Texas de Brazil - Fairfax
Not sure where the breakdown was. With open table or restaurant.
I tried to make a reservation beginning at 530 and every 15 Min increment until the online system took 645. We get
to restaurant and it’s easily 75% empty. Staff said it had been all evening and the problem was online reservations was not working.
Excellent food Y.
I was not feeling well so I didn’t get to truly enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome and caring. My friend she enjoyed ever chew of her food. I can’t wait to come back so I can truly enjoy this awesome place.
Advance reservation didn’t work. Stayed one hour on the line to get a table.
Excellent and kind service. Very accommodating. Food was delicious as always
The meal and service was great up until we opened our take home dessert the next morning. We had family from out of town and my wife said your Brazilian Cheesecake was to die for, so we ordered three to take home. My son had one that night and loved it. The next morning when my wife went to have hers she was surprised by the chocolate cake that was in the box; More surprised when she opened the other box to find the same thing. Not very happy with receiving only one piece of cheesecake when we ordered three. The establishment is not very close to us and my wife and family member had to leave the next afternoon, so there was no way to go back. I did not think I would have to open the dessert boxes to ensure the staff got the order correct. HIGHLY disappointed with that part of our experience. Everything else was great, but not the way we wanted it to end.
The Lobster Bisque is fantastic, but wait until you sink yout teeth into the Lamb Chops. They are phenomenal, especially when cooked rare! Great service, great atmosphere, and great food is a guarantee. Truly appreciate how they offered a 50% discount to us Veterans for Veteran's Day. Thanks Texas de Brazil...for everything!
The food is so awesome and worth every cent. Pace yourself or you will be full in 10 minutes,
Try the Cream of Jalapeno soup!! They only have it in weekdays for lunch....Yum!
Great place to celebrate with a group and enjoy a long lingering dinner.
Great for big time meat lovers. Very limited and poor value for others. That's fine but it makes for expensive salads when catering for the whole family. Go understanding this and you won't be disappointed
The food is always delicious and wait staff is very attentive. If you are waiting for a particular cut of meat they are quick to send it to your table. Always enjoy coming here and leaving stuffed.
Friendly, clean restaurant, delicious food and the wait between services is minimal. Highly recommended
I loved the food and the service I would definitely come again.
All the food tasted the same. Poor explanation of what to expect(our first time) we were not told that every beverage you order you have to pay for usually drinks are unlimited refills on cokes etc. our waitress didn’t speak English well and accent was heavy and it was too noisy to understand everything. No menu except if you wanted beer/wine. The gauchos were annoyed with us because we kept asking what the meat was because we couldn’t hear them either so at one point they said very plain and loud for us to hear “would you like to have the meat menu? “ as if they got tired of us asking! Most likely will not go back and spend $130 bucks on a meal! Totally not worth that price at all! Save your money and go up the street to Freddie’s... chances are you will have a better meal for 100 bucks cheaper!
Good as always
We won't be going back to Texas de Brazil. The hostesses were snooty. We waited almost 15 minutes for the waiter to come by. With the exception of their "special" top sirloin, all the other cuts of beef were very tough & chewy. Their filet mignon was so full of gristle that it was hard to cut with a steak knife. I had to remove a bite from my mouth as I couldn't macerate it by chewing. Our bill worked out to be $64 per person with no alcohol or dessert. Okay, in all fairness, absent the beef, the other meats were good and the atmosphere was very nice & upscale. The salad and soup bar are exceptional. And although we didn't order wine, they have an excellent selection of wines. We really came in for the beef, which was a huge disappointment. So add a star to the above if you are more of a fan of chicken, lamb pork, or sausage.
First time eating here, chose this for my husband’s birthday dinner because he always saw ads in magazines. The food was good, but in my opinion could use more items on salad bar.
There were 6 of us on Friday evening at about 7:30 celebrating my son’s birthday. This was not our first time. The atmosphere is perfect, and the self service food bar is amazing. The problem was with service outside of that. We were bombarded with meats when we got there, then the service stopped. We were not finished eating, asked for specific meats, and got them about 30 min later. For the price, I would expect better service.
We went for my birthday well visiting Washington DC. The service was excellent. The food is always fantastic. The portions never fail to impress. The salad bar is my favorite. All in all a good time. A little expensive but a good time.
Excellent service and food. Waiters are friendly. A great variety of items on the Buffett.
We felt like a forgotten table for the gauchos. We grab what we could. I don’t get when the server ask you for your choice of dones of the meat. I prefer medium, medium rare, but if they give you rare or well done most of the time.
Still better then fogo de chao Tyson. For sure.
Great wait staff - food is always good and fresh. Love it!
First time here and the food was spectacular. Meats were very delicious and the specialty picanha was by far our favorite. Service just seemed a little slow when it came to dessert side but overall we a wonderful time.
Texas de Brazil was an excellent choice for a guys night out. All four of us enjoyed plate after plate of amazingly tender and flavorful cuts of meat and the salad bar selections were high-quality and provided a great variety to go with the main event. The filet mignon wrapped in bacon, the picanha, and the sausages were the favorite meat choices at the table (we didn't bother wasting room with trying the chicken, although it did look good when it went by). The BBQ ribs were just OK and you'd be better off getting those at a true BBQ place, rather than here.
The location itself was nice and the ambiance was appropriate for an evening out with the guys or a business dinner or a date night (if both partners really like eating lots of meat).
The only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review was the over-"attentiveness" of the server. It bordered on being pushy and distracting. Without any exaggeration I must have declined a 2nd cocktail at least 15 times. I know they make money off of the drinks, but they needed to get the hint that I didn't want any more booze and I felt like they were pressuring us to order more. At the end of the meal, they brought by comment cards and then waited right by the table for us to fill them out, reading them as they were collected. It made it uncomfortable to give honest feedback and again just seemed like we were being pressured. It wasn't like there weren't any empty tables and they needed to seat someone else, but a little bit of privacy would have been nice. They were good about bringing the meats by frequently and asking if there were specific varieties that we wanted, so I'll give them credit there.
I'll definitely go back, but I'll be prepared to tell the server that I only have one drink at a meal so that they don't needle me endlessly while I'm trying to eat my weight in steak.
We did not start our dinner until 7:30 pm. The servers are very anxious for us to eat more as they asked very often what we wanted to eat. I felt like being rush to finish and could not carry a conversation with my family while we were enjoying our dinner. Maybe it is good intent to serve, but can’t eat fast when one getting older!
Excellent food, great service, nice environment, all servers are polite
Au gratin potatoes were cold, lamb chops were tough. Server was ok till she got another table then we never saw her. She dropped off the check and then took 10 minutes to come get it to process it.
This is a great option for people who are on a Keto eating plan. It was my husband's birthday and this was his choice for his birthday meal. We came on a Tuesday evening and it was fairly quiet. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We would consider eating here again and we would recommend.
Great food, fast service, good drinks, salad bar was wonderful, especially the shrimp and potato salad, love the lamb as well,a little pricey lol
Great food. Great fun. Service was outstanding.
Great service, and excellent meat and said bar.. I almost always skip the salad, but too many good options.. we were asked several times if we wanted any specific meats to come and they always delivered
Have been a long time customer of this chain. This visit was less than stellar. Our party of 4 arrived at 6:15 and promptly seated. Server was immediately working with us and the noise level moderate. As restaurant got more busy, Noise was to a level that dinner conversation was impossible. Our server was fantastic however, the meat did not come around as often as usual and we went without for to long of a period. We were asked several time what we would like to have come around but it just did not happen. I believe that kitchen just could not keep up.
Great food service is good, though we did have to request some meats occasionally. However whenever we did the requested meats came out almost immediately.
This was my first time to a Brazilian grill. It was the greatest experience I've ever had a restaurant. Everything was outstanding, from the service to the incredible food.
Our server was fabulous, and knowledgeable, helpful and a great attitude... Thanks for our experience you put the cherry on top of my Birthday.
Our go-to place for dates and celebrations. We love coming here and this is the best Texas de Brazil in this region.
The selection of meats were not a lot compared to our previous experience. One was so tough and chewy (the picante) that all 4 of us had to spit it out and leave it on the plate. The servers keep coming around with the same selection that I had to ask if there was any lamb. The appetizer buffet was still good however.
