The service was great as we were greeted and introduced to the dining experience by the waitress. The meat quality was really good and the people would take note of your favorite cuts and would come around often to offer more to you. Cheesecake was also really good and the salad bar had a premium presentation as well as quality. They took time to write and give us a piece of cake with “happy anniversary” written on it. Will come back again!
I didn't know what to expect and loved it. It was a set menu of buffet and servers bringing the various meats to the table. You have a little disc red on one side and green on the other. I had to use the red alot! Great service and value. Meat fabulous
As a neighborhood regular, we go here on average once per month. The staff is always pleasant and watching for you. Meat is very good and even the lesser cuts are made very well. Variety is good. Salad bar is also a nice treat and I enjoy the variety and it is very filling and fresh.
Our 16 month old grandson enjoyed the food as well...
Suggestion to TDB, have a moderate wine selection available for families. 50% off $100 bottle of wine is a value but a bit pricey for a regular customer with a family.
Went for my birthday dinner, food was good and staff was great!
We had so much fun. Our Waiter was amazing and the staff was always attentive to our needs.
Every time when I’m in Chicago this is on my list to visit! Never dissappoints! Booked a table for in 3weeks again!
Great Thanksgiving experience. Service was great, food was exceptional.
Mike was awesome, nice and really friendly. Showed great patience with some of my family members. Just wonderful overall experience! Recommend
Parking was terrible, I called twice asking a little directions, employees had not empathy, valet was rude.
Spent Veterans Day here and the food and service was wonderful
We had an amazing time. The food was good, the decor was nice and we were in good company with other veterans. Thank you for saluting us and providing a wonderful complimentary meal for Veterans Day! We greatly appreciate it!!
We came in checked in with hostess advised we are Veterans they seemed indifferent as if they couldn’t care less
Nice dinner setting downtown, very friendly service,
The new location is smaller, more intimate, although a little harder to find. Friendly service, great food, clean, modern atmosphere.
I tried the sausages, chicken wrapped in bacon (bacon tasted like sausage), garlic sirloin, picanha (the house special), and filet mignon. Every meat was delicious, especially the picanha and filet. The garlic mashed potatoes and bananas were also excellent.
The salad bar looked really nice (I'm not much of a salad person). I tried the shrimp (a little spicy), asparagus, couscous, prosciutto, and some tomatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty.
1st time here
Great location for special occasions. I will return to this place for dinner with friends and family.
The food was good, but my wife ended up getting sick shortly after eating there.
Fantastic! Everything was very, very fresh and the staff was excellent--attentive and super fast. Really excellent. Book early!
Loved this restaurant, especially the salad bar. It was excellent and I'll definitely go back.
It's all you can eat meat, served to you by a parade of young men who get paid by the bite: what's not to love?
I really enjoyed my dinner. The service was spectacular.
My boyfriend's first time going and he loved it!
Great place, great food! Will definitely visit again
Super impressed with the total experience. Went for an anniversary celebration and had a great time. Entry is around the corner from Illinois Street, but you'll figure it out. Salad bar was extensive, well prepared and fresh. Selection of meats was unbelievable. Many choices of beef, lamb, chicken, etc. and ALL were remarkably tasty and well prepared. Freshly sliced at your table and served hot. Unlimited garlic mashed and vegetables were an added bonus, but not necessary to fill up. Had to finally cut off the meat servings in spite of how delicious they were - just too much food. Great value. Will come back and bring a load of friends to share.
Booked reservations for 5pm for my Sons birthday, when we got there 1st let me tell you it was empty since they just opened for Dinner, there were 3 hostess and I checked in and they said give us a minute while we get a table for you (knowing the restaurant was completely empty) they saw we had my 1 year old daughter with us and sat us all the way in the back away from the front and middle of the restaurant! Our server was really Nice but the meat server did not bring all the cuts of Meat back by us since we were tucked away in the back and had to ask the server for certain cuts, the only ones that kept coming were the House Special and parmesan chicken over and over! So I was very disappointed in the selection of meat that we received since we were seated in back while nobody else was seated by us for the two hours we were there. It was like we were bad and put into the corner for a Time out cause we had a baby with us on A Friday Night! So do not think we will ever dine at the Chicago Location again!
I love coming here for birthdays and anniversary dinners! With the exception of their anniversary- which sold out before I could make a reservation- really brokenhearted about that one. Staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating. Salad bar is always fresh and fully stocked. Seating can be hit or miss - sometimes, you aren’t in the “meat path” and can go for stretches at a time without being able to get a gauchos attention, but this happens rarely. My only criticism - gauchos pay more attention to the outliers - but I know it’s hard to be everywhere at once. Your waiter always asks if you are looking for a specific cut of meat and will ensure the gaucho brings it to you. The gauchos ask (and remember) how you like your meat. Water is consistently refilled. All in all quite wonderful.
My server was great! We enjoyed ourselves AGAIN!!
Great service and great food!!!
I like that the tables are largish and roomy. Service is excellent, as is the food. Even the salad bar is superb.
As I have been to different TDB locations, I was excited to see how Chicago was and I was disappointed. Our server had no kind of personality and barely engaged with us as customers and even failed to tell a Brazilian story. The food is always good as I am aware it doesn’t really change that much with locations.
Texas De Brazilian a Fantastic place to be.I Celebrated my Birthday there with my family the food and wine were all GREAT THE STAFF & the Cheese cake was AWESOME Recommend it .👍
Great place, love food ,1excellent service.needs more selection of meats
The food was awesome. Just what I expected. Our waiter, Miguel, I think, was very nice and always available and helpful
Though I loved the food, I honestly felt a little looked down upon by my waiter. Being a African American male, I fully know the negative ideas and preconceptions many have about my people, specifically black males under 40. I definitely felt my waiter assumed several things about me and my wife during our meal. I honestly did not feel like I was treated with the appropriate level of customer service until I pulled out my Platinum AMEX. Things changed then. I would never come to this establishment again despite the food being truly delicious. The servers were amazing though! Just not my waiter...
great service!! Our server gave us a free desert due to him being busy at the beginning!
Amazing food and service!! I feel it is one of the best restaurants that I've been too
Our experience was incredible from walking in to the end of our meal. As soon as we walked in we were received with a friendly smile and sat at our table. Our host came right away to attend our needs. We had told the host it was our first time and he gladly gave a in depth explanation accompanied with a friendly smile. He went above and beyond because of my girlfriends bday he brought out a special happy bday desert after we choice cheese cake and with out a request. We are extremely pleased with our experience definitely will be coming back!
This was our first visit to the restaurant. We arrived at around 6 pm on a Friday night. I would estimate the place was about half-full, maybe a little more than that. We enjoyed some pre-dinner drinks, which were good. When we were seated at our table, the waiter came to us immediately. He was cordial and explained the protocol for having meats brought to the table, since this restaurant has a continual flow of meat-bearing servers circulating. We started with a trip to the salad bar, which I thought was attractive and sufficiently-diverse. After that the meats started coming--different kinds of steak, and one variety of chicken. They provide plantains and mashed potatoes as sides. When everyone had had their fill, I wanted one particular kind of steak to come back around for one more taste of it, and that took a little time and asking at least twice. Not sure what caused the delay, but it wasn't a huge deal... We elected for desserts, which were appealing and sizeable. Everyone enjoyed them. I would gladly return to this restaurant in the future, but for us it's certainly a special-occasion kind of place. Dinner came out to about $80/person including one drink, dessert, and tip.
Always a great experience, our favorite meats are the house filet and flank steaks. There's no sushi for the lunch buffet but essentially the same as dinner for much less, definitely try to catch the Friday lunch if you can!
Thoroughly enjoyed the Texas de Brazil anniversary special. Service was great as was the Brazilian soda and the Picanha!
