Texas de Brazil - Columbus
My wife and I chose to eat here for a late dinner on a weekend getaway. Our bill was over $100 which I have no problem paying if I have something to show for it. We both ordered diet colas and they came out in 8oz bottles and they charged us $3 per cola. The salad bar was large however most of it was just different random foods and not many options for a traditional salad. Our portion of mashed potatoes that they dropped of was barely enough for the two of us. I could have overlooked all of this had we been impressed with different types of meats that were offered to us. The only cut of meat I was impressed with was the flank steak. It had the best flavor, and was oddly enough the most tender. The portion of meats were also very small. At one point I was offered 1 shrimp. To be honest you'd be better going to a high end steak house and spending $40-$50 on a good cut of steak than going here. I won't ever be back. Also, for high priced restaurant like this I would have expected better service.
Overall experience was exceptional, no waiting for food, time of service was great!
The food and service were just as good as the previous times that we visited - excellent. The only reason that I rated it 4 stars was that I didn’t like the Caipirinha and it was expensive considering that I didn’t even like it.
Always a great time to treat a client
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! I took my daughter for her birthday. She had never had a dining experience like this. While there are no special birthday deals or acknowledgement, it still was a special night.
It was hard getting well-done beef brought out. But a server named Nijal I think that was his name, made sure to go get some well-done several times. Everyone was nice and the service was good, I just really appreciated Nijal not forgetting me and making sure I had the kind of meat I preferred.
We are here for my nephews college graduation. The food was excellent and the waitress was great. The meat servers were a little slow but overall a very enjoyable meal.
We had a great time on mother’s day. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would recommend to anyone.
Obviously under new management and not for the better. Service was worst we have ever had there. Meat was hard to come by and overcooked. Worst experience ever there. Will not go back.
That was my first time there. The food was amazing, I like how you can try a variety of meats. I will return in the future.
My husband and I absolutely love it here! The waiters and staff are always friendly and the food is simply AMAZING!
It’s definitely not a cheap date night, but it’s worth it if you come hungry. The food is always great and we had a particularly exceptional server this time. I wish I could remember her name!
Perfect....nice spot for an intimate party. Nice friendly staff. Clean fast service
Amazing food and service is great ,we love this place
My stepmother and godmother are in their 80s and thriving. They love this place. I like it because, even with my food sensitivities, I can eat like a king. The service was great. The food was awesome and the ladies loved it. Aas usual.
Not worth the money for sure I only wanted a salad and got charged 45$..worst experience ever!!
WOW!! Texas de Brazil far exceeded our expectations! A group of 6 of us went out this past weekend to celebrate Mothers Day and from the moment we walked in the door we were treated with smiling helpful faces and amazing customer service. The salad bar had SO MANY options, the cheese bread and mashed potatoes were delicious but the star of the show, the meats were melt in your mouth delicious!! My favorite, the medium rare ribeye was the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! I need about 6 months to recover from the amount of food I ate that night lol! Well worth the drive and money. Also I had the chocolate cake and it was so rich a delicious, perfect ending! I also highly recommend their white citrus sangria!! This may be our new Mothers Day tradition! :)
Went for my Birthday. The food was delicious and enjoyed the atmosphere. Me and my friends had a great time. My only regret was they didn't have more lamb choices during the day.
Always great just wish they had lamb chops for lunch!
I had an reservation for a party of 7 at 50$/person. That’s 300$ for the bill, you would think as expensive the place is service would be superb. On the contrary service was horrendous and when it come to our table they lacked gumption. This was an early Mother’s Day dinner for the women in my family with it being my grandmothers first time at this establishment. This place was suppose to blow her socks off and have her feeling like she should tell everyone to try this restaurant out but it was the opposite, she never wants to come back and will not have any good stories to tell her friends about the place. On 3 or 4 separate occasions people at my table had to mention to the server and also manager that were weren’t getting any meat or service they would simply reply is there a specific meat you would like. Are you serious? Which specific meat , this establishment brings around skewers of meat at a variety and your asking us if there is one specific we want everytime. We want the variety like it suppose to be. Safe to say the people I was with or myself with ever be dining with this establishment again. It was simply a NIGHTMARE.
This was amazing it was my 3rd time coming back and I love it
Enjoyed our experience.
This was my 31st time to this location for dinner. It was awesome, and Brie was very attentitive.
Celebrated my birthday here on May 6. The salad bar was amazing, especially the cheese and potato salad. For my entree, I tried just about everything; lamb, ribs, chicken, etc. I enjoyed them all. If you’re thinking about going, don’t hesitate...just do it.
Our waiter was great and the food was terrific as usual. Our only complaint was that we were sitting in the corner and many times the guys with the food walked right past us. I told the manager and then we had a number of people come to the table with food but it happened a few other times as well.
They just need to remember the tables in the corners.
I love this place. I always choose this place over Rodizio. The management is always friendly and visits as many (or all) tables to talk with patrons. The food was on point during lunch. They took a while to bring out different food and cooking preferences (my wife likes well done meats). The server was initially a little awkward that my wife wanted soda from a the tap. He said they aren't supposed to give refills, however we have never had issue with this and have visited over 6 times. He was a bit more energetic after that however.
You pay an arm and a leg, but you get what you pay for. You can't use the VIP card on lunches, which was a bummer, but the price difference didn't make a difference anyway.
If you get the salad bar, just try a little of what you are curious about instead of wasting your time with a lot of gamble food. I like specific things at the salad bar and tend to forget what I like. The food always tastes the same, so if you didn't like it the first time, you won't like it again. If you love it, you will continue to enjoy it.
Where's the meat!!?? We had to ask several times for servers to come by with meat skewers. The place was fairly busy, but hardly ever saw more than two or three servers on the floor at one time with meat skewers. We were never offered tenderloin, bacon wrapped tenderloin, beef ribs, lamb chops. Had to ask for everything else, except sirloin steak and sausage, or the one time we were offered flank steak after we had ordered dessert. I spent $450.00 for six people, which based on past experiences here, I would have found okay, but lack of steak and meats made it a very very expensive salad bar. The fun and excitement of a Brazilian steakhouse, of having a variety of meats being offered up, just was not apparent. Save a few dollars and eat at a real steakhouse.
Definitely not worth the money. The carvers sliced the meat as thin as deli meat. Pretty sure Oscar Mayer slices their bologna thicker. I understand they cannot give you an 8-oz hunk of meat, but some of the slices were so thin that you couldn't even grab them with the tonges.
The service was great. I made a request for a certain meat and they made sure it came over to my table...fairly quick. Our waitress was very attentive. There was only one meat that was super good (bacon wrapped chicken breast). Most of the others were very dry or tough. The buffet was very good except for the potato salad, as it tasted sour. We were very disappointed, as we expected it to be better for the price.
The waiter Brady was super sweet an extremely polite.
Our experience was very pleasant. Our waiter did an excellent job.
Every bite of every type of meat that we ate tasted as if it had been born, died, AND cooked in salt. It is unfortunate that we spent so much on such a poor quality of meal. Our service was fine and the salad bar was alright, but we will not be returning. We came for good meat and we got deplorably salty jerky instead. Please stop ruining potentially delicious slabs of meat with your heavy-handed salting.
They are super friendly and the serivde is great. The food is ok a lot of steak options not a lot of other meat choices. The meat I did get was either really salty, charred or fatty. The sides of mashed potatoes and bananas were great. Also the salad bar was good.
Had a great dinner to celebrate a friends birthday. Food was amazing, service was outstanding!
They took to long coming to the table with the meats. We sat there a lot with empty plates and they give you very little to eat at one time so if your a hardy eater your going to be pretty hungry
The food was disgusting, meat was just too much with very little flavor and not to mention bleeding very badly from being so rare ....by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been too. Extremely overpriced and over rated , NEVER again!!!!!!
Service was fantastic! Food was great! I did not know what to expect when my family went there. The definitely exceeded my expectations.
Texas de Brazil is just hit and miss. The food is good. That’s usually a given. The waiters keep the drinks full and the buffet is typically stocked. But I don’t know if it’s on purpose or if it’s just terrible service but those cards to tell them to bring the mean don’t do jack. If you can get 4oz of meat per person you’re lucky.
I had three pieces of meat. Each a tiny deli thin slice. The first came right away and then they just kept ignoring us. Walked right past the table to other tables ignoring the card in plane sight. We went over 30mins just watching them walk by as we talked. The waiter asked if I would like anything in particular and I said no, I’ll just see what comes by. But no one ever did. I felt like it was “hey, I’ll send by one more before your bill but you’re done.”
Keep in mind I went to the buffet once and had two pieces of meat up to this point. Not like I was pounding away food.
Finally I asked for a piece if sirloin and a few mins later they brought that and the check.
Was this their way of just cost savings or just poor service. Don’t know. But we’ve been to Texas De maybe 6-7 times and you get this type of service about half the time. When it’s busier and crowded you actually seem to get better service. We went for lunch and were one of only a few tables.
So I wouldn’t recommend this place in general. Good food but very annoying to get your fill of what you came for. We only go here when we have gift cards or someone else wants to go (this time it was gift cards). $80 for two people to eat maybe 4oz total of meat and a salad bar. Lol. Terrible.
Loved it! Amazing food!
First time. Loved it!
