Texas de Brazil - Huntsville
Here, traditions of Brazilian cooking blend with Texas hospitality to create a lively atmosphere in an upscale setting. Your meal begins with a visit to our extravagant salad area where you can indulge in a wide array of seasonal roasted vegetables, fresh artisan breads, charcuterie, imported cheeses and other specialties.
Then enjoy the rodizio-style dining that has made us famous. An endless parade of gaucho servers visits your table with skewers of freshly grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage carved directly onto your plate. It’s all served with authentic side dishes of garlic mashed potatoes, Brazilian cheese bread and sweet fried bananas.
To complement your meal, select from our award-winning collection of wines or traditional Brazilian bar creations. And don’t forget to treat yourself to one of our decadent à la carte desserts.
We usually eat at this location at least 2 times a month sometimes more. This last visit we were very disappointed. The waitress was very inattentive and spill a drink on my husband. He also had one of the metal trays dropped on him while eating. We had to keep asking for the gauchos because our table did not seem to get many to come out. We had to share water with the couple that was with us because they were drinking water and had no refill in over 30 minutes. We invited them to come so we were embarrassed about the service. Maybe it was an off night but it is hard to pay for the food which is delicious if you cannot get the gauchos to come out regularly.
Service was not good at all. Meat was really salty except for one or two cuts.
The first few times I have been to this restaurant, everything has been great. The services was fast and friendly. The food was great, and for the most part still is. I mean you can't mess up red meat at medium rare and salt. But this last time I went, by the time I was ready for my meat, it took forever to start getting any to my table. It took them about 5 minutes just to get me a clean plate for my meat and as soon as I got it, they gave me a piece of filet at medium well to well done. It was tough and dry so probably got a requested piece they were just trying to give away. Never let me know though if it was. Then it was another 10 minutes before I got anything else. Had to let a manager know just to start getting some more brought to my table. I looked over at the bar and noticed the servers that serve the meat were all over there constantly. And would always skip me. About an hour later waiting on meat I finally gave up and decided to leave. Yeah for the first time I left and didn't completely fill up on food. AND was still charged full price after complaining and everything. Oh also noticed rating was at an 84 so won't be going back to this location.
We enjoyed eating here for our Birthdays !
The staff was friendly and good was fabulous. My favorite was the bacon wrapped fillet mignon. My husband loved the ribs
It was ok had some employee getting ugly with one of the owner/manager saying he wanted his money/check in front of everyone waiting to be seated.next to that sweet tea would be nice
The food was great and the hospitality was exceptional. Would recommend to any one that was wanting a great variety of food. It’s was a great experience
The food was excellent and a good variety. The people were very nice.
Great food and service!
Only complaint is the ridiculous policy that they have at bar for charging $3.50 for bread that you will get for Free at your table (unlimited quantities). They say it’s a Corporate policy. Well it is beyond Ridiculous to charge such if your are waiting at the bar with current reservation for that evening, with pager in hand. Of course when I questioned to the manager they appeased and removed from my check.
Please Corporate management, change this immediately!!
Great atmosphere, great food, overall a wonderful experience.
The restaurant was busier than it has been at any night that I've been. Service was good but very busy so everything was fairly slow. Food was also very good, as always, but Gaucho's were extremely busy. For the first time that I am aware, a couple of gaucho's had shrimp. We requested a serving but it never came around. Not to worry, we will be back soon for sure!
We’re almost regulars at TdB. This trip however, was not up to par. Perhaps the floor staff was short a few folks, or the kitchen crew, or both.
Our waiter was absent on 2 of the 3 times we needed him. Our glasses were empty twice.
The lamb was excellent, as usual. The beef was perfect as well. The only issue was availability. We waited nearly 20 minutes for lamb and only saw the flank steak once the entire visit.
We’ll go back. TdB is still one if our favorite places. They are better than our last visit - I hope it’s not the new “norm”. TdB usually shines, not so this time.
I love this place! We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. We will definitely be back again.
Our waiter was great!!! The cowboys serving the meats were awesome very accommodating. The food was delicious. Just a suggestion for people that's on low sodium diets can you make meats not as highly seasoned?
We had a great meal at Texas de Brazil. Highly recommended for people who love meat. My only complaint is that we went for a late lunch (2:45) and were charged the dinner price.
We really enjoyed our dining experience. Our Server did a great job!
I requested medium well meat to 3 different people and never had any brought over to the table. While I was fixing my third salad plate, because I didn’t get any meat, I over heard the staff fussing about one person at the table requesting something different. I probably will not be back due to the rudeness of the conversation that could be heard by anyone who was at the salad bar.
I had the privilege to enjoy your establishment last Saturday night and the food was great along with the staff.
Fun evening celebrating daughters graduation
Overall a great experience
A little pricey but definitely worth a special occasion
The food is good but the servers who bring meat dropped a whole skewer of meat on our friend and she had grease all over her clothes. We didn’t tell a manager because we didn’t want to make a scene.
Loved the food. It never disappoints and I love bringing people to the restaurant. I lived in Brazil for 2 years and everything from the black beans and rice to the passion fruit pudding takes me back. Our waitress was a little nonexistent for it being lunchtime and not very crowded but none the less she was very nice and helpful.
Great service. Our only complaint would be that we could not use all the funds on our gift cards to give grutity to our server and are left with funds that we’ll probably never use.
Excellent service. The meal was excellent!
We have been to this establishment 3 times in the last two years. The past two visits I would have given it 5 stars. This last visit though was a bit of a disappointment. In the previous two visits there was no shortage of meat varieties being brought around to the tables. This last visit, we almost had to flag down the servers in order to get them to our table. We watched as time and time again the meat servers skipped our table or ran out well before making it to our table. We also observed that on multiple occasions the servers hanging out in the kitchen joking around and not a single server was out in the restaurant serving a meat variation. Although we enjoy the experience of a Texas da Brazil, we will probably skip it next time because it took too much effort to get served.
The quality and taste of the food was really good. The problem with the Huntsville location is the service. They do not bring the food around very fast and eventually they quit bringing it all together, even after the waiter asks if there is anything else we would like. This has never happened at the Memphis or Birmingham locations.
Food was delicious, server was friendly and attentive, cold bar was well-stocked, gaucho service was very slow.
We booked a late arrival because it was a large group and not sure of availability on a Friday night. We were seated immediately and everything was perfect for my daughters graduation dinner. The house sirloin and the beef rib are a must try!! Tender melt in your mouth type of experience. The key lime pie was a dream great balance.
Everyone very knowledgeable and professional.
From hostess ( knowledgeable helpful) to manager (friendly) pleasant experience. Great servers, very informed, no rushing, prompt and courteous
(Need I say more?!)
A great spot for a celebration even for a vegetarian dining with carnivores.
Always love going to Texas de Brazil. This visit was to celebrate my sons Birthday. We were seated for the first time ever in front of the restaurant in between the soup bar and the bar area. Also next to us was a table of 5 who were obnoxiously loud. In the future we will ask to be seated elsewhere. When we arrived it was not that busy and am unsure why seated there. Also there were less servers than usual and it did not seem that they frequent the front as much as the rest of the room. Not our best experience here, but we still love the food. The staff is always friendly, they just appeared to be short handed.
The food and service was impeccable! We took our son for his college graduation, and we had a large group. From rare steak to shrimp the server went out of his way to make sure our needs were met.
Definitely a unique experience. Value for the variety of meats and the huge selection at the “salad bar” is comprable. Has reservation early Tuesday night and it wasn’t crowded. The food kept coming out at a good pace and was tender, moist and delicious. Highly recommend the beef ribs! Staff was professional and helpful with recommendations for the pairing of sauces to meats. Definitely will go back again. There were something’s I didn’t care for but that’s just my taste-all the food was good (beef ribs were out of this world!).
Our waiter, Joey, and the gauchos made certain that we had a wonderful dinner and a great time. We bought the VIP pass and are very glad that we did
We have been to our home location (Birmingham) many times and this location (Huntsville) twice now. Our dining experiences have been great in the past, but this visit just wasn’t up to par, at all. We made reservations for 815, arrived at 730 to check in, shopped, then arrived back at 815 and were told it would still be a wait due to not having enough servers. There were empty tables we could see just from the sign in area. Once seated, our waitress was good, obviously busy and had too many tables, but good with what she had to work with. The problem we had was the servers who brought the meats around. I do not know if it was an issue with not having enough people working, but we were very unhappy with the amount of time between offering us meats at our table. We were seated beside the kitchen, where they ALL had to exit from, with their meats, but they rarely would stop at our table. I had to request with our server to have them come around. I even stopped a few myself as they were walking by. Our tokens were placed on the green side. I requested 2 certain meats that they have had circling around the restaurant on EVERY other visit we have ever made and this time, the server told me they didn’t prepare enough and they ran out. I do not think this is adequate service for such a nice restaurant. For the price we pay to dine here, this was subpar, at best! We had movie tickets purchased for a 935 movie and due to the lack of service from the meat servers and having to wait so long between meats, we were late to our movie. We were there for an hour and 25 minutes and had to leave before being offered desert. With every other visit we have ever made, to Birmingham and the one other visit to this Huntsville location, an hour is usually plenty if time for us to eat, drink and have desert! I am not happy with this service at all.
The service was slow and there was very little food brought out and when it was we had to ask for it. No variety in the meat, the same thing kept coming around.
Outstanding food and service for a celebration.
The waiter was very attentive and even brought out a complimentary cake for my mom's birthday. Also the staff made sure I was served plenty of filet mignon as I asked. Great experience all in all.
Was very pleased overall. Just wished they would put the price of the desserts on the menu. It looks like they are included in the price of the bar.
The food was very good, and the service excellent.
The food was way overpriced for what it was. We went to try the shrimp since it was a new addition to the menu, but the shrimp was not brought around to our table until we were finished eating. Big disappointment. We were offered 2 shrimp. That was all.
