Texas de Brazil - Huntsville
Waited almost 40 minutes with reservation. After Salad bar could not get a gaucho to our table for 20 minutes took almost an hour to get a variety of meat. Table of 8 across from us had stacked dirty dishes for the entire time we were there. It was a bad experience.
I would recommend Huntsville but honestly I would tell them if they had the choice I would pick the one in Nashville instead.
20 minutes after we were seated, I flagged down a manager so say we hadn't had a waiter come by yet. The waitress finally came by. It took over 10 minutes for my daughter to get a Sprite to drink. Another 10 minutes passed before the 1st gaucho came by. The food was "good" but we only had about half the meat come by as in usual visits. Apparently they were not serving properly, another waiter flew by our table multiple times cussing about the gauchos. I had to flag down the waitress multiple times for water refills. At the end, she dumped all our food onto a serving tray into a pile & stacked our plates up on top - it was not a pleasant sight. My daughter wanted dessert, I told her we would get dessert from somewhere else. We complained to management & all we got was "I'm sorry you feel this way." Very disappointed after spending what we did on dinner. We have been multiple times (so we know how the restaurant works) and each time has gotten worse. I do not think we will be back anytime soon.
Definitely for meat lovers. Our server wasn’t the most attentive, but overall a good experience.
I really enjoyed my dinner here. My only complaint would be that we must have showed up a little early. Some of the cuts of meat we came to dinner instead of lunch for really didn't come around often until after we had already been at the restaurant over an hour. By that point gauchos were taking meat around and not even looking towards our table. Aside from that it was the usual top quality we have come to expect.
First time. Salad bar was great; meats were even better. Wish I had two stomachs to try all the meats and justify the price. It was pricy, but I can understand why. I took my 15 year old daughter for her birthday; she enjoyed it, but is not much of a meat eater. Definitely going back with my wife and with an appetite.
The Service was not good. She was not attentive at all, we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. Our table was often missed when waiting for the meat to come by. Very poor quality service and would not recommend
Service is normally exceptional but it seemed we were bothering our waitress this time. Also the food was a little slow to come around. This has been the case the last few times we’ve been for some reason. The food runners are always so friendly and great around the kids.
Me and my family experienced the best meal ever. The food was great along with great service. I recommend everyone going at least once. Bit you will go again if you go once.
Excellent food options, fun to taste several differing meats during a single dining experience, very good salad bar, friendly and respectful staff
Bartender was poor, wasted time and left bar to chat and collect tip instead of serving our party. I ordered a beer and didn't get it for 25 mins. Wait staff and servers were awesome and made up for poor bartender.
My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at Texas de Brazil and it was absolutely awesome. Salad bar was fantastic with a wide variety of items that you don't see on a traditional salad bar. Hot bar was amazing and the meats were presented well and just melted in our mouths. To quote my husband, " this is what a restaurant in heaven is like". Service was excellent and the runners were so personable and friendly. It was our first time to dine there, but certainly will not be our last.
Beyond disappointed with our Father's Day reservation. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation, and were seated 30 minutes late. When dining with a 2 year old we try to be close to on time, but expect to be seated much closer to our reservation time. The manager at the host stand seemed unsympathetic even though there were many tables open. Once seated we enjoyed the salad bar and that went well. Our server had so many tables that she rarely came by to pick up plates and refill glasses. Each time she was apologetic but I think she really just had too many guests to give great service to everyone. Once we started the meat course right away we had 3 people come by with different meats. After that we had a break, which was fine. Our server came by and asked if the food was coming out fast enough for us and we told her it had been a little while and she offered to send some our way. 20 minutes later with no gauchos coming anywhere near our table, or our server for that matter, I went to find her. She said she'd speak to the manager and correct the situation. Another 10 minutes passed and at this point we had been there over an hour with maybe 5 meat offerings. Our 2 year old had, had enough and so had we. We asked our server for the check. She did sent over a manager who was nice enough to take 20% off our bill, but it really wasn't enough given the amount of food we received. But my husband was disappointed enough that he just wanted to go. We've had bad service here before but my husband enjoys the taste of the meat and how it's cooked, but this was our last time. The managers and staff were not equip to handle a busy Father's Day even though they were advertising being a great option for Father's Day. We will choose better for next year.
First time ever at a Brazilian steakhouse, first of all OH MY GOD! Great food, with outstanding service. The salad bar was all quality and original. We will be back for sure.
We were disappointed in the service today. Usually it is very good, however our head server was very smug and not very helpful. Acted as if we were putting him out if we asked for something. Maybe he was just having a bad day.
Also since it was busy and we were in the back, when the gauchos arrived, there usually wasn't enough meat for the table.
Hopefully this type of service won't continue as Texas de Brazil is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntsville.
We came to Texas de Brazil- Huntsville to celebrate Father's Day. We have eaten at the location in Birmingham on many occasions and have always loved everything however, the Huntsville location was sub par at best. Our serve staff was very slow and forgetful on bringing items, the gauchos ignored us (we were at a table in the corner) for the most part, and the management never checked on us which is something I have come to expect visiting the Birmingham location. If this was my first experience with this franchise, it would be my last. I could not recommend this location.
For the price you pay the service was terrible . We had to ask for several items , bread , refills etc. We waited for over an hour for a meat we had asked for , it was not at all with the price we paid . Unfortunately we left HUNGRY !
We went on Father’s Day and really enjoyed it.
Had a great time , waited 5-7 minutes to be seated and Weiss reservations , we also had an attentive server and the wine is great. The food options were extensive . Would go again.
Our server was great but that’s it. For the price of the dinner, the meat servers came out to slow. 4 out of 7 or so of the meats were over cooked and dry. I will not be returning.
Food and service was excellent, the bathroom however was disgusting
We had dinner here to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint . Our server, Joey, made us feel very welcomed and acknowledged our celebration. He went beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The gauchos were very attentive and paid attention to our disc colors. I would highly recommend!
Food was amazing! Shrimp, filet mignon and bacon wrapped chicken were my favorites. We went the night before Father’s Day so it was understandably busy but our waitress wasn’t very attentive. We didn’t see her very often compared to the waitress at the table next to us. Other than that everything was great.
I love this place. Been going for 4 years. Whenever i want to treat myself or a friend this is my go to place. Had some friends down from chicago and they loved it. It's a great value and the food is amazing. I will always recommend them.
Food was not great. For the amount you pay per person it is not worth it.
Every time we have an amazing experience. Joshua is the best server!!!!
Absolutely delicious food and LOTS of it. If you walk out of there hungry, it's your own fault! Both the salad buffet and meats brought to your table are of very high quality. It doesn't tend to be a very intimate dining experience due to the open nature of most of the restaurant seating, but the food distracts you from that. The Brazilian bread and fried bananas perfectly complement the meats.
Usually pretty balanced with the meat gauchos coming around to the table. But this visit we had to ask our server to get the gauchos to our table, in some cases the meat was cold by the time they came by and the same meat ( lamb chops) everytime. When initially seated it took about 8 minutes for the manager to see that a server had not come by yet. The salad bar was delicious however, with the little bit of meat that we had eaten it still cost a fortune for mostly salad bar items. I was disappointed this time.
Food was excellent. Service was good but plates were not cleared promptly. Otherwise service was friendly and courteous
Overall a memorable dining experience. Great service, Great food.
The perfect way to celebrate our 32nd Anniversary! Fun and delicious!!
Expensive but fun
It was my first time there and I really enjoyed it. It was my birthday and they really took care of me. I would definitely go again.
Wonderful dinning experience. Delicious food and excellent service. Although if you eat like a bird probably not a good value for you. Go with an appetite for meat cooked to perfection!
Over the top salad bar ... lots to choose from. Insane meat selection. Zoe gave us good service. Hard to eat $50 worth tho.
Very expensive for the quality of food provided. Prices had greatly increased since last visit
Food was amazing. Only thing was the meats came to table so quickly and nonstop, barely able to take a bite, I felt hurried.
The food was OK, but not as good as our last trip. The food (steak) service to the table was slower this time. Our waiter was not what up to par with our last visit. I had two servings of steak before my potatoes and bananas were brought out. We had to ask for drink refills constantly. We had to ask four times for clarification on gluten content of a dessert. If this is going to be the level of service going forward, I will not return.
The food was awesome, the service outstanding, but it was a little too dark. The cost for two, $98.00. Try to get all the various meats, sides and salad for that anywhere else. My wife and I will now be regulars. I recommend going during happy hour.
