Texas de Brazil - Columbus Ratings and Reviews
We went there to celebrate my son's birthday who has high expectations in a restaurant and a very distinguished palate. He loved it as everyone else in our party did. The food was amazing. I'm vegan and had plenty of delicious options on the salad bar. They even accommodates us on a busy evening with a large party which saved the day for me because I forgot to make a reservation. In so appreciative if them being so accommodating, delicious, with excellent service. I absolutely love this place!!
My husband and I took my parents here for their first time this weekend. (We have been before.) They were so impressed! They loved the salad bar/buffet area and filled up on meats. They said the meat was cooked perfectly for their liking and was so tender. My husband loves the sausage and our waitress had the servers bring extra to our table. My mom requested ribs and they immediately brought some out to our table first. Although it's a busy place, it was quiet enough to hear our conversation at the table, even for my dad who is slightly hard of hearing. My parents were so impressed they can't wait to go back - which is saying a lot because they're very picky about restaurants!
Just a little pricey for what you get, my wife and I went for a date night and spent $150 for just the 2 of us. I can see where the cost is generated from, however I feel like there were more fillers and less main dishes. Still a great experience over all and will go back just only once a year.
The buffet at Texas de Brazil is quite good and, in my opinion, is better than the meats that were served the day we were there. The meats were way oversalted. Considering the price of dinner (~$45.00 without a drink or a dessert), it would be good if dessert items were included on the buffet.
Fabulous salad bar with many options, awesome meat choices, great sides, etc. and a wonderful place for family gathering who wanted a beautiful Thanksgiving meal without having to prepare the food/menu ourselves! We are thankful you made this meal so awesome for our out of town guests giving us more time to spend together!
Food service was great when we firat arrived, but then had to ask multiple times for food service. Waiter made mistake with bill and took longer to correct the problem than it did for the entire dinner. Manager never apologized and even took the discount that they mistakenly applied to our bill off without any explanation to us
My experience was not that great service wise. I was trying to celebrate Veteran's day as I am a vet. However, I was first turned away service when I arrived at 3. There appeared to plenty of room. However, I was told by the mnager/host that I wouldn't be seated and that he couldn't fit me in because of veterans day. His explanation didn't make any sense as to why we couldn't be seated and the bar seating was not offered to us as it was other patrons. However, I walked out and then requested a reservation and 3:30 popped up as available so I made the reservation. I walked back in and had no issue with the reservation and was able to be seated. However, once seated we had to wait for our drinks that we ordered for like 20 minutes and then 45 minutes for the bananas and the mash potatoes to go with our meals. Our service was not that great as if they were trying to make a point that they didn't really want us there. I wasn't sure if we weren't wanted there because the seating issue when we were rejected or if he didn't believe I was a vet in which I presented my military ID or if it because we are a same sex couple. I don't understand. I've never had this issue before. We use Texas de Brazil for all our big events. This year alone we went for our anniversary, adoption celebration, birthdays and for date nights. I also wasn't sure why the manager wanted to turn away business to a vet on Veteran's day or any business at all. The food was great as always, the lighting and mood were amazing as always, but all that doesn't matter if you don't have the customers. Even as we continued to eat the tables weren't filled and looks like we could have been seated without the confrontation. Thank you for the open table service as we were still able to enjoy great food on that day, but without being able to make a reservation we would have been turned away.
We came here for an anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience. I have several serious, life-threatening food allergies and don’t get to eat out often. The manager, Jason Dobbin, personally offered to take me on a tour of the kitchen and explained everything so well. He talked me through the entire menu and was very upfront about which foods might be contaminated with something I couldn’t eat. He had my food prepared separately and even adjusted the price since I wasn’t able to eat very many foods. It was absolutely delicious and I felt confident that the food was safe for me. Thank you Jason for an amazing evening at your establishment!
I give the food a 4 star just because the garlic mash potatoes were ice cold. And the value I thought it was a little over priced for the food choices. The meats were fantastic but the salad bar was a little disappointing and there were no other side choices.
Great variety on the salad bar....and once the meat begins it is a never ending parade of delicious selections. I don’t remember having an empty plate! Our server was also very attentive. On the downside, we had a dining party of 6 and our table was in a very dark corner. All and all it was a great experience.
