I enjoyed everything up until the waiter brought out the check . Just a reminder , my husband dine here at least twice a month and we drive in from a town in Arkansas that is 2 hours away. This occasion was Fathers Day ! However, I was only able to leave the host a 10% tip. She looked disgusted and said as she looked away with even more disgusts " have a nice day" If her tone could kill we both would be dead. Even if you feel entitled to quote ... what you think your worth is , you should always be grateful . when we return, if we are seated in her area , I will ask for another server. I felt terrible!!!
This was a Father's Day and Birthday dinner since it fell on the same day. The waitress asked, how we would like our meat prepared. Well done, we said. We kept getting offered medium rare the whole visit. We finally got a couple of pieces of steaks well done and a some lamb chops well done. Several of the lamb chops tasted like a whole bunch of lemon pepper was poured on it. Our waitress was not attentive. We needed water and she would walk past the table and clearly could see that. We had to ask for refills. I do not like to ask for refills because I feel like that is part of the job. The same waitress was very attentive to the table next to us, refills given, and bread, etc. He was very disappointed with the service and food and this was a special day. I asked for bread after the initial basket and never received anymore.
This is the second visit this month for me and the service and food was awful both times. The June 5th visit they were out of A1 steak sauce for my brother. It was his birthday. The waiter was awesome that night. He kept apologizing for any inconvenience. He was very attentive and tried to correct the problem as quickly as possible and it was a busy night. I will not be returning. Too much money spent for poor service and to not receive the food asked.
My husband loved his Father’s Day lunch. It was beautiful and everything was very good. Severs did ver well also.
Always great food & great service.
We had a reservation but was able to get seated earlier. The food, atmosphere, and wait staff was excellent.
We were seated quickly and the hostess was very nice. Our waitress was prompt and friendly! Food tasted great. Perfect for an anniversary dinner.
Overall experience was great we loved it.
Texas de Brazil is our go-to for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Can't beat the service (especially from Abdul or Clay), and I love the sirloin they serve. Also, I wish I'd known long ago that they'll validate parking in one of the nearby garages [from their website 6/19/2021: Validated parking at the Peabody Place Tower Parking Garage located across the street from the restaurant at 110 Peabody Place. $1 for three hours with restaurant validation.] I spent $8-10 for parking in other garages/lots many times before learning that!
It was very uncomfortable due to the waiter kept ignoring us. It took him some time to acknowledge us. He was more occupied with holding long conversations then waiting on us. The hostess was very kind and courteous she accommodated us with another waiter . Hopefully next it will be better..
I will give them this time the benefit of the pandemic situation, but the place looks a bit neglected, at some spots, used to be on of my favorite restaurants. this time bathrooms were dirty and looking like not belonging to the restaurant style.
We got a reservation and even seeing multiple tables empty were were asked to wait 20 minutes so arriving early wont apply to get in until the time check your reservation time on the clock.
It was a lot of fun. The food was good but not a lot of variety unless you asked. The same four things came to our table until we asked the waitress for more of the other things. She did get us the other meats we asked for. I gave her the coupon and paid for the meal, only to realized that the coupon wasn't applied and I didn't realize that until I got in the car. My bad but also the servers bad for not applying the coupon that I showed her. She did get us a complimentary dessert because it was my birthday and wedding anniversary so that was nice.
We used to love going. Now post COVID, not sure I love a salad bar anymore. AC was out, so it was fairly warm. Staff was working like crazy to provide service though. Didn’t bring as much meat around as they used to. We had plenty to eat, just not the variety.
The AC was broken at the store. We paid $300 for food where the meat barely came out. We were celebrating, usually get give a small dessert with the meal but they refused to that again.
Most of the meat was overcooked only the top sirloin came out hot and medium rare. The salad bar was the shining star with one exeption the prosciutto, it was so hard it was inedible. Full menu wasnt available.
At $140.00 for my wife and i to have dinner it forces a $25 tip for a waitperson to bring you your beverage. Overall i was disappointed
SUPER SALTY MEAT. Only one gaucho brought over lightly salted meat, even though I asked several gauchos and the server. Be prepared for your fingers to swell, and your rings to get stuck!
You will never be disappointed by the service, food and ambience at at Texas de brazil!
My husband and I dined in this past Friday and the meat was really salty almost inedible, some cuts were charred black. I noticed several servers/kitchen people looking out at the tables while chewing on food, very unprofessional. I was very disappointed with the food.
Air was out and drinks were way too strong
The real star of the show is the meat. The salad buffet is weak. The side dishes brought to the table are okay. The meat selections were mostly good. Of the six I tried only one was really disappointing. Lacking flavor, and poorly cooked. The other meat selections were good.
Would recommend just for the experience, probably not so much because the food is awesome.
We had a great time. The food was delicious but the AC wasn’t working so it was quite hot inside. But we will go back again in the future!
There was not a lot of food being taken around. Long wait in between. Skewers were being emptied in full at certain tables and others of us kept having to ask to have food.
The servers barely came around with food.. the wait time between getting food was about 10 to 15 minutes each time. I feel like it was a waste of money. I will not be going back to Texas De Brazil!!!
Food and service was great. Floor was very slippery though. My main problem was that I tried to reserve a table for four but the website showed there was no table for four available until the next day so one of my children could not come which was a loss of about $60 to Texas de Brazil sales. Then I was upset because we showed up for our reservation and was seated at a table for four? Plus a lot of other tables were available as it was not as busy as I thought it would be. So I guess you need to get your website reservation system corrected as this costs you money.
It was our wedding anniversary, and we wanted a special evening. The people were not dressed according to protocol listed on Open Tables description, and it was very noisy. (They had on gym clothes, flip flops, and tennis shoes.) It was a glorified cafeteria. There was NO social distancing; tables were elbow to elbow.
The servers dripped juices as they served meat at our table making a slippery floor. The salad bar was well stocked, but there were no labels to identify each dish (neither was there a server or attendant near by). When we inquired about an item we were told that he didn’t know. 👎🏾
Great food and service. TdB is hard to beat for a night out with the wife!
Awesome experience, I had been before but it had been sometime ago. The food was exquisite, our waiter went above and beyond. Overall we loved it and would definitely recommend and will be going back soon
Food was amazing
Service could have been better
But overall a great experience
Had 70th birthday reservations for my father and scheduled 6:30 reservation. Headed Downtown in a reasonable timely manner and ended up being caught up in horrific traffic, blocked streets, and Redbirds game. With all these elements as well as parking and walking with my 70yr old father, less than 3 months out from knee surgery…my party ended up being about 20mins late for our reservation. The hostess with black, blunt cut hair very rudely let us know that we only had an hour and a half to eat because we were late for our reservation. I explained all of the factors of our tardiness only for her to say that, “Well we were technically suppose to give away your table after 15 mins anyway”. I didn’t argue with her because we were late so my family and I just accepted the time and proceeded with our dinner. With the dinner mood dampened by the “hostess”…We had an AMAZING waiter to change the atmosphere and lighten the mood. Forgot his name but he was a tall, dark West African man who was extremely polite, accommodating, and provided outstanding service!!! He totally made us forget about the previous mishap and allowed us to enjoy our dinner and celebrate the occasion as previously intended. Thanks so much to our waiter for saving the experience for our evening as we have never received such a rude hostess experience in the many times that we’ve visited Texas de Brazil. Needless to say, we were able to be there longer than the 1 hour 30 minute time limit we were given as the restaurant had plenty of open tables and space to accommodate other guests and not as “booked” as originally stated by the hostess. Hopefully they can get someone more polite to facilitate initial contact with guests.
Everything I great. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. However, we did not receive many meat op. Seemed as if our table got passed on alot
Was a good server made sure our water was always full
Our server, Courtney, was outstanding. She was friendly & super responsive. Our water & iced tea glasses stayed full!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Waiter was attentive
The service and food was outstanding can't wait to go back
First time back in 15 years and first time for our (college-age) children. They loved it! Food was spectacular and we had a wonderful time!
We enjoyed ourselves Immensely. Our server was amazing!!!
Meats were a bit tough. & not as much variety as I recalled from previous visit several years ago. Service excellent. Enjoyed overall experience.
Great anniversary date.
Extremely good food. Come hungry and prepared to eat!
As a Brazilian I’m VERY disappointed in the food. Pão de queijo tasted like an old sponge, black beans were salty. Our server Abdul and gaucho Vitor were the only redeeming quality of this establishment.
