Texas de Brazil - Detroit Ratings and Reviews
Overall I like Texas de Brazil but this trip I was a little disappointed. The filet only came around once and I never saw it again. Also i asked for lamb chops and they didn’t come out until about 50 minutes later. But I asked a waiter if the filet would be coming around again and they told me yes but never again did I see it. It’s kinda the only meat I was looking forward to getting. On top of that, our table was so wobbly that every time I tried to cut my meat, it would shake our drink and our dishes would move around as we were trying to eat. I didn’t want to make a fuss about it. When someone did see we were struggling with the table, all they said was “yeah it’s wobbly but it won’t brake so don’t worry” I mean this table top didn’t just move a little. It was like a fricken see-saw lol. But great staff. Hopefully the next visit will be a bit better! Also I hope they fix that dang table!
The only thing I did not like was the fact that my party had to wait almost an hour even though I had made a reservation for 8:15pm. There was hardly anywhere to sit in the waiting area, and we had to continuously ask how much longer we would have to wait. Once seated, everything went smoothly.
We enjoyed our dinner at Texas de Brazil. The salad bar was ok, I think it could be improved on by adding more choices and improving on the hot food choices. Six of us dined together and we all enjoyed the choices of meat that are brought to the table. They came around very often, there was no shortage of meat. Our server was a very nice young man, however he was very slow to bring drinks.
All in all we enjoyed ourselves and we will return in the future!
OK, I gave this 4 stars because it was very good. However, I am a very picky eater and most of the items on the salad bar was way to exotic for me. The meat was delicious, however again I am picky and prefer my meat med/well; this meat was md/rare, to rare. They did bring around a well done prime rib, but not until later in the meal. I will say the pork and the sausage were fantastic. I recommended this place to my friend who is much less picky than I am. I would only go back if it were with other people, but not on my own accord. However, I was glad I tried it.
Fabulous!!! From reception to seat a warm greetings, table manager provided descriptive details of the food and drink, and professionally managed our eleven person table!!! Every person complimented me on the restaurant selection. Thank you for making my entire group Smile.
Requested a decent table for my son's 17th birthday. I would have been better not requesting anything. A group of 5 was put next to the server pc, cut threw to buffet and on the other side was the of 1/2 wall was water server water station. All night servers were rubbing their rump that's right rump! on the back of both me and the person sitting next to me. When brought to assistant managers attention he tried defending the table location. Beware of your table location before you sit
We had a party of seven . It seemed as though it was to busy for our server and the entire staff .
The entire time we were there ( about 2 hours )
We had to call the servers that were carrying around the skewers to our table , it seemed as though I received about 10 ounces of meat for &45 a plate .
It was a very bad visit all around , we are very disappointed.
I'll stick to going to another Steakhouse for my special occasions.
Visited for my birthday with a coupon. Great value for the price. If a person isn't a meat eater, they could eat very well from the salad bar, which I had. Received a free dessert for birthday, and the service was excellent. One if our favorite places to go.
Made a reservation for a birthday. They told us that we would be seated shortly so we sat at the bar. It took us over an hour to be seated. What is the point of a reservation if they consistently seat people that walk in before us? The food was great but the fact that we had to wait a ridiculous amount of time after making a reservation to even be seated. Will not be returning due to this issue.
Wouldn't go back...started of bad and got worse. Had a 6:00 reservation didn't get seated until 7:00. Waitress took our drink order and 30 minutes into the meal brought our drinks. We then gave her a second order and it took just as long. Then the waiter came around with the meat skewers and touched my plate with the bottom of the skewer. Did he also touch the 20 plates before mine with the same skewer?
The overall experience was wonderful. I was a little concerned upon arrival because the Hostess was less than pleasant and basically ignored me for 5 minutes while I stood in front of her. I will chalk that up to our late reservation and her probably being very tired on a Saturday night. Beyond that, everything was 5 star.
I dined at Texas de Brazil for the first time for my birthday. The service was excellent and the food was delicious; the salad bar and the various meats. I indulged on food items that I would have never known to order because it wasn’t something I’d typically eat. So, the ability to try new cuisine was fun and exciting. Our server was also great. She made recommendations and even sent different meats to our table for us to try. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.
I really enjoyed myself when me and my fiance went this passed weekend. Even though we went for just a date and to hang with friends. One of the managers came around and asked us how was everything and my friend mentioned to him how our anniversary was 2 weeks ago they gave us a free dessert. I thought that was a really nice surprise and treat. The food was great so was the experience of everything. I will definitely go again. Its also really for people who LOVE meat, this is the place for them.
Food was great. Wine was good. The only poor thing about the place was the fact our waitress was horrible. If it wasn’t for the waitress beside us who was charming and outgoing, the score would’ve been lower. We ordered a bottle of wine and waited 40 minutes for the wine. Another 20 minutes for the check.
I have never been to a restaurant that is billed as a high end establishment that has a one person at a time restroom. Not only is it an insult having to stand in line for more that 15 minutes but when I finally got in the bathroom was filthy nasty. I will NEVER dine here nor will I ever suggest anyone be subjected to this. This should have been address in its inception.
My husband and I went to dinner here for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everyone that waited on us from the hostess to the wait staff wished us a happy anniversary. This felt so nice to be recognized this way. My husband's two favorites were the lamb chops and the flank steak. My were the flank steak and the pork loin. Overall, this was a great experience. I recommend our server, Ben. He made our evening even more special. Definitely a really good experience. A little pricey for me since I do not eat a lot at one time. But still a wonderful evening.
