The meat servers were all so nice and funny ! I will say we wish the waitress came around a little more often. We actually had someone go get her so we could get refills on our drink. The food was really good though , and she was still very nice !
Texas de Brazil is, or should I say used to be one of our favorite restaurants.
Made a reservation for 345, got there at 3:30 only to stand at the podium until after four waiting for a table or someone to even acknowledge us.
After being seated by the hostess, who was probably the most pleasant thing of this whole experience, our waitress stumbled over with an attitude and a filthy uniform, asked if we’ve ever been there before and asked what we wanted to drink. After getting our salads, we waited 45 minutes before anyone came by with any meat, and then when he finally did, he had one small piece of fillet that we were supposed to share between the both of us.
Two other couples around us were feeling the same thing with the same concerns. Even though they were clearly shortstaffed, the manager kept letting people in and seating them at tables without any concern to the guests that were already in the restaurant waiting for food. By the time any of the meat came to our end, there was nothing left. Talking to the manager about the situation he basically threw his hands up and said “whatever”. Unfortunately we will never go back to Texas de Brazil again. It’s Not the only steakhouse in town, it’s costly and this last experience turn us off pretty much forever.
This was our first time here and we will definitely be back again! The food was amazing and the service was also great. Highly recommend.
Always enjoy dinner here! The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is amazing with a ton of choices. The environment is calm, elegant, yet casual.
Server was inexperienced. Never received potatoes and bananas during meal - had to ask for bananas. Meat was not cooked. Too much of the same meats, no variety.
All of the meat was over cooked at at least medium well but mostly well done. I like my meat medium rare and that is how I was told it would be served. The restaurant was extremely noisy. Also the tabouli on the salad bar had gone bad. We told the manager who promptly took it off the Salad bar. For the amount we spent for the two of us we were highly disappointed.
It took our server 40 minutes to get my glass of wine. We did not get any bread till we were paying our bill no potatoes or bananas. We were told would have to pay extra for wich any other time we did not have to but we gladly paid for our banana and rolls. I under no one wants to work these days as is I also work in the restaurant business.
In just over a hours time the meat came to us literally on average every 10 and up to 20 minutes apart, not counting the nasty sausage that clearly nobody wants . We were offered meat literally 5 times total, and of course you get essentially one bite each time. So I paid $10 per bite of meat.
On top of that, after being told it would be “medium rare” like always, the meat was either well done or RAW.
Two of the meats we got were bacon wrapped steak..both times it was BURNT!!!!
The flank, which we requested from the moment we sat down, didn’t make it to our table until the very end, and it wasn’t cooked right, no rock salt, no flavor...couldn’t even eat it.
To make things worse, the Tabuli had something majorly wrong with it, it was disgusting and I ALWAYS love the Tabuli here. Super disappointed.
Waitress barely came around. Manager, unlike managers in the past, didn’t bother coming to the table to ask how things were cuz even he knew this place is trash now and a complete ripoff.
At $50+ per person, NOBODY SHOULD EVER LEAVE HUNGRY....let alone unsatisfied.
After the break evaluate of Covid, we came within the first two days they reopened. Noticed that almost none of the people from before were working,
This is our 4th try since then and it’s progressively gotten worse each time.
I WANT TO BE REIMBERSED FOR THE VIP CARD I SPENT MONEY ON AND USED 1 time because there is no way in hell I will ever return to this restaurant and the others are too far away.
For less than the price of one visit at TDB, I can take my lady out to Texas Roadhouse, leave over full, eat far superior meat, and leave happy.
This location is TRASH
Do not go until the regular cooks and managers return....or there’s 3-4 months straight of decent to good reviews
Total rip off
We always enjoy the food, but our service was exceptional this time. A really wonderful evening
The staff was great the buffet was very low on food the entire time.
It was our first time eating there and we were blown away! Can't wait to go back.
Generally overcooked and under seasoned. Took forever to get drinks but after the service was good although they acknowledged it was very slow (and it was).
Food was very salty ,meat over cooked no flavor waste of money and time
Meats are too salty! The filet was either rare or over cooked! Our waitress was very sweet but clueless. We had to ask her 3 times for butter for our bread & our soft drinks. Packets of butter should be on the salad bar. Dishes piled up on our table. She didn’t rush us. We had to wait a long time for our check! Manager never came to our table to ask us if we needed anything! As we were leaving they brought out spare ribs, they didn’t bring them out of offer us any!
See my review on Trip Advisor! Would not recommend to anyone under the current conditions there.
Awesome experience! This was my first time and I enjoyed the drinks, the salad bar, and everything was so good!
Great food and great service at an affordable price. You won’t leave hungry.
Great food and great service!!
Great food, friendly servers & wonderful atmosphere. Love going here for special occasions with friends or alone with the hubby.
Absolutely amazing time. Our waiters were all friendly, upbeat and on the mark. Our waiter Tyler at the Syracuse location was outstanding. And we will be back!!
The waiter was nice but it took forever to get the meat to the table. Our drinks were slow not steady had to ask for a1 sauce didn’t get it offered! I hate summer staff!
We have been to Texas de Brazil many times and this visit on 8/19 was extremely disappointing. It was not like any of the other experiences we have had in the past. We have always recommended to friends and family but will not be after this experience. I understand times are hard and many restaurant are short staffed, but this is the reason we had to make a reservation ahead of time.
horrible, just horrible.
Waitress knew it was our first time. She didn't explain things well so it took a while for us to understand. Meats and deserts were delicious!
One of, if not the worst times I’ve had there. Went celebrate late birthdays. Waitress asked if medium rare was acceptable which was préférer by the entire party. Almost every meat that came to the table was medium to even well done. Their only saving grace is the cooking method used and seasoning they do. Brought this up several times and it was not addressed. Requested meats were honored but it took a very long time to get them and even had to be reminded of the request at one point. Wait for meat was long in between choices. Embarrassing to bring my grandparents there after I talked so highly of the place. Maybe it was an off day but it doesn’t change the fact it was a terrible time. The grandfather felt ill afterwards to and he was the only one to eat the lobster bisque but causation vs. correlation. Can neither confirm nor deny.
We went for my husbands birthday and loved it! Our server was friendly, poor guy was running around a good bit so he forgot an item when I asked for more cheese bread but I can’t blame him. He also seemed new, but he tried hard. The gauchos were all super friendly and funny, there was only 1 who I barely heard through his mask but that’s alright! The meats were delicious and the desserts were phenomenal!!! Definitely recommend the cheesecake and carrot cake! We had a great time and are definitely going back!
Gotta say this location was on on a downhill run for a while. That's over! Back and better than ever. New Management made a great difference!! You will enjoy it
The experience is worth the price. The gauchos were especially friendly.
We could barely hear what the employees were telling us because of the noise level and the masks. It was our first time and we weren’t sure what to do which meant it took awhile for meat to come to our table. The drinks took awhile (30 min maybe) to come as the one bartender was busy. The water we were given was warm. My bank card was rejected even though I had plenty of money in my account. It was just all annoying. Great food, a few good servers, not all… One male server finally told us what we should be doing. He was very nice and helpful.
The meat was all very well done when we asked for rare . The servers always skipped us to the point the head serving manager came and asked us and we told him that we were not served but only two meats . This is the second time this has happened with them skipping over a small table and focusing on the large tables. Very disappointed and doubtful to come back.
I showed up a little early and the hostess wanted me to wait until my reservation time even though the restaurant was 1/2 empty...they said short staffed. I was sat at the bar and to make a long story short the bartender did the best she could but she was very busy. The meat was dry and only a couple of the meat guys came by. I have been to many TDB competitors such as Fogo De Chao and other local places in Texas (the home state of the corporate office) This was the worst food and experience I have had there. The restaurant should be embarrassed with how poorly they performed.
The buffet was very empty. The meat did not come to our table in a consistent timely fashion. It was not worth the money.
Waste of money. Our server was very polite, and took care of us. The meat servers would serve the big parties on either side of us then leave the area. Stayed for 90 mins and got four meats. Two of which we had our server send over. Also took 38 mins to get our cocktails. Save your money and dine somewhere else.
New GM was completely unprofessional, and rude. He ruined my sons birthday
Everything was fine but slightly different than before COVID. Wish it can go back to that but all in all, I love the place!
We got sick immediately after eating. Both my husband and I. And we were sick all the way home. Had to keep pulling over. Will NEVER eat there again.
Always a great experience, albeit expensive. Great special occasion destination and a special experience. Lobster Bisque is to die for - all the meats are delicious. We especially enjoy the filet and the lamb shank.
Overall poor food and bad service for the price. Don't recommend.
The Texas De Brazil in Miami is far superior. I wouldn’t recommend this location. Too loud, you have to request meats, service is iffy. Not worth the cost.
Beef is all supposed to be medium rare. Ours was medium well to well done. We told the waitress and she sent them back out. Again, medium well. Usually they do a great job but it was a big miss this evening unfortunately.
