Texas de Brazil - Detroit Ratings and Reviews
I have been to this location 3 times now and every time has been fantastic! Some advice... don't fill your plate up at the buffet because once the meat starts to come out you will run out of plate room very quick. Also make sure to make a reservation for any dinner time meals (on the weekend for my experience) as you will not get a seat otherwise.
AMAZING! I walked in and checked in with the host. (Reservation) The hostess politely told me I would be seated momentarily and invited me to the bar to have a drink for happy hour. Before I could even order a drink, my name was being called to be sat. When we sat down she explained quickly the theme and told us who are server was. The server came over and offered drinks for happy hour again! Lol. We immediately began eating and didn’t have to wait one moment for drinks, refills, the bill, our table to be cleared. The managers were walking around, checking on everything. The server made sure we tried everything we wanted to try, asking if we had any special requests. This was my second time there and beyond my best. There was a minor issue with the bill that was fixed quickly and without hesitation! I will definitely go back!
Really enjoyed all the various meat choices and the salad bar. Everything was very tasty and it had a very cozy atmosphere. The only complaint I have is that no one asked if we wanted to try the lamb chops so we had to ask for them. But I would definitely recommend it to others especially meat eaters.
We enjoyed it very much, a bit overwhelming in that Thur come so quickly with the food before I had a chance to say yes/no they were moving on. Also I did not get the med-well meats requested twice and my waiter assured me they would be coming around. BBQ brisket was advertised as a seasonal special, we never saw it until we we're eating dessert. It was not offered to us. That said what we did have was delicious
The service was great, but it took very long for the bar to prepare our drinks. The table was only seated for 6 people and not 8 people as the reservation said. So instead of having room at the table, it was crowded and it felt as if we were cluttered. Disappointed this time around with the service and the restaurant.
My husband took me out to dinner for my birthday. It was both our first time there. I loved the young lady with serviced us. Also the management was so friendly, hands on with customer service. My only complaint was the table it was to small, no room to move. It was right by the door way where the staff exit/enter with food. There barely was enough room to cover the food on the table. I didnt request to move or complain there because i didn’t want to wait for another table or be rude. The should be used for a person who dining ALONE. There was no room for me to open my gift either.
The manager was very helpful an Very good with the wines for what you want. The waitress was very prompt on getting table clean for next round of food an on point for keeping your drinks full. All in all its my new favorite place to eat for a special occasion. Keep up the good work to the manager, an to the rest of the staff.
I've been to Texas De Brazil in Detroit and other cities before, even been to a few Rodizio style restaurants in Brazil, but this was the best meal I have had. The restaurant has really stepped things up as the meats were more flavorful, lots of choices coming to your table a good pacing and so many more choices! I have not had really good Lamb in several years and gotten to the point where I didn't like it, but at this restaurant, it was my favorite of the night!
Our waitress Lupe was great! Very attentive to our needs and the rest of the staff was great too.
Even the manager came by our table and chatted with us a few times to get our opinion (which I gave). I am looking forward to our next visit as it won't be too long from now!
The restaurant was much too loud to have decent conversations with my guests. As the wait staff were coming around to serve the meats, grease was spilled multiple times on my coat sitting in the chair next to me. I had to go to the single restroom in the resturant to try and remove the stain because the lemon juice that I was given only made the stain worse. Overall, a poor experience, which is especially upsetting because of the occasion that we were in town for.
Never, ever get a 2:30 p.m. reservation because they will truly rush you through your meal. They shut down the restaurant to set up for dinner and unfortunately we were caught up in the madness. The wait staff were huddled glaring at us. Management did try to make amends by paying for our desserts and paying for our refills (there are no free refills). All in all I would recommend this restaurant.....just come earlier or much later than 2:30 p.m.
The waitress was very poor, hardly even came to our table to see if we needed anything.
When we asked her for a certain meat, she never had them come to our table, we had to flag done the men to get what we needed. The food was good but the service was very bad.
It was our anniversary and we had a 9:30pm reservation. We were staying at the Anthenium Hotel so we were able to walk to the restaurant. So romantic. We were seated by the window the lighting was soft. Our meal was amazing and to top it off we received free dessert.
Went with the family to celebrate our son's 40th birthday. Very lively/noisy on a Friday night. Festive location across the street from Campus Martius which was all lit up for the holidays. Parking close by in structure. Interesting concept with amazing salad bar with both vegan and paleo choices that you start right away (our wait to be seated was very short). The meats- which are excellent- are then brought to your table later by roving servers. Our only complaint is that the servers often walked right by us and we missed some of the offerings. One server cut the lamb for only one person at the table and then left abruptly though the others were waiting and we never saw the lamb again. Perhaps this would not be an issue on a less busy night. Overall we had a very enjoyable time!
