Texas de Brazil - Schaumburg Ratings and Reviews
We love this place and have gone multiple times. Although the food was just as good as always, our waiter was not nearly as attentive or friendly as we're used to. You could tell by his demeanor he was stressed or annoyed due to something else. While watching a few bigger tables leave, he seemed to lighten up and become a little more friendly, but at a restaurant where customers/guests are spending well over $100 for dinner and drinks, I expect great service for the entirety of the duration. Food was great as always and there's no possible way to leave this place hungry! Will always recommend to friends and will always be among the top of the list when deciding upon a place to go for a anniversary, birthday, special occasion, etc. But don't take for granted your guests. Had I been a new customer to this place, I would've been very turned off by the initial greeting and service.
As always, the food was amazing and I left with the meat sweats because I just couldn't bring myself to turning that coin to red. Our server was wonderful. She was engaging, funny and had the perfect balance of checking in without seeming to hover or abandon us.
We were there to honor a friends birthday who past away, and his wifes. They accommodated our request to add extra chair to table. Our waiter was fantastic although I don't remember his name, food was great. Only draw back was we didn't see all the meats served as we have in past. Definitely love this restaurant.
The food was amazing with plenty of choices of meat coming around fairly often. The salad bar was great as well. We had an early reservation and arrived early and were accommodated fairly quickly. The negative part was our table was near the front so every time the door opened a super cold draft came through which was very unpleasant and kept my rating from being perfect.
Enjoyed our time celebrating a birthday. The food was wonderful and the selection was great. My only complaint is space in general. I felt claustrophobic. Everyone was on top of each other. If waiters need to keep aplogizing for hitting our table, maybe the layout needs to be rethought. All we wanted to do was fill our stomachs and leave as soon as possible.
A very poor experience with service and pricing that had no resolution with management. Being sent a coupon for joining their email club does not help your check, asking for a manager will get you a "no one is available" response, and sending an email will get you though you "that's just our policy". There are many other options for a Brazilian Steakhouse experience, try one of those instead.
Poor service, inattentive rounding meat servers, and very loud. The server verbally told us the beers were $5 and then we were billed $7.50 each. The rounding servers kept skipping our table because even with a reservation we were seated peripherally next to the guest waiting area. Would not recommend.
Great food and great service! We went on a Saturday night so it was very crowded. We were seated within 10 min of our reservation time. The server was very good. Food was delicious. Salad bar is amazing. Don’t forget dessert! Bottom line is that it was a wonderful experience!
My husband and I love Texas de Brazil and go there at least 6+ times a year. The food is consistently of excellent quality. The service is usually top notch, with an occasional miss. Our server on this visit was friendly, but (although he was very attentive to my husband on beverage refills) never asked if I wanted more wine after the initial glass. There were a couple of other “odd” things with the server, but nothing major enough to keep us from going back. Would definitely recommend to others.
We love restaurants like this. The meats were all delicious and the salad bar was lavish! Our only issue was the service. We had two in our party that only wanted to have the salad bar. When we questioned it on the bill we were told that we were supposed to tell them that at the beginning. Any other churrascaria we’ve been to the server takes care of that inquiry. We still recommend this place!!
We've been to this location many times over several years and typically had great service. This time, however, service was extremely slow, leaving us waiting for refills (tiny glasses make for a lot of time without a drink) and other requests (when we could make them) that stretched our visit to 2 hours, which is a long time for a buffet. Management stood by while their people clearly struggled and, after asking us "how was your meal?", offered no apology when we shared our experience. We'll wait a while for things to shape up before going back.
We have been to the Schaumburg Texas de Brazil several times before but were very disappointed in our most recent visit. Service was sorely lacking. Our server was unfriendly, he wouldn't say anything at all - not, how is your meal, do you need refills on drinks, etc - and was terrible about follow-through such as refilling drinks when we had to ask for them. I had to order a pop 3 times before receiving it so was sitting with an empty glass for a long time. Also, it was our first anniversary, which I listed in the "special occasion" section when making the reservation on OpenTable, yet no one bothered to wish us a happy anniversary, and we had to ask for our check and were not even offered dessert. If we had never been here before, we definitely would not be coming back. However, given the excellent service and food we had previously, we will give it another try, but not for our next special occasion -- it may take a while for us to give it another shot.
