Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Tex
We were not impressed! All meat offered was tough & chewy. Everything tasted the same, NO flavor at all. The ONLY thing that was interesting was the fact that you could try different meats. We really expected to be blown away. For the price we paid, this was 1st & last time experience!
Even with COVID, the experience was wonderful. Our waitress was pleasant and the head Gaucho was informative about the culture behind the food. My husband and I had a wonderful time.
Our waiter Efrain was amazing, knowledgeable and made our first experience wonderful. We went for my 40th Birthday dinner and he made it very special!
Nice, clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the experience
It's an amazing place to dine and enjoy time with family and friends! The food is great and the price is more than reasonable for everything you receive!
Was very nice, service was amazing. Food was excellent. Was able to celebrate our 1 year anniversary in style and class.
It might be because of COVID, but this visit was not the best. We were only offered a hand full of meat choices & they did not come around often. The food that we were offered was good, but I didn't think it was worth what we paid. I also asked that they surprise my boyfriend with a birthday dessert which did not happen.
I loved it and had a great time with friends I’m definitely going back for more!!!
The new format during COVID was very good for safety. The meats and service is slower. Still worth the time and meal. They just need to master the new service model.
It was pleasant the food was delicious but y’all didn’t have the grilled shrimp how disappointed
The salad bar is delicious. The hot bar with the jasmine rice, black beans, sauteed mushrooms, and augratin potatoes were awesome. OMG!!! the steak was everything. Ribs and chicken were good too. I can't wait to go back.
My brother’s 18th Birthday!
It was nice but it was a been there done that don’t have to go back. Over $100 for 2 and food wasn’t spectacular.
We've gone to TdB a number of times before the pandemic. This was our first time there with the new rules (50% capacity, masks, etc.). We arrived and were ready to deal with the changes, but from the beginning you could tell the staff morale was very low. Bartenders, waiters, servers -- everyone gave off a vibe that suggested they were just tolerating the customers.
While we understand that 50% capacity means more work, and people are a little on edge, the waiters and servers ignored our table for a good 20 minutes before we could get any meat brought our way, and it wasn't a particularly busy night. I don't like to complain, but we had to say something in order to remind them that we existed.
TdB is one of those restaurants that you go to on a special night, whatever the occasion, and considering the price point, the desultory mood among the staff was quite unwelcome. We'll probably try it again after all this is over to see if they shape up, but I don't recommend spending $50 a head right now for what we got. There's a real morale issue there, and it seeps into the atmosphere. Not fun.
Meat service was incredibly slow. We had to specifically ask out server to ask them to bring meat out. It took nearly 20 minutes just for my wife to get a soda. The meat selections that did finally show up were very limited. We have eaten here many times and this was by far our worst experience. We may not be back.
Great service, food, and atmosphere. We enjoyed a rather laid back and quiet atmosphere arriving a little before 5pm with our reservation. The dessert offerings for our birthday celebration all sounded very tempting but we settled on the chocolate mousse cake, which we shared since we were already so full from all the delights offered to us throughout our meal.
We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time, and we checked in 10 minutes early. While waiting to be seated, we had to wait outside on wet couches. The dinner price had increased by 50% since our visit last year, and there were certain meats that were not longer included in that price, and we were told we had to pay extra for those items. We had to mark salad and side items on a form and then they were brought to the table all at the same time...very difficult for three people with different selections. The food was excellent, as expected, however, the selection was much more limited than in previous visits. We will probably not visit this restaurant again until all of this Kung Flu paranoia is over, as it had a big impact on our enjoyment.
it was a great experience. We went for my son's birthday and he loved the pecan pie given to him. The food was fantastic. Our servers were knowledgeable and kind.
Food quality & service was excellent. Looking forward to next visit
The service was incredible ‼️ we had an amazing night and the food was delicious.
Our party of 5 arrived at 4:20 with the hostess being informed we'd be a little late arriving for our 4:15 reservation due to traffic to which she replied that they have a 15 minute hold policy before we'd then have to wait until they could seat us. No problem we'll be about 5 minutes late I responded.
Upon arriving I spoke with said hostess and she said we'll call you as soon as your table is ready. After about 15 minutes I asked if the table was ready yet, as there were maybe 8 tables seated at the time so the restaurant was fairly empty. I was told once again they'd call when ready. Another 10 minutes goes by and I asked what appeared to be a manager this time and after a minute or so he said we have you right here sir.
After reading several reviews about faulty a/c for the past year I asked if the ac worked when I first arrived I was told it did but I noticed the door was propped open with the rug. I informed the hostice that this would put a strain on the ac because it's trying to cool hotter air so it will run longer and less efficient. She said well the door is messed up it'll slam behind you. I asked if the other door worked to which she replied its broken as well.
This is a sore subject among many reviewers and is something that seems to not really matter to the local restaurant nor their corporate office. We didn't get to warm during our hour there but I'm sure it got warmer as the evening went on. The food was pretty good with the pincainna (spelled wrong) was very tasty if you got it with the bark on it. Some of the servings of other dishes were well seasoned while some were not. The servers were good and food arrived fast and for the most part fresh and ordered as cooked. We will try it again. I cautiously recommend trying it.
We had an excellent time. I think it was better than before COVID as it was quieter and less busy.
We will definitely return.
The meat choices were amazing, but the salad was not the best. I did not enjoy the French fries we were brought once we sat down. They tasted like they came out of the freezer. The tables did not have table clothes, and our table had multiple scratches. Our server was attentive and helpful though.
My husband and I have gone to Texas de Brazil for our anniversary the last 3 years. We decided to keep the tradition and go in spite of the pandemic. I'll start with the good. The food and our server were the best.
Lamb chops are now ala cart, which was a big disappointment. Patrons are not allowed at the bar. I wish they would have given us a menu of what was on the bar. We really didn't know what to ask our server to bring. We didn't remember what was on the bar. It was a little disappointing
The ONLY 2 things that could have made it PERFECT experience for my 1st time are:
1) Acknowledgment that I had made a "birthday" reservation
2)An adjusted policy that allows dinners to "box" leftover food
As always, everything was great. Will want to come back after Covid to enjoy the salad bar choices again. Good selections of meats, especially the beef!
My favorite place to eat when I’m in town and the food is amazing
My server was absolutely awesome. I can't remember his name but he said we can call him E. He was so professional and kind. The food was good. The restaurant was clean. We really enjoyed the experience.
Kelly our waitstaff was amazing and Daruis our gaucho was perfect.
Meat lovers paradise. Awesome meats, salad, red potatoes, and more. Thoroughly enjoyed
During this COVID-19 times things are different. But the staff at Texas de Brazil really showed that they could change with the times and or able to give great service with their new protocols.Everyone was on point and the flow was just right.
My husband’s birthday
This was our third time dining here. It was just as wonderful as the first time! I think that they handled the Covid-19 restrictions very well! As always, we had great service and unparalleled food! It’s an experience everyone needs!
For a $120 dollar dinner I would have rather gone to a steak house and picked on item. The new COVID guidelines put a damper on the experience.
We had a double date night with our friends and the night couldn’t be more perfect with the wonder meal we had here tonight.
Great Service! Restaurant takes all precautions to create a safe and enjoyable experience. Food was delicious and our server was great!
We enjoyed our food just wish dessert was included 😊
One of the best restaurant's I have ever eaten at. I enjoyed my birthday dinner and even more ecstatic that I chose this restaurant to celebrate. Outstanding food and service.
My first time very trying Texas de Brazil and it was simply amazing! Everything from the staff to the food was outstanding. I would highly recommend going and trying for yourself. I will definitely be back!
