing. The food was excellent and the ambiance rustic casual. Loved it!
Food was great the booth with sat in had some stains on the seat and was pretty dirty. The wine menu had wine stains in it but the food and service were great and price was decent
Food is phenomenal! Also have round tables for friend gatherings. Love this place!
Our waitress Jennifer was awful. It was pretty slow and it took her 10 minutes to come greet up at our table. We place an order for our drinks, that took another 30 minutes. By this time we got up and left because the service was so terrible.
Great staff, and very good food. Will be going here again
Had the Deviled Eggs to start, and the Pork Schnitzel as my main course. Both were decent, but not memorable. The waitress couldn’t remember the specials, and the server brought me out my main course before my appetizer, before bringing it back to the kitchen. Servers were friendly enough. Overall not a very memorable meal. If I were a local, I doubt I’d go back.
Waitress was consistent and food came out at a good time and was good
Went down to have breakfast on Sunday and was greeted with the most uninterested hostess that I've encountered in a while. When walked up to the hostess stand she continue organizing the menus for almost two minutes before acknowledging us. We were not amused but just ignored it and continued talking amongst ourselves while we waited. When the hostess took us to our table she began moving the place settings around to accommodate our group of three. In doing so she proceeded to stick her fingers in all the glasses in order to pick them up with one hand and them move them to different locations on the table. The table was in a very noisy spot right by the kitchen so we asked if we could move to a different table and were told in a very snarky fashion that no other table was available. In looking around we noticed that there were only four other tables in the entire restaurant but then assumed that the rest were probably reserved (all other 30-40 open tables) and just sat down. Our waitress came up at that point and got our drink order. We attempted to ask nicely for new glassware, since the hostess had stuck her fingers in all the current glassware on the table, and she could not understand why we just wouldn't use the glasses on the table. We finally ended up telling her the reason and she brought new glasses for the table.
This was not our first visit to Texas Spice and, although we know the food is not out of this world, had previously really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. I would not consider myself a germophobe in any way but do recommend that Texas Spice mgmt properly train their staff in cleanliness and sanitary food handling. We were at the restaurant for about an hour and fifteen minutes and saw possibly 5-6 other tables arrive (so much for not having any other tables). The waitress and woman at the omelet station were very friendly but the hostess was just rude enough to ruin the experience.
As me and my fiance arrive we check in with the hostess and as soon as she starts talking it's straight attitude just rude dismissive I mean I love that hotel that restaurants amazing but that hostess just literally killed the whole experience every time we get a romantic getaway we go to the Omni in Dallas and we eat at the Texas spice but after that experience I don't know the waitress was amazing super helpful and always there when we needed her but that Hostess had way too much attitude and was just extremely rude
Excellent service and great breakfast. If you leave hungry , it is certainly your own fault.
We had a business breakfast at the restaurant. The food was good and the buffet had a great selection even for those that do not eat meat. The sautéed vegetables for breakfast were a great idea and they had a good flavor.
Food and service was amazing!!! New favorite!
THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS GREAT !!! A WIDE VARIETY OF FOODS TO CHOOSE FROM...
BEST SUNDAY BRUNCH EVER WITH A REALLY GREAT PRICE!
I'LL BE BACK.........................
