Texas de Brazil - San Antonio Ratings and Reviews
It was one of the special occasions we celebrated, our 42nd wedding anniversary. I made the reservation through open table but then followed up with a phone call and requested a decent table and a little romantic section since we're celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary. We got there a few minutes before 5 pm, valet parking was not yet available. We were seated in a dark corner and then a large party came with kids, noisy but that's not the big issue. Our kids gave us giftcards, we used those, therefore, we were told we cannot get the military discount because the giftcards were bought at discounted price. Not only that, we were also charged for the slice of cheesecake that was supposed to be free. My husband did not check the bill.
We loved the food but not sure if we're retuning again.
My daughter and I had tickets to the Tobin, which is a quick 5 min walk up the street. I informed our server that we were on a slight time constraint and she was amazing. We had wonderful, quick, service which allowed us to enjoy our meal and be out the door in a very timely manner. The food and the ambiance was wonderful.
Excellent as always. My only complaint would be that the servers were TOO fast and seemed rushed - liked they were being paid by how many times they came to your table. I couldn't keep up with it, and I was "splashed" several times by flying juice form the meat. I don't think there is that type of need to rush through and fly out with the food; I have ever experienced that at any other Brazilian steakhouse before.
The Service was very nice and friendly.
The staff was very professional in detailing every kind of variety.
The meat tasted very good and they can adjust the cooking as per your preference.
The value for money is great.
They have very good and special cakes as a dessert.
The Lobster bisque soub was Wow and they gave a good appetizers variety as well.
Definitely I'll visit back if I will go again to San Antonio
My husband and I both love this restaurant. We come here every chance we get. Our waitress (Delilah) the last time we went was amazing! Even made it a good experience for our one year old who is beginning to use dinnerware instead of her hands. She brought out plastic utensils and a small plate for our daughter to also enjoy her time there! The food is always phenomenal and the bartenders know what they're doing for sure!
This was the worst experience we have had coming here. We've been coming to this restaurant for years and I've always enjoyed it however this last visit the service was very bad. The food as always was delicious but the service was awful our waiter barely made it back to the table maybe a couple times. We were eating dinner before they ever brought the side items out and we had to ask for them.
Booked this restaurant to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with my husband.
The start of our experience went very well. The valet and hostess were wonderful, professional and friendly. We were seated promptly. Everything went down hill from there.
We were seated at a table with Jeremy as our waiter. First of all, he did not show up for over five minutes. After asking about our beverage needs, he pointed out the salad bar and left. Did not tell us about the special items on the bar for Thanksgiving.
When we finished at the salad bar, he asked if we would be needing new plates for our entree. The table next to us received new plates without being asked.
We have no complaints about the meat service. The servers brought a variety of selections. All were very tasty. During this time, we waited to receive our sides of potatoes and fried bananas. Jeremy never showed up with them, although he had no problem delivering them to other tables around us. We even had to ask for more tea to be delivered. It was only after asking when we would be getting our sides did Jeremy go get them and begrudgingly place them on the table. No sorry or apology for forgetting.
We declined dessert because we weren’t sure Jeremy could handle it and asked for the check. No discount on our meal even after talking to the manager.
Thanks for ruining our Thanksgiving, Jeremy!
We really enjoyed our experience!!! Our only complaint was that some of the meat cuts were too thin which resulted in lots of char and not much meat. We found this most notably in the filet mignon. Other than that, we were super impressed with this restaurant.
