Texas de Brazil - Memphis Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I go here every year on MLK day. The service continues to get worse year after year, with this year, 1/15/18, being the worst experience in 7 years. The food tastes great. The salad bar was excellent and the meats were great! We had to request multiple times for our waiter to bring extra bananas, the ones that cleanse your palate before you eat another meat. To bring a beverage refill, appeared to be a chore that our waiter could barley bring himself to do. The restaurant was very slow, so I know he was not busy with other tables. I don’t know if the management has changed or what, but ever since the fire in their kitchen a couple of years ago, the dining experience at this location has gone downhill!! Very disappointed with Texas de Brazil!!
We have frequently eaten at Texas DeBrazil but the worse experience ever. Horrible service although our waiter did his best to keep up. They let ther service assistants go and the service was not worth $30 per person after tip. Had to wait for refills, table was ful of dirty plates, salad bar was not labled correctly, out of mashed potatoes, and the meat was mostly well done. So very disappointed not sure if we will give them another try for $150 lunch for a family of four the service and food should be stellar!
Other than the bathrooms being kinda nasty the whole experience was stellar, I will drive the 2 hours just for the salad bar alone. The fresh cheeses, capers, sushi, tomatoes, caramelized onions etc..... were off the charts. The meats being delivered at a almost daunting pace were all cooked to perfection and very tasty. By far.... get the bacon wrapped fillet med or med rare with some artisan bread covered with goat cheese and seasoned cherry tomatoes will have a lasting impression on my palette that will not be soon forgotten. I look forward to my next visit and you will too.
Texas De Brazil is always a great place to dine. It is our go to for Anniversaries, Birthday, or any Special Occasions. If you like steak this is the place to go. The garlic sirloin is absolutely amazing. Make sure that you make reservations though because on the weekends it is very busy. I would highly recommend Texas De Brazil to anyone.
Don't go late. They were out of bread and service was lacking. Otherwise, one of our favorite places to go! We make it an annual event for a birthday and then we go a few times during the year. This was not a normal night...a little off...never been there that late.
(Memphis) Pre-New Year Eve dinner. Reservation honored(no wait). Ambiance was great for date night or the feel of not being just at your local wait in line for someone to clean a table spot. Server(Mike) provided great service, knowledgeable. My guy is not a wine drinker, so Mike(server) made him feel comfortable in talk of beer. Being still professional but personable, down to earth. This is perfect place for the meat lover but also the “just a salad” please. Salad bar love the options of cheeses. Good lobster bisque. Main course of meats🤗delicious, succulent, made you do that little humming while eating. So many choices coming to you. Chicken was so moist, juicy. Lamb chops😘. Ribs tender(good sauce). Sausage tasty. So many different choices to name. Price $45 per. That’s what you spend at local franchise steak restaurants, non-authentic Italian , with appetizer. This you will enjoy complete experience of food and atmosphere.
Food was very good. Some items were less seasoned than desired. The restaurant also ran out of plantains to help cleanse your palette between entrees. I suggest asking about dessert just to see the presentation. We ended up trying the citrus créme bulee, & it was amazing. Also sparkling water and spring water cost $5.25 per bottle.
We went to celebrate New Year’s Eve and could not have been any more pleased. We are repeat customers, but it has been awhile since our last visit! Now I remember why we love this place! Service was superb at our table, both by our waitress and the meat servers! The salad bar was to die for today, and the crusted prime rib and bacon wrapped chicken could not be beat any place! We took dessert home and look forward to it as well! Hats off to the Memphis crew for making our New Year’s Eve perfect!
We were skipped numerous time on certain types of meat. They would walk by not even stop then when we tried to get there attention they kept walking. The two taking care of the table for drinks and things were great but the others were horrible. I have been a repeat customer for years and this was by far my worst trip. That’s why I put I would not recommend to a friend and I will not be back.
I chose Texas de Brazil because of the variety of meat choices and the unlimited amount of food you can eat. I am happy to say that it did not disappoint! I took my boyfriend (it was his first time) and he absolutely loved it. The service was impeccable and really made the night all around better. Countless times we were asked if we preferred a certain meat and soon after that meat would be brought to us. I would definitely recommend Texas de Brazil for a date night, special occasion, or just a nice dinner out. Whether you want to get the salad bar (which is amazing) or the all you can eat meat menu, Texas de Brazil is a perfect restaurant.
Our favorite restaurant. Unfotunately, they seemed unprepared for the rush of lunch on Friday 12.29.17 especially with Iowa state fan volume. Service lacked usual excellence..had to chase down servers for water, meat, and the salad bar was out of dressing and other items. We love eating there and could tell they lacked apppropriate staff to handle the volume. We will be back because we know how good it normally is. To their credit even the hostesses and managers were clearing tables in an effort to handle the volume. Will think twice when events are bej ng held downtown but overall still a good experience.
Business takes me between Memphis, Nashville, Birmingham and Atlanta quite frequently and a guilty pleasure of mine is to splurge on one nice dinner every trip. I chose Texas de Brazil for a fun experience with my significant other and we both were highly anticipating a delicious salad bar spread and some fantastic selections of meats. What we received however was stale prosciutto, a sloppy salad bar, sushi with hardened rice, and every cut of meat, except for the top sirloin, tasted over-powerlingly of salt. I found myself waiting for refills of water instead of enjoying the meat. The service was fantastic and the aesthetic is always romantic and comfortable, however I would not spend $100 for a food experience worth half the price.
