Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Tex
Food was ok service was terrible
It just didn’t live up to the hype! We only were offered like 3 different types of meat :( Disappointing really!
We went there Friday night for our 21st anniversary and were very disappointed. We waited and waited for them to come around with some meat (our little discs were turned to green). We would see them go to other tables and be very generous and ignore us. By the time they finally came to ours, there was one piece of fillet left which we actually ended up splitting. By the end of the evening, we ended up with 3 pieces of meat each and a bill for over $130 (included one beer and two cocktails). Never again!
Took 30 mins to get the first cut, meat that did come was practically raw, not worth $50.
It was a neat experience, especially with the thought of different meats being offered, carved and plated “table side”. The atmosphere is laid back with a good blend of upscale and casual. Service from the wait staff was as to be expected from a choice establishment. However, the overall takeaway from the evening left a feeling of being underwhelmed. The meats offered were unappetizing at best. Understandably so as it is prepared “Brazilian style”. Meaning: lightly salted over an open flame. Think of cooking over a camp fire without any seasoning, and you’ll have something similar. The saving grace was the salad bar with the hot area. From the lobster bisque to the sides, and the antipasti... it was “spot on.” Ultimately, I am glad we went, but not in any hurry to return. “If” we do return, I will pass on the meats and go just for the salad/hot bar.
Food to salty:
Beans and meat
Nice Ambiance and service
My first experience here made me a believer that everyone should at least try a Brazilian steakhouse once! Food was excellent! Will come back again.
Love it! It's always our celebration restaurant . Cant wait until we can go again!
It had been over a year since we have dined atTexas Brazil, wow how things have changed. The waiters no longer d your table with meats, they barely came to the table at all, and when they did they were pushing the cheapest cuts, i.e, smoked sausage, chicken. what happened to the lamb chops, filet mignon, but, funny the price is still the same. The kicker was I ordered a glass of wine at $10 a glass, the waitress accidentally poured water into my wine glass as a water refill, she was very apologetic and took my wine glass to bring me another glass of wine, when i received it, approximately 30 minutes later, the glass was significantly less then i returned. The manager was so petty as to have saved my original's glass, and tell me that they poured more than i returned. Etiquette would have been to give me a full glass of wine at this ridiculousy overpriced fee from the beginning. Our guests ordered lemonade, and it took over 30 minutes to bring a bottle of store brand lemonade. We will not be returning or recommending Texas Brazil to anyone. Overpriced and lacks quality.
Service was fantastic, the food was excellent and well presented. I have no negative comments, would highly recommend. I would suggest to management that they offer more days of the week in which lunch specials are offered. Just Saturday does not meet everyone's work schedule.
Good time. Good place to celebrate:)
The major thing I didn't care for was (and this has happened every time I go there) the fact that you have a reservation and they make you wait an additional 15-20 minutes in the bar so you will buy drinks. The restaurant was about 10% of capacity each time. Just a little annoying.
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. It was one of the best dining experiences EVER! Our waiter, Hunter, was wonderful...made sure all needs were met. The manager came to our table to check on us as well. The food is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend Texas de Brazil...Huntsville. It is worth every penny!
The food was good when they brought it to you and wasnt burnt.
Amazing dinner. We had an incredible night. Everyone was wonderful. Our server Hunter was excellent. The food was delicious. Will definitely go back!
We went on a Wednesday night for my husband's birthday, so it was not very crowded. As a result, the servers came around frequently with a ton of food. We definitely got our money's worth out of the night, and it all tasted amazing. I just wish the waitress was more upfront with the price of extras. Deserts, alcoholic drinks, and liquor shots on the desert are extra. However, prices are not listed anywhere that we saw, and we were not told the prices when being offered the extras.
Impeccable service, food was perfectly prepared, and the wine was delightful.
Enjoyed our last visit, short wait time - everything fresh. Service was great!
This is my favorite restaurant. I've gone twice this week. The service is excellent and the food is wonderful.
Good food but generally poor service from a disinterested waiter. He was low in getting our drinks order and discard much for our needs during this visit. I had heard a lot about this restaurant but it was a big disappointment.
We will not be going back anytime in the near future. On last visit the service was terrible, this time it was having to wait over 25 mins past resv time to be seated. We were only seated then because we caught a manager. When we arrived (10 mins early), we were told we would be seated at 6:00pm or just after. At 15 past, we asked when we would be seated and was told we would be next. While waiting, my wife spoke with another couple who stated that their reservation was for 5:45 and they were still waiting. After 4 groups were seated we tracked down the manager who said they were going as fast as possible, but Open Table was to blame because they over booked them. I stated that they should be telling people when they came in about the wait, he blamed the hostess for that. He finally seated us at a small table that hadn't been setup for use prior. It appears we had been pointed out to the servers since it was extremely improved from our last visit. This place is not worth my time or MONEY anymore when there are other places to go.
We had a 6 pm reservation and were not seated until 6:45 even though there were more than 10 tables empty and set for service. This is unusual for this restaurant but no one apologized nor offered any explanation.
My wife and I made a reservation for 6:00; however, we did not get seated until after 6:30. Although we love eating at TdB, what is the point of a reservation if a table if a table can not be accommodated at that time?
Hostess was rude. Had 545 reservation and did not get seated until 615. No wait staff greeted us. Asked for manager and Dave came over 5 minutes later. He personally waited on us as the restaurant was under staffed and over run with VIP card users. David apologized several times and waited on our party of six. Not the standard we were used to as we do frequent the restaurant quite a bit. Had to ask for meat and sides several times. Thank you to David for trying to make the evening better.
The service is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is lovely. This is my favorite restaurant. You can sit, eat and talk as long as you'd like to and no one bothers you.
Our waitress was wonderful! I can’t recall her name but she mentioned edge was a child psychology graduate student and she was from New Orleans. The food was outstanding especially the lamb and the flank steak.
Our waitress was outstanding. The food was okay, but I was looking forward to eating lamb chops and discovered that lamb chops was not served at lunch. My guest and I was very disappointed with management. We were the only people of color in the restaurant and the manager went to every table except ours until we brought it to his attention. I’ve been to the restaurant about eight times, but it was my guest first time and she was very disappointed. I hate from the bottom of my heart to face what appeared to be an act of racism. I understand that even in 2019 it is still real. Thank you!
We had the best server that we have ever experienced. Makenzi was attentive, understanding, and very helpful. The food was delicious as always, but the lamb chops are always our favorite. We even had dessert this time. The bananas foster cake was perfect and the Brazilian cheesecake was amazing. We always go to Texas de Brazil to celebrate because of the food, the service, and the ambiance. Highly recommend.
The lamb chops were especially tasty on this visit!
We have visited Texas de Brazil about 6 or 8 times a year since it opened. This visit was "just okay" -- not up to Brazil's usual standards. Our waiter was busy training a new person and we were virtually ignored after being seated. I finally asked for more rolls, which he forgot, but did bring when I reminded him. The salad bar was good -- as usual -- except the cold shrimp dish was mostly jalapenos and the shrimp were very tiny. The meat selection offered was not as varied as I'm used too -- but they seemed to be cooking a LOT of parmesan chicken. The picanha was good and up to Texas de Brazil's usual standards, but what other beef we were offered was mostly inedible -- the ribs were burned, as was the filet mignon -- rare on the inside, but burned on the outside. Overall, I'm wondering if maybe most of the "regular" workers had left and a new group of waiters and cooks was being trained. Our waiter and the manager were the only familiar faces we saw. It will be a while before we go back.
Food service was very disappointing. Several times servers walked by table without offering service. There were large gaps between food service times. We love the food but doubt we will be back.
Lots of food ... likes cruise ship ...notvtge greatest cuts of meats but plentiful...just un-exceptional
My wife and I went for her birthday dinner. Some quality time & nice food. Didn’t disappoint! Once again, had fantastic food!
Our waiter only needed to bring us drinks he kept blaming the bar we waited 25 minutes for drinks and then we had to ask someone else to get them Us 20 minutes to get some bread delivered to our table extremely poor service we only had a party of 4 people very disappointed
Very helpful staff and great food! We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner.
This place has been much better in the past. The service was extremely slow. The salad bar was very good. The meats were just fair at best.
Service was great but food was just OK for the price. Some meats were overlooked and most were very salty. The mashed potatoes brought to our table were cold. The house cocktail drinks were not good, too much lime juice. Price is too high for this type of food.
Food is okay, they nend to over cook the meat. Service can be slow. Don't go when they have the last two weeks of the VIP pass ( Mid-September). Not a cheap
date for two people .
I have dined frequently at this location. The food is consistently excellent and the variety is exceptional.
This is my 2nd email regarding my experience. First email was sent via the website, under Contact Us. I will not go into all the details since I have already explained it but I will list the issues:
1. No AC on a very hot and humid day. I had made reservations so I would have expected a call with a heads up regarding the issue so we could make alternate plans.
2. Poor Service- Party of 7, we were sat next to the kitchen!!!! Again, NO AC.
* I had to get the bartender to help with our drink order (20+ min).
* No side dishes until 30 min after we had already started to eat.
* From 6:15 till 7:45 when we closed our ticket my water glass was only filled once!!!!
* Waitress shows up twice to the table
* I had to go and ask for the gauchos to come to the table because 30 min into it, we were still waiting.
* No apologies, no offer of anything due to the heat. at least a water bottles should have been free or just leave the jug at the table!!
* one gaucho splatter meat juice on two of the people at the table... both gentleman were wearing light color Polo shirts... we got a sorry and that was it.
* I asked for Well done, never came.
* this was a birthday, not desert offer, no nothing!
- as I mentioned on my email, only bright spot was the bartender.. Never again.
