The standards of service has declined. I used to love this place but won’t be heading back anytime soon. From the start, we sat there without meat, watching the meat pass us by. It wasn’t until we asked for meat that anyone came by. The table next to us received two full skewers of lamb chops-so I requested lamb from the waiter. About 10 mins later, the same guy came out with two more fresh skewers of lamb chops and went straight to the same table that just had the lamb chops- that same table took all the lamb chops, again. There were four at that table-we were six. We had to wait another 10 mins for lamb once we requested it. By then, it didn’t matter. We just wanted to leave because we filled up on salad and bread.
The service is hit or miss. Some times you get an excellent had server, sometimes not. We did finds there to be big gaps in the meat service. For 15-20 minutes at a stretch there would be no roving meat. Then a couple would appear, then nothing, then an over whelming amount. It seemed to us they could stagger it a bit, or at least have each server go in a different pattern rather than just follow each other table to table.
Food was well prepared and not overly salted as I have experienced in the past. It was nice to see the salad bar open again! I was not impressed with the unnecessary addition of fries as a complimentary side. Seems like an effort to try to fill customers’ stomachs with cheaper food items amid increased prices. The service by our main server was spotty with infrequent water fill-ups and a very long wait for the bill.
amazing as always! Brunch time was busy as usual but service did not miss a beat.
Server and managers were very helpful.
Texas de Brazil is such a wonderful experience! The staff is so friendly and always there within minutes when you're ready for more meat. Tasty drinks and sides really bring it all together. Definitely a special occasion type place since the bill is likely to run you pretty high. Worth it in my opinion but only every once in awhile
Great service, good food
Truly fulfilling !
We had an overall decent experience. Seated promptly and the gloves and sanitizer for the patrons at the buffet were nice. Our server was excellent and often went above and beyond. e.g. When asked for hotter coffee she brought a hot new cup and offered hot milk.
The food was somewhat disappointing because everything was way too salty. We eat at Texas dB regularly, so we are familiar with their seasoning and know that there is a swing in how salty the meats may come out. When we went there this past Thanksgiving, everything was sublime- tasty and seasoned perfectly. This time, everything was so salty that we could barely eat it and noticed that our 2 guests who do enjoy meats ate no more than 2 -3 slices total and then filled up on the salad bar.
We are by no means people who like our foods bland. None of our more than a dozen other TdB experiences approximated this one in terms of how over-the-top salty everything was. Hopefully, this was a one-off. If the food continues to be this way, we will not wish to return.
We told the server, Sonia, we preferred medium well, but we kept receiving medium or rare. Sonia was great and attended us the best she could! After a while, the servers just stopped coming to our table offering any meats. We kept receiving the same garlic steak, but wanted to try other ones as well. It was a good 20-30 minutes that we had no meat served to us. They should be mindful of people’s preferences of meat and not just abandon their customers. The only reason we came to this location is because the DC one closed, but never again.
Went after a high school graduation. Food was delicious however, we had to put an APB out for our server a couple of times.
We wanted medium well, but kept offering rare.
All the staff were unfriendly.
When serving the meat, the blood of the meat splashed on the clothes and had to be washed.
I wish people were wearing masks to the restroom but not much we can do about it.
The food was amazing, as always. The service was also excellent.
Absolutely delicious and incredible service! Made the birthdays feel extra special
Almost ten minutes in between each time to have somebody to serve us and each time of course is a very small peace’s like two bites, we kept asking them for lamb chops in two hours we spent there they only came twice, I think they just want us to eat what they want,,,
We were celebrating our 36th anniversary! The food was exceptional and service was very good!
Went for teenagers birthday and he definitely got our moneys worth. A little pricey but very good selection and would recommend for special occasions. We saw several other birthday as well as graduation parties.
Food was great! The atmosphere was very energetic, but a little loud. It was hard to have a conversation at the table. But it was a great evening with the family.
Our stay was awesome the food great the service far and beyond any service we experience in a long time
The staff always treats me and my family like royalty. The guys quickly learn what kind of meat I like and keep the hits rolling. They are there to help me in my quest to eat ALL of the meat.
As always, TDB was fantastic. This particular one was echoey so hard to hear, but otherwise great!
went during lunch time. Service was great. Food was great. The value for everything was fantastic.
So delicious! Make a reservation on the weekend. The mashed potatoes and banana are delectable. Don’t over do it on the salad bar. Skip the fries. Share a dessert. Be prepared to take your time.
It was great! It was my wife's birthday and really enjoyed herself. The thing that was not up to par was that the face mask and gloves rules were not enforced. We saw several people go up and get there food off the salad with no mask or gloves. The staff did not say anything. Other then that, it was great!!
We had reservations but still had to wait longer than usual for our table.
We had to ask them to send our table of 6, meats and chicken. No one had come by after we had set our plates with sides. After we had already paid, they brought over beef ribs which wasn’t offered the entire meal. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. One of the guys that brought our table spicy sirloin couldn’t explain how spicy it was to one of the guests at the table.
Our server was good. The drinks were great. Zero options for children. Other establishments in Tysons area are a better choice.
Terrible quality of service, unprepared employees. I believe that a restaurant is always a gastronomic experience. I was frustrated with the service.
My favorite date night place
Amazing as always! My wife and I go to Texas de Brazil every year for our anniversary and it’s such a great place for some really tasty and savory food! The service is 5-Star impeccable and the entire ambience and atmosphere is just so welcoming! Never a terrible experience! Thank you all for such a wonderful experience!
Service was great; meats were a little under seasoned (and chicken and pork were a little dry). Buffet food was spectacular.
We really enjoyed the evening at Texas de Brazil!!!
The only complain we had was the air conditioning being super cold.
Waitress was excellent lilly very attentive with us
Come hungry. It's $50/person plus beverages/deserts, etc. We really enjoyed it, but very pricey.
Bad service, burnt food, rushed service...the most could go on...won’t be back.
Wonderful food. Constant parade of servers, great value! Manager greeted every table in our section except for us. I would hate to think that it was because we were the only African American guests in the section but I can't imagine what else it could have been.
Add more variety to salad bar
Buffet needs to be changed
We were sat at a table against the wall near the opening to the food area/meat cutters coming in and out/sign that said do not enter. So it was very distracting to have servers constantly going behind us to get to the meat distribution area. Also coming out from behind us with the meat and knives. With all that, there were long gaps of time for the meat servers to stop by our table. When we asked for medium rare, I would say 90% of the time, it was either rare or medium/medium well. Our server was extremely slow. We were often without water. When we asked for more Spring Water, it would take at least 15 minutes for her to come back with water. She gave us one bottle to split between 6 people. Towards the end, I asked for another bottle just so we wouldn’t have to wait so long. I tried to get the attention of multiple workers and made eye contact but no one bothered to ask if I needed anything and of course I didn’t want to yell for someone to pay attention. We had dirty dishes on the table from the salad bar and our soup bowls. We started to stack them up at the ends of the table so they would be out of the way. At one point, I placed my clean plate on top of my dirty one because of no room. The only time the server paid close attention to us was when she gave me the bill and stood next to me while I was trying to filling out the tip and total. When it got to the survey part, I didn’t want to answer because she was still right next to me. I felt uncomfortable rating her honestly with her being right there. My husband and I were going to take my In-Laws there while they are in town bit not sure after this experience. The people I invited there for our kids graduation dinner last night was their first time there. They were excited about going too because I told them how good it was when we went there before. It was disappointing to say the least.
Initially we had only one round of meats, then we had like 30 mins with no one coming to our table at all despite having the card on the table on the green side. We had to ask the waitress multiple time until we spoke to the manager and then they started to come to out table again
Excellent food and impeccable service. Staff is friendly and engaging without hovering. Fantastic food and experience all around.
Nearly impossible to hear yourself let alone the other person at the table talking. They had what sounds like dance/techno music playing very loud. Hard to concentrate. Could not wait to leave which is probably what they want so they can get people in and out as quickly as possible. The salad bar was okay and they were stingy with the meat. Kept on bringing the meat I repeatedly told them I did not want. Usually ended with a very fatty piece of meat. Sadly, I will not be returning to this establishment.
