Texas de Brazil - Fairfax
Here, traditions of Brazilian cooking blend with Texas hospitality to create a lively atmosphere in an upscale setting. Your meal begins with a visit to our extravagant salad area where you can indulge in a wide array of seasonal roasted vegetables, fresh artisan breads, charcuterie, imported cheeses and other specialties.
Then enjoy the rodizio-style dining that has made us famous. An endless parade of gaucho servers visits your table with skewers of freshly grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage carved directly onto your plate. It’s all served with authentic side dishes of garlic mashed potatoes, Brazilian cheese bread and sweet fried bananas.
To complement your meal, select from our award-winning collection of wines or traditional Brazilian bar creations. And don’t forget to treat yourself to one of our decadent à la carte desserts.
The salad bar was good. The meat was much too salty but cooked well. It was difficult to get the server's attention. Removing used plates, drink orders, request for the check, and payment of the check took much too long.
Food is delicious and would recommend coming to friends and family’s had my wedding dinner there my family love it.
This was our favorite restaurant but the quality of their service has significantly gone down.
The servers were cranky and we were ignored most of the time. They didn't seem too pleased when we ocassionally would ask for drink refills or anything for that matter (should we even ask to replenish a glass of water or iced tea?). They would seem annoyed when we called their attention.
We didn't feel the old charm of the place this time. It is definitely gone.
I found a hair in the salad. I told our waiter, but I never saw anybody switch it out.
Made reservations 3 weeks in advance through Open Table. When we arrived, they put us on a wait list. Waited at least 45 minutes and said we were going to leave. They immediately found a table. Totally unacceptable. On top of that - the food is very good but not great. The selection is a buffet style which is good but certainly not worth the price. And, the service, at best, was average. Probably will not return and certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.
Service was great and the meats & salad bar were very good as usual.
Good food but service could be better!
1. Don't go in a rush. Even with reservation you may have to wait a bit before being seated.
2. Go hungry. Very hungry... Hungarian!
3. Do balance between the delicious choices in the salad bar and the relentless meats they keep bringing to you.
4. This place is noisy. Don't expect to have a long chat unless you want a sore throat.
First time there great service and food was great
I enjoyed the way we were provided with service. Each time we had our card flipped to green (ready to eat more) servers were coming by the table filling our plates. When we requested specific degrees of doneness they were also on point. My only wish is that they had a larger beer menu, that being IPAs. Enjoyable time as always!
Me and my wife always have a hood time when we come to texas de brazil. I am also so thankful that theu support veterans, we will be back for sure.
Simply, amazing
Reservation was on time. It took over 20 minutes to get a glass of wine and 30 minutes for iced tea and 1 refill after meal was over only after asking. We had to move stacks of dirty plates so waitress could sit dessert tray on table . Dessert was brought to table without silverware. Waitress left dirty Xerox copy of wine list on table. The waitress spoke to us in a tone like we were getting on a ride at Six Flags.
Food was cooked perfectly, but position of our table behind computer station seemed to hamper meat waiters from noticing us.
We never saw a manager near our table.
Fair experience, great food. A few months ago we had about the same experience, but the meats were so salty there were almost inedible.
The waitress, the meat carvers, and host were very nice. If I were to come back, it would be for service. However, the food was good, but lacking. Some of the meats were a little dry, making it hard to enjoy. And while there was a a good amount of hot options, the salad bar lacked options compared to another Brazilian Steakhouse I had been to last month.
Depending on when you choose to dine-in service might not be so great. I had a reservation and still had to wait 15 mins to get seated. Our waiter wasn’t attentive and we had to ask for things twice. If you choose to dine here you should opt for lunch as it’s less busy.
It looked like they added tables because of Valentines Day. Tables were to close and to pass without bumping into others sitting at their tables.
Had fun... this place never fails!
It was my second experience with Brasilien bbq and I totally love it!!
The best experience thanks!!! Texas de Brasil your are the best!!!
Fantastic food! A great place for a celebration. We already have our next reservations there.
I had all the meats I wanted. The staff were very efficient in getting all the meats around so we could try everything. I arrived a little late but still accommodated me and I appreciated that.

the food, the service and the waiter was fantastic.
Amazing as always
It's the rodízio experience. Eat delicious meat until you can't eat anymore. You're taste buds will be satiated here.
This is a special event restaurant for me and I only go a few times a year. Usually the dinner service is excellent and you have a team that makes sure that beverages are refilled, plates removed and table is kept supplied and clean...this didn't happen on my last visit.
The food was fantastic, the selection was great and if you left hungry or unsatisfied - only you are to blame.
For the price of the meal, the service should have been better but I will try again on the next birthday or anniversary to see if improved.
Definitely will recommend this place. Food was amazing.
This is by far a great restaurant. We never had an empty glass or plate.
Food and service were outstanding.
Hostess was good. I don’t think she was very confident.
Wish they would've informed us that dessert is nit part of the buffet and charged differently before we ordered. Otherwise, food is good!
I took my boyfriend here for us birthday and the experience was wonderful. The staff were very attentive and quick with their service, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed our dining experience and we both look forward to coming again in the future
Internet was down, could not use gift card that we intended on using. Felt rushed. Meat was to salty peppery
It was awesome I loved the food and their salad bar it’s like paradise ... love it
It took a long time to get meat . Seems request fir well done near takes longer . I to ask twice fir the status as we had been there over 30 minutes and nonone came by. Very slow .
Texas de Brazil is our favorite among the Brazilian BBQ restaurants in the DC area. The meats are prepared with the traditional salt rubbing used in southern Brazil, where the cooking style originates, and Texas de Brazil uses the same quantity of salt as is typical in that region. Some of the other Brazilian places use less salt, which reflects the taste in the metropolitan areas of Brazil -- Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. How much salt is to one's taste will likely determine which version you prefer. We also like Texas de Brazil's salad bar and sides best, particularly their new dish -- fish with coconut sauce. The service is always quick and friendly. The price for the meal is not cheap, but reasonable for both the quality and quantity.
Veronica was an excellent server. Very attentive. Immediate greeting upon entering. Good food and service.
Waiter was horrible. Asked for water, as in out the tap, and received a $12 bottle of water. Asked to split the check 3 ways and the check was not split evenly. One check was $80 more than the other. Went for my mother’s birthday and she was given a glass of cognac that was presented to as a birthday drink on the house but ended up being $10. I have been to other Brazillian steakhouses before and they were awesome. My experience at this particular one left a lot to be desired. I will not be returning.
The service was extremely slow.
We were celebrating my 2 year olds birthday. Although she was sleeping for most of the dinner, we had a great time. The food was amazing as always and we had an excellent server.
The food was great, especially the sirloin, dessert and Brazilian Beer. The service was wonderful.
