We were staying at the Omni for an anniversary weekend. Server was great and food was delicious. We had the tuna tartar tacos and a chicken wrap. And we got a slice of delicious chocolate cake on the house to celebrate.
Our server (Ric) is excellent! Parking is easy! Would like to see more meatless choices like smoked salmon to go with bagels. Long lines in the Omelette area. Grilled vegetables and fruits are great!
The ambience was great, rustic and modern. We tried the dinner buffet and were very pleased with the variety of options, couple of unique dishes, and the comfort food dishes as well. It was a great value for the variety of food.
Each plate from apps to dessert seemed to get better than the previous. The crab cakes, kale dip, meatball bites and deviled eggs were superb. I ordered the short ribs and they are the best I have ever tasted. Our friends were so impressed by the food they asked for the chef to please come out to personally thank him for the exquisite meal. He was so kind to come to our table to say hi and let me know they cook the short ribs for 72 hrs. We loved all of it and we can not wait to go back.
Excellent service. Good food and a diverse menu. Great outdoor seating.
Would go again,
Was an over priced golden corral with less to choose from no pancakes no waffles very little to choose from no French toast
The attention to every detail for this 5th Wedding Anniversary was Amazing!!!
Good service, nice twist to home style items on a buffet for those in the party that didn't want to order from the menu.
I was hesitant to book a team dinner here, because of the buffet. I have a 'lower opinion' of dinner buffets. But this restaurant was close to our hotel and it had 4.5 out of 5 stars from Yelp, so I booked it. NOT DISAPPOINTED! Of the 7 people in my group, 5 ordered the buffet (myself included). The food was fantastic! Farm to table, down home, slight bend toward 'southern'. We loved it. My team had a great time and we left 'stuffed'!! Great food, good service, nice atmosphere! HIGHLY Recommend!!!
Decent hotel restaurant. Nothing to really brag about. Everything needed a bit more seasoning. The biscuits given before thr meal were the best part.
We had the buffet and it was great. We have teenage boys and they were able to eat quickly and plenty to fill them up. Our server was wonderful. Very friendly and interactive with my family.
the souffle omelette was light and fluffy
the sevice was attentive
the buffet well maintained and bountiful with options
It was overall a good experience. The waitress was excellent and caring. Some of the food was good and some only OK. Chopped salad was not "chopped" or mixed, basically iceberg lettice with quartered eggs and other ingredients put on top. The deviled egg fillings was just pureed egg yolks with a few toppings. The potato chip paneed schnitzel was ok but tough to cut and more bread than pork. The place was nice and the hotel excellent. I would go there again and order differently.
Good food. Nice place
Sunday Brunch was very good except they ran out of biscuits for about 20 minutes. The plate was empty on the buffet table for 10 minutes while I informed the omelet chef. He could have cared less. He wasn't busy when I told him why I was standing there for 10 minutes and then gave me the normal response, "They are bringing them". All he had to do was open the kitchen door and say, "Out of biscuits!" So another 5 minutes and I had a waiter ask me if I needed something. He seemed to care and tried to find a kitchen supervisor. Another 5 minutes and a new plate of 20+ biscuits was finally brought out. Disappointed in $20 buffet when they can't keep food available.
Lovely place nestled in the first floor of the Dallas Omni. Remarkable food with great, friendly wait staff wiling to turn over on their backs to help you.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Everything was very good on the buffet and they had a great dessert selection. Servers were very helpful.
Service took over an hour and a half to get us our meal
Food was not cooked correctly (Brussel Sprouts tasted raw)
Wine was opened and poured without tasting beforehand
Waiter did not ask for point of cooking for Ribeye, served it completely overcooked
my $14 salad was the size of a $7 dinner salad. Good food but poor value.
This was a mixed-bag.
A+= "Whinnie" was very helpful making our reservation, and then working with us to adjust it
A= The venue itself is IN the hotel- not with the restaurants detached from the hotel but located on the property. It was aesthetically pleasing.
B= Our foods, particularly the cocktails, were very good. We opted for the buffet and enjoyed the choices. It feels very "Sunday Brunch at a Hotel", but the choices were tasty. The tomato soup, mixed vegetables, and apple crisp dessert were our favorites!
C-F= Our server was so unfriendly, and our table a mess with poor attention to refilling drinks and clearing unused plates. His mood was horrible, and he conveyed this to the 11 guests I brought for dinner. People commented on his "snippiness" when he would walk away. This got so bad that I spoke with the host and manager. To their credit, a team of servers came into our area and refilled drinks, cleared plates, and offered to help. To our server's credit, he apologized several times and that was kind. While the service experience got corrected, it didn't get corrected until about 1/2 way through the meal. We left feeling "meh" about the restaurant. Good food if you're committed to staying in the hotel, but downtown Dallas has much better food choices with consistently good service. I would not be opposed to returning to Texas Spice, but it will be low on my list of places to try again when other places that are as good or better are so close by. I thanked the server for his apology and the manager for her quick response. It ended the evening as nicely as it could, but didn't inspire me to return. All in all, I give it a "C."
Great service, great food. Great patio and interior ambience too.
Phenomenal experience, can't say enough good things about Texas Spice! I took my girlfriend for Valentines Day and she loved it. TPayne provided exceptional service and helped make the special occasion one to remember. We both had a steak off of the nightly specials - great piece of meat with delicious sauce and perfectly cooked as well. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Great place for a more upscale get-together! Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. When one person at our table was debating whether or not to get the clam chowder, the waitress brought a sample for everyone to try (it was phenomenal). Everyone was pleased with their meal choices, and I would recommend the kale and crab dip for your appetizer and the fish special for the entree. One word of warning: it's pretty pricy. But for a special occasion or a rare treat, Texas Spice is definitely worth it!
Great meal with a wide variety of selections. Went back a second night as I was so pleased with the first meal. I highly recommend it for a moderately priced dinner in downtown Dallas.
If you go for breakfast make sure to get the French Toast. It's completely unique and very good.
The private dining table at Texas Spice is excellent. The service and food were exceptional. Veyr well done.
It's a nice restaurant inside of the Omni hotel. The decor is awesome. The flatbreads are delicious. The wine was good too. It's a classy place.
Everything on the menu looked awesome, but the Chicken Fried Steak is outstanding!!
Great service and great fresh food! Nice atmosphere, tables made from barn wood, large bar and nice patio with gas fireplace. Loved it!
Not your typical hotel lobby restaurant! I have eaten here several times now, sampled most of the menu, and continue to be impressed by both food and service when I return. The Market Greens Salad is a huge winner!
Cute brunch place. Food was great. Staff was phenomenal. It was perfect for New Year's Brunch
Wife's birthday and New Year's Eve. Will be back
Brunch buffet. Good selection for $20.
Buffet was excellent. Great selection and everything was great. Nice family outing downtown
Beautiful themed restaurant. Food was just okay.
I took my girlfriend here on a weeknight. Very quiet, very ambient. As someone who highly values polite and friendly service, I was thrilled. Everyone we interacted with was patient and cordial. My girlfriend appreciated the ambiance, the lighting was nice and hardly anyone was there so it was quiet. There's a large fire that sets the mood too. I'd be a regular if it wasn't so pricey and far away from where I live
Food was great! Felt rushed as a gentleman in a suit kept asking to pick up our plates. Will make sure to visit on a weekend next time. It is more relaxed.
We had a large party of 12.
They put us in a beautiful, private room that was perfect for our family!
The atmosphere , service and food was great!
Thanks for going the extra mile to serve us!
We had a wonderful evening!
Our waiter Patrick was spectacular and spoiled us completely!!!
Very nice place and my friends enjoyed the dinner buffet. It was a bit too dark in some areas. We had a group of 11 so the ends of the tables were super dark. I think you should be able to see your food or read the menu at least, we all scrunched into the middle since they allotted for extra seating. We ended up putting our coats and presents in the dark areas since no one wanted to sit there.
