Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Texas de Brazil.
Great food and service! Quite loud in the restaurant. Because of the price we only go on special occasions.
We love the barbequed meats and the fantastic salad bar and the fabulous house drinks.
This is the best place in Albany to come to celebrate a really special occasion!
The food is first rate and the choices can be overwhelming so pace yourself.
Our waiter was awesome! Bob is a good natured funny guy!! Food was great!
Definitely off their game tonight. Meats were overcooked and the server was not refilling drinks. I must say that the bartender was awesome. We are regulars and love this restaurant. If they were consistent they would be one of the best restaurants.
Took two people that never were there before. All of us had a fantastic time. Day later and the newbies are still talking about the experience. Definitely a special occasion place to have dinner.
The food was amazing! Meat done to perfection and the most comprehensive salad bar I have ever seen in a restaurant.
The staff was excellent the food was amazing definitely recommend
So disappointed with the visit. Service was poor. Fillet mignon never came to our table. The flank steak guy dump the entire stripe of rare meat in my plate in my plate while I only ask for a small slice. Too lazy to cut? That’s a easy way out. Recommend you to try something else if you are looking for a decent experience
Always good food and service. Used up our reduced price card. Good value. Hope the do again.
Love going to this place! Food is outstanding. Would recommend to anyone
The waiter was excellent. Very Efficient and friendly
Several of the beef pieces were tough and had a lot of grizzle. We never experienced this at prior visits
Good place for any occasion. Great salad bar,my Long Island iced tea was perfect. We had a great time
Selection of meats offered were not as flavorful and diverse as in the past.
Had an amazing experience do not remember what my waitresses name was but she has kids and older son and a daughter I will definitely be back to see her again this was on Monday night around 8 o’clock
Delicious food perfect for those who like meat and are willing to try a bunch of different things. I highly recommend getting the chimichurri sauce from the salad bar to have with the bread.
Very good, we love it there. The service this visit was very attentive. Our waiter was very fun and we enjoyed his personality.
I have visited your restaurant at least 10 x. Usually the food is very good. For some reason this time many of the Meats were very tough and grizzly. I’m hoping the the next time it is better.
Went for my sons birthday, told them it was his 16th birthday and nothing took place... we heard a couple of birthdays being honored by the restaurant around us. I personally waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine and the rest of the table wasn’t offered any other beverages except water. There were flies EVERYWHERE! We were also sat in front of the kitchen and all you could hear was kitchen noise , which there were other tables available. Sat near waitstaff and listened to them trash talk their tables. Took them forever to pick up the check so we could pay. Just isn’t as good as other TDB’s I’ve been to. What a waste of money on such an occasion.... not to mention no birthday mention and it was his 16th.
We have eaten at many Texas de Brazil’s and we can count on Albany’s to be perfectly seasoned meat over the past 5 years they have been open! Always perfect like Memphis, all the Orlando’s, Miami, Las Vegas. But Hartford CT needs help...Oscar!!!
We have dined at Texas deBrazil in Albany numerous times and always enjoy the service and the food.
My wife and I took my Sister-In-Law and Niece and we had top notch food and it was top notch service. Our waiter had the best attitude, was very helpful, and met our every need! The food was TREMENDOUSLY GOOD!!! Can’t wait for next time!
The food was great, however the service was sub-par. The server returned to our table on multiple occasions regarding our drink orders. Had he written the orders down it may have been better. More than once we were told the bar was out of stock on things on their menu. One of the drinks came out completely wrong and two others we are still not sure what was wrong with them aside from the fact that there definitely was not the type of alcohol in our drinks that we ordered. After the entire night I was embarrassed to have suggested the place to the family to begin with.
Excellent service and great food, they have very good Food, can’t wait to visit this place again , was a great night and very good experience.
Texas de Brazil definitely knows how to feed you. If you go with the less expensive "salad bar only" option, you will not go home hungry. The salad bar selection is big, and the quality of the options is high. Green salads, cured meats, cold shrimp, cheeses, vegetables, bread, maki,.... Plus with it, there are hot selections including au gratin potatoes, rice, beans, lobster bisque. If you've got the appetite, do the full meal with the meats. Unless you tell them to stop, waiters keep coming to the table with skewers of meat and serve you whichever you want and how much you want. There are many types of beef, plus a couple kinds each of chicken and lamb, and sausage. And as if you needed it, they bring cheesy rolls, garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted bananas to the table. Not cheap, but a great meal.
This is our fourth year coming here to celebrate our anniversary. Food was wonderful and the staff was very attentive. Love coming for special occasions.
Meat was often overcooked. I received brown steak 3 times. The chicken and pork were dry and overcooked. Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon was well done.
Charging $2.50 per refill of soft drink should be a crime. Drinks only cost that much when there are free refills. 8oz of soda cost you like 5 cents and you're charging that much for each serving!?!
We love Texas de Brazil! However, we had to ask for rolls, mashed potatoes and water for our table. We’ve been there at least 10 times in the past 2 years.
Great variety of meats, delicious food.
In the past we have enjoyed the sampling of meats presented by the gouchos. This last visit was a bit disappointing. The parmesan pork had good flavor but was over cooked. Just about all of the beef cuts given to us were rare when we asked for medium and the cuts all had excessive ligaments and silver skin still in tacked in the meat. The extra fat on the outside we can handle. Unchewable contents within the meat isn't good eats. It seemed maybe the quality of the meat has lessened. The cook seemed fine, other then needing a few more mins.
Our experience was extraordinary! The food was amazing and our waiter John was attentive and super knowledgeable! We had an awesome time and will definitely be going back!
Very friendly and accommodating to my allergies. Chef came out and walked me through the salad bar. Great time with the family.
Loved it! From the salad bar to the meat, everything is great. Lamb chops, sirloin and the garlic filet are my favorite.
Experience was outstanding mostly because of our outstanding server Braeton (sp?). We have had him before. His attention to detail makes it a good meal great.
We made reservations through Open Table and received a few emails confirming our reservation. Still when we arrived there was no reservation under our name. The hostess even showed me the list of reservations and we were not listed. This was our 30 year old sons birthday celebration so it was stressful to start it out that way. Food was fantastic but over priced and service felt rushed and hectic.
Honestly we will be back but it will be for the salad bar which was actually better than the meats. The filet was well done and the lamb was pretty much raw (not rare) the first time they came around. All of the meats rated together I would say are a 3-4 out of five. The top sirloin was very good as was the flank steak. All of the pork and chicken was dry and overcooked.
