Texas de Brazil - Memphis Ratings and Reviews
The meat was extremely salty. One of the gentlemen serving meat was very rude. We had gotten a to go cheese cake and the server said there were no more to go plastic utensils. This was our first visit and we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We were very unhappy with the overall dinning experience.
This was my first time visiting Texas de Brazil and it definitely won't be my last. We were celebrating my boyfriend's 30th birthday. They have everything you would need on the salad bar plus more, in fact you can almost get too full from just the salad bar to not enjoy all the meat; I know now for the next time. All of the meat coming to the table was absolutely delicious and they fried banana side is absolutely delicious.
Dined with reservations with family (kids ages 10-15). We were taken upstairs. Server was on point but service lacked when it came to getting the rounds of meat. It seems that upstairs doesn’t get as much attention as floor level does.
It appears that TdB has lost its flair to other more appealing restaurants in the downtown Memphis area. And they don’t really care.
Makes me not want to return....
This was mine and my husband's first "adult" night out since our son was born. Rachel was an incredible server, and she was quick to get us refills, suggestions, etc. The quality of the food was beyond incredible. We are recently new to the meat eating scene (been vegan for almost 4 years and decided to move on from it), but we were wowed by the selection and preparation of everything. Best date night/anniversary/Veteran's Day celebration out there!
The food was Sub-par compared to other locations. For example, the garlic mashed potatoes where very bland. and the meat did not have the proper seasoning. I will admit that they tried to be accommodating . Over all compared to the Addison Texas location there is a lot of improvement that needs to be made. In my opinion the chef In Memphis needs to take lessons from the chef in Addition.
First the meat service was horrible I had to ask for a manager and my server in separate occasions to make sure they came to my table. I sat there 20 minutes before someone serving meat came to our table. Next I was only give 20% off for Veterans Day vice they advertise 50%. The food was good but the experience did not match.
My wife and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary at Texas de brazil
The food could not have been better
The service was very good (from entrance to exit)
WE LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for making a special night better
I look forward to dinning with you again
I was celebrating my anniversary and the waiter dropped a large carving knife on our table, shattered my husbands glass full of water, and he had to remove glass from his finger. I had to insist on moving to another table instead of waiting for clean up and finally there was no compensation on our pricey bill.
The food was amazing. The service could have been better. When our red cards were down servers were still coming to serve meat. Also our mash potatoes and bananas were cold on the table and it took the waitress a while to replace them. Comparing it to a similar resturant with 5 star service, this one gets a 3
The service provided was exceptional. The waitress was very attentive and explained the options. The salad bar was delicious and had various selections. The mash potatoes were well-seasoned and creamy. The selection of meats were suitable. However, the meats were salty and lacked other flavors. Additionally, various meats were dry and overcooked.
The fod items item that I didn't care at all for was the mashed potatoes that are brought to the table. They we not only flavorless, but not the least bit of heat to them.
....Just remembered the Key Lime pie....sorry, thought this would be a home run....I love Key Lime Pie and it's almost always on my dessert list to find the best....doggonit...didn't even make the top ten. ON the other hand, my friends coconut thing with some kind of sauce was outstanding! The drink special on Saturday night...don't remember the name of it, looked something like a mojito ....sorry....you missed on this too. Other food was all good....service very good also.
All of the staff were very attentive.
The variety and quality of meats were first class.
The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the salad bar. The soups were barely warm. The "wide array" of olives consisted of green and black like any average salad bar. Nothing jumped out as anything special from the salad bar. It was not bad but again just average. For the price and the description on the web site I expected more.
All that said, I would eat here again due to the fabulous meats and the excellent staff.
I went two days ago to celebrate mine and my sisters birthdays. This was the first time I've ever eaten there. Nick was our waiter and he is easily in top 5 waiters that I have ever had that did a truly exceptional job. The food was just fantastic and the decor was beautiful. I do not have anything negative to say about my experience. It was well worth the drive and I cant wait to go again.
Texas de Brazil is one of my favorite places to eat in Memphis. We look forward to eating here every chance we get. My favorite things are the Lobster Bisque and getting the bread and goat cheese. This past visit was a little disappointing because of the bisque. It was not good . It had a very bitter taste, almost metallic. Hope its better next time. The rest was wonderful as usual. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. One bad bisque will not deter us from coming back though.
