Texas de Brazil - Pittsburgh Ratings and Reviews
Bring your stretchy pants. Laid back environment to enjoy a bevy of meat to table grilled skewers of your choice. From lamb to pork to filet and a plethora of options from the food bar, there is something for everyone in your party to enjoy. Come hungry, leave happy.
When I first walked in, I was very underwhelmed. My first impression of the resturant was not great. The decor was lacking and I expected more atmosphere from a Brazilian resturant.
When I walked up to the salad bar, again, I was underwhelmed. I was thinking this wasn't worth the price.
However, I sampled many things on the salad bar and every single item was flavorful and delicious. The quality of the food was five star!
The carvers coming around with meat also underwhelmed me. Their outfits were plain and drab. I would have like to seen more colorful attire.
However, the quality of the meats were excellent. Everything was amazing and tasted wonderful. And the carvers were very prompt and they seemingly kept tabs on what meats we hadn't tried yet. All the staff were very personable.
Those mini rolls are addictive.

I bought a gift certificate prior to Christmas so that I would get the additional $25 gift with plans to use it for my boyfriend's birthday. The salad bar was beyond gorgeous and all of the vegetables were beautiful and fresh. We were so impressed. All of the meat selections were fantastic and we look forward to returning soon. It was such a memorable evening and I would highly recommend this restaurant. We have been to similar Brazilian steakhouses both in Mexico and in the Dominican Republic and this was definitely the BEST one we have been to. Thank you so much for making this a most special night out.
I, and a few friends from work, met at Texas de Brazil prior to going to the Rivers Casino for a little late night gambling.. It was my first time there and I can tell you that I was truly amazed at the quality of the food. The servers were relentless approaching the table with skewers full of wonderful meats. The lamb chops, sirloin, and filet mignon were tremendous. They were very juicy and tasty. The salad bar was also a surprising delight. I really loved the coconut fish stew. It was outstanding. I would definitely recommend Texas de Brazil for adults. As for kids, I don't think that they would eat enough to justify the cost.
We had a party of 6, celebrating two different birthdays.
Our table was ready when we got there, we had prompt service and the hot food coming out of the kitchen was amazing! The salad bar was nice, and there were a lot of choices, but the meat is the reason to go. Tender fillets, lamb chops, bacon wrapped chicken, lamb shank, pork tenderloins, Brazilian sausage (delicious!) and so much more. All cooked to perfection.
The food runners were fun, and our waitress was the bartender on. She was wonderful, knowledgeable and super friendly. We really had a great time and already want to plan a return trip.
Every time I'm here I'm astounded at how long it takes to get a table. If I walk in at my reserved time and see 20 tables open there's no reason someone should need to fiddle with the computer for 5+ minutes or go back to the back of the house to ask questions. This check in and seating procedure needs significant improvement. I also waited nearly 10 minutes this evening for our initial greeting from a server. The server disappeared for extended times repeatedly. There was also no bacon on the buffet at one point for at least 10 minutes and no indication anyone was actually reviewing the buffet. I finally asked our server to check on bacon and it came out a few minutes later but the whole place seemed a bit disheveled tonight. Definitely not one of the best experiences.
We went for New Year's and our anniversary and what a delightful experience we had. Despite being VERY busy and crowded, we were taken straight to our table thanks to our reservation (awesome, Open Table!). It was our first time, so our waitress, Taylor, gave us instruction and we were able to jump right in. The food was absolutely delicious and we had more options than we could have hoped to try... I guess we will just need to go back again. :) Taylor was especially good to us and the restaurant afforded us special occasion dessert. We will definitely be going back, and we will definitely be using Open Table to make our reservations.
Honest to Pete the best dining experience I've had in recent years. Got the meat sweats about 40 minutes in, stayed for another hour-twenty. Never felt rushed, staff was ALL amazing and friendly. Au Gratin potatoes were fantastic each time, every meat was tender, juicy, and tasted great! Our waiter, Chris, was friendly and exuberant all night, including letting us know champagne was on special to come with dessert for NYE. He and all the guachos took such great care of us. If you plan to go there in hopes of trying all the 15 meats available (do it!!), I recommend bringing a list as it was easy to lose track of the ones you've eaten so far. Dessert was amazing, pecan pie for me and cheesecake for the lady. The Brazilian sausage was new for me and good enough that I had it 3 times. The system for getting a slice of meat was so simple and made the experience great since you never had to physically say no to any cut. Which I didn't anyways. Highly recommended this place, 10/10, 5 stars, two thumbs up. We left so super full and found ourselves an hour or so later (and the next day) saying we needed to go back, hahaha. Can't wait to save up a bit or find a big group and head back, definitely in my near future. I found a new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh this weekend, and I think you will too!
The food is really good. The cocktails were very good also. We felt a bit rushed and didn’t get clean plates between courses. Our server was really slow - they may have been understaffed. The concept is that you flip your card to red if you don’t want any more food, green if you do. The servers paid no attention to the cards at all, thus we felt rushed. That said, the food there is always really delicious and fresh. I would recommend.
This is our favorite restaurant in the south side. But this time it was awful service. Took forever to get and type of meat had to ask our waiter for meat every time. And he kept forgetting or drinks and things we asked for. When you pay that type of obey for good food and recommend it to family and friends hoping they enjoyed it saying they’ll never go back and we’ll go acrossed the street for a steak n potato cheaper with a better price
