The food was great, and the service was kind, however a little slow. But overall it was great.
Our second visit and definitely don’t get the bang for the buck. Service was great though.
Food overall was good. Servers had to be asked to come to our table as we were waiting in 20 minute intervals for one meat at a time. All our drinks were flat (no carbonation) but was still charged for them and wasn’t allowed to see a receipt before paying.
We went for Father’s Day and had a delightful dinner. I like that they have you check items on a list and make your salad for you now with COVID-19. Food and service were outstanding!
Service has gone down over last year or so. Not as attentive and food temperature often off.
Fathers Day was disappointing because meats were obviously not cooked out front by gauchos but in back earlier in night and brought out wrapped and then served. Not as fresh, seasoned or hot. Loss of ambiance. Limited menu also charging extra for items usually included like lamb chops. Already paying over $100 for 2 ppl.
Several key items from their menu was unavailable due to food shortages. Even though the items were still listed on the online menu. Price per person was still the same even though the level of service was not. Then they were charging extra for lamb chops which is normally an item included in the price.
Even with COVID related changes to the salad area, was still as amazing as ever. In fact, making the salad/appitizer/sides/whatever else you want to call it area into a plated area might have been a plus. Presentation of the salads was top notch and made it easier to control one's impulses...and leave room for the meat!
Great social distancing, felt comfortable. Staff wore masks.
I brought my fiancee in for Fathers Day. As always, everything was wonderful. It wasn't noisy, our server was on top of her game, the food was delicious.
My advice for the salad bar would be to have at least two people at all time preparing the orders. Order took too long to get to the table. Second order we out it we ended up canceling because it never got to the table and my husband had finished eating his meat. The waiters are doing their best to do everything but having to prepare the salad bar orders at time takes away the time of them checking on tables and making sure we need refills or if we need to make another order. I also understand that we are in a time that we all need to get used too a new time of our lives and be patient. Overall the experience was great and hope you listen to the recommendations and improve with these new regulations.
The food was cold. The lobster bisque was not as good as it has been in the past. We did enjoy the free dessert!
27th Birthday Dinner
Need more items to choose from off the salad selection. Servers need to scan the whole restaurant especially the patrons seated in the corners because can start to feel ignored.
Amazing great service wonderful even in the middle of a pandemic!
We were wondering how dinner would work during the time of coronavirus. We filled out a piece of paper, like a sushi menu, for the buffet items . Our plates were put together by the staff and the waitress brought them to our table. The meat was served the way it normally was. We used tongs to pick up our meat as it was sliced or they slid it off the skewer. The meat was seasoned well and tasted great. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed but we received drinks and food in a timely manner. This is one of a few restaurants that didn’t give us a time limit. All in all pretty nice
Great food. The meat was cooked to perfection. great friendly staff. I had a great experience and will highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great restaurant. I definitely left will my belly full and I was extremely happy.
One of the gentlemen who brought our food to the table, I believe his name was Daniel, was very friendly and outgoing. He frequently asked if there was a certain meat that we were waiting on, and would relay this message to the staff. He made our dining experience very pleasant.
It seemed that the servers were understaffed and a bit frantic in trying to keep up with tables. This caused delay in drink refills, as well as food (soup and sides) to arrive cold when brought to the table. Our server was very friendly and apologetic...she was just too busy. Thanks!
was slower and less satisfying than previous visits. We used to wait for meat to come back around to try again but after a few courses they were done.
Waitress didn’t visit enough and may have had too many tables?
My friend cancelled his reservation based on my feedback
The food was amazing as always but someone had to make our plates as customers can’t use the buffet right now and it took forever to get a refill plate made. The wait for meat cuts was also long. There were times when there was literally only meat server on the floor at a time. None of this is really TdB’s fault. It’s because of the virus regulations. Still it significantly lessened the overall experience. We won’t hurry back this year. Hopefully better days ahead.
Excellent fóod as always. Extra care during this virus crisis. Everyone wearing masks. Provided individual salad bar check list for you to use to order your salad items. No sushi, asparagus spears, but most other items. Meat selection was great. Beef ribs were excellent along with the filet. Seating was spread out . Great time.
With Covid 19 we do understand that everyone is getting back into the swing of things. We also understand that things have to be different. Our only issues were that we were brought the meats, then the salad and no one took our drink order. We had to stop someone to request beverages. Secondly, my husband and son wanted some certain cuts of meat and they made it to other tables. It never to ours. In the past we were asked if there is anything we would like to have and if we did, we requested it. The beef ribs made it to every table, several times Ali h with some chicken cuts, but never to ours. I don’t mind spending the money but when you have to hope someone will bring you a beverage or certain meats it’s not as appealing and takes away from the excellent experience that you are familiar with.
We typically love this place and I know they just opened they have a few kinks to work out we are normally in and out within a half an hour to 45 minutes we were there an hour and a half we didn't even get meat for more than a half an hour our waitress showed up in the beginning but then we saw her very rarely I understand they have to get the food from the salad bar but they need to assign a couple of people to do that instead of each waitress getting it themselves cuz it takes time away from the other tables some of the meat was really good and other meat was barely cooked
I loved my very first experience at this restaurant
The new process worked well! The service was great and good extra yummy!
I have always loved coming to the Texas de Brazil in Richmond. The only disappointment I have is that the lamb chops are now not included in the dinner price like it use to to be. You have to pay for the lamb chops. You can get either 4 or 8.
Excellent Service. The food was delicious and all employees did a wonderful job adjusting to the COVID guidelines. Dinner was enjoyable!
Temperature of food was not hot enough for me, not as much selection as usual
Great restaurant, great food. I like the way the servers bring you everything. Our server SUSIE did a fabulous job. A manager came over and made sure everything was great, which it was. We'll be back soon
Thanks for the great service. Jeff Frazier
Due to the coronavirus the new set up was different you now have to pay for lamb chops alacarte and they fix your salad for you but they are slow doing so was not close the usual experience I which I expected that but not as much of a difference as it was
Our waitress was very forgetful. We asked her over and over again to bring certain items to the table and she would forget almost immediately. I usually have amazing service at this restaurant, so I was a little disappointed in my first visit back after reopening.
I was kind of bummed as the meats tended to be dried out....
We have dined at this location at least 40 times since they opened and were looking forward to dining again since the closure to celebrate our anniversary. We were ultimately disappointed in the entire experience! The salad bar area did not have all of the same offerings, items requested for a refill from the salad bar area did not come out tasting the same (different batch- not prepared the same way), drinks were mostly filled with ice and hardly any alcohol, mashed potatoes were soupy served table side, no refills were given on water at the table, meat servers would come out and pass right by our table constantly, filet was not edible and is not something I'd serve to my dog!, requested two certain meats return to the table and it took at least 20 minutes to receive the meat after flagging down the meat runners and making several attempts although we had already requested this from our server, no manager came by the entire night although they walked by several times as well but did not stop by (this is the first visit that this has NOT happened), had a reservation and was told to wait outside until the table was ready (maybe a 5 min wait)- came inside the restaurant with many tables open so there shouldn't have been a wait whatsoever! If they want to stay in business I'd suggest some major changes from within. There is no reason for food quality and service to be off whether we are in a pandemic or not. I can say that we won't be back until major changes have been made to food quality and service. If you haven't discounted your prices then everything should remain the same aside from cleaning protocols and social distancing!
I thought they had adjusted well to the Covid guidelines to ensure everyone's safety while still maintaining a high level of guest service
Overall experience was very good especially since this was only their third day open after COVID-19 shutdown. Offerings were a little more limited as you would expect with social distancing and thereby fewer customers in the dining room and less staff serving. Salad bar items were brought to you after checking off selections on a paper menu. The process worked pretty well and they were happy to get you more as needed. It was so nice to go out and enjoy a nice restaurant again!!!
My server was excellent. She handled our table like we were the only ones there. Very attentive, but not overly.
I was disappointed in the alacart with the lamb chops but everything else was perfect.
it was the first day back open, but operating under BS social distancing rules. Couldn't serve yourself on salad bar and meat was not as tasty as it usually is which I attirbute to the grill equipment to be super clean due to the shut down. I expect better results next time around after this covid nonsense is over.
Showed up 50 minutes early for our reservation but they were able to seat us after only waiting 10 minutes. Food was delicious. Wish we were offered more cheese bread. Chocolate mousse cake was fair. We'll definitely be back!
I would highly recommend Texas de Brazil. It may seem expensive, but it is great value because of the quality and quantity of food you get.
I absolutely enjoyed this restaurant! It was my first time dining here and I look forward to returning in the future!
